Great people, great experience
5/5

We had a great experience thanks to Musafa Tours.
The booking process went smoothly and our contact, Joel, was always swift with replies to our questions. We had a 3 day tour to Tsavo East and West. Collection from our hotel in Nairobi was on-time, with Joel also there to introduce our driver and guide, Peter. Our minivan was basic but became our home on the road.
Peter was a great host and a safe and experienced driver. He answered all manner of questions and requests. Most importantly, he was amazing at spotting various animals and pointing them out to us.
The accommodation at Serena Lodge was even better than we expected. We were able to watch countless animals coming and going at the watering hole right in front of us as we ate dinner! From the balcony of our room, which was clean and in good condition, we could also see animals wandering by. Aruba Lodge was good too although not quite the same level as Serena (no wifi in rooms).
The journey back to Nairobi is long but not unpleasant. Peter was very accommodating and we were dropped at a convenient spot near the airport for our flight back to UK.
I would definitely recommend Musafa Tours.
Big thanks to Joel and Peter and all the Mufasa team.

Phenomenal tour operators
5/5

My overall experience with Mufasa tours was phenomenal. I’ll start with my first initial contact with Pauline. She was very responsive, professional and transparent. Communication was spot on! Being a female solo traveler planning my first safari trip it was very important to me that I was staying in a safe place and that the trip was thoughtfully planned. I am extremely happy with the accommodations at Mara Bush Camp that Pauline had arranged for me. The food was better than many five star restaurants I’ve been at. The grounds were well protected by staff. Nelson the manager was so welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Any many other staff members made my stay there memorable. Thank you Flavia, Leakey, Donald! Last but not least the trip would have not been the same if it wasn’t for Collin my private game tour guide…aka captain Collin. He made sure the game drives were fully enjoyed. From starting the drives as early as requested to having breakfast and lunch packed to assure we had food while being out on a full day drive. I wouldn’t have gotten the picture and videos that I have of the amazing animals if it wasn’t for Collin and his suggestions and driving locations. More than that his demeanor of life has also impacted my life and way of thinking. Hakuna Matata…his favorite saying kept me at ease and made me realize there’s no reason to over stress. Thank you all so much for making this the most epic and memorable trip.

Definitely Would Recommend
5/5

I had a great experience on my Kenya Safari trip thanks to Mufasa and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Communication was excellent. I called their hotline at 4am Kenya time while I was having issues with the airline and they answered. They were even able to help me with a visa issue and get it expedited in a couple hours to my surprise. In the unfortunate chance that something happens, you can count of them to help resolve any issue at any time.

The lodges that were booked exceeded my expectations, as well as the food they provided. The game drives were incredible and our guide Hosea was a lot of fun and knowledgeable. I also needed to kill some time before boarding my flight out on the last day and Mufasa kindly prepared a day tour of Nairobi with John and James who were both great as well. I will hopefully be back again soon in the future.

Amazing experience from a great tour company!
5/5

We went on two trips in July , an one day trip to Nairobi national park and a safari to the Masai Mara

The first trip to the Nairobi national park was great, our tour guide Hosea was very friendly and we got to see plenty of animals, overall 5/5 experience

On the second safari we had Emmanuel as our tour guide and he was just as great, his knowledge and experience were on full display as we managed to see all we wanted, also a 5/5 experience

All in all, Mufasa was a great choice, the communication with Joel was very smooth, we were able to arrange everything from the pickup location to the time etc.

I would definitely recommend them if you're planning a safari in Kenya, these guys are professionals.

Excellent
5/5

Mufasa Tours and Travels are probably the most organised and professional tours available. From the first email of communication to Ms. Pauline to the very end of our tour they where reliable, efficient, friendly and very informative. From pick up at the airport by Mr. John and Mr. James, to meeting our tour operator Mr. Sam at the camp, our 4 day stay was a sensational experience filled with many fun filled safari drives as well as lovely breakfasts and dinners. We felt at ease throughout our stay and comfortable to ask Mr. Sam everything we needed to know, we left with heavy hearts and have definately gained the most trustworthy tour and travel agents in Kenya. I can’t recommend Mufasa Tours enough for their excellency and superb service. We thank you for making our trip an unforgettable one with so many fond memories. We wish you the very best of success always. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unforgettable experience
5/5

Our tour guide named Nelson was a well experienced driver and has a good luck in spotting animals!
We were able to see the Big five (except Rhinos) and many other wild animals in a day!
A lion approached to our van and lied under the shade of our van. It was so close that we could almost touch the lion!(of course we didn’t though!)
The camp we stayed was Loyk Mara Camp.
Full of hospitality and beautiful clean facility.

We can’t thank more for making our first Maasai Mara trip so memorable.

Our tour operator Joel was also great. He replied to my email promptly and the communication was smooth! Thanks!!

Once in a lifetime dream come true.
5/5

While traveling in Kenya my wife and I were given the opportunity to do a safari in Masai Mara. We came across Mufasa tours online and I am very glad we did.

Booking and planning online was very convenient. Coming from America we were able to use WhatsApp to communicate and Joseph, who we talked with, was very attentive and thorough.

Our guide Julius made a once and a lifetime experience even more memorable. He picked us up in Nairobi and drove us to the Mara. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the trip down part of our experience learning about Kenya. Loved to share his passion for wildlife and his country. With around 30 years experience, I don’t know if we could have found anyone better suited to guide us.

Once arriving at the Mara we had a limited amount of time but a very long list of what we wanted to see… a tall order. Julius went out of his way to make sure we got to experience everything we had hoped for. I even mentioned in conversation wanting to try traditional Kenyan food and at our last night at the camp I was surprised with some ugali at dinner. Julius had mentioned to the kitchen staff our previous conversation and made sure I got what I had wanted.

We feel very fortunate to have had this experience and are thankful to everyone at Mufasa for helping plan this. If you are traveling from abroad and planning safari trips in Kenya you can feel confident in using Mufasa, they are very attentive and user friendly. And do yourself a favor and request Julius if he is available.

The best safari experience we could ever wish for
5/5

Right from the start the communication with Mufasa was highly professional and transparent. Polly was very responsive, always answered our questions immediately and with all needed details. Several tailored options were provided regarding the exact tour, accomodations and additional activities during the safari. All the lodges and camps booked for us were great. Very clean, safe, great locations and with good food. We felt safe and in good hands from the start!

The safari itself was a breathtaking experience that exceeded all our expectations! Especially our guide Dan was incredible and made this experience so very special. He is not only an absolute expert regarding wildlife, which he explains in unparalleled detail, but also knew absolutely everything about Kenya, its culture and people. Dan always went the extra mile to ensure we have the best time possible and filled our days with smiles and laughters. His extensive safari experience of 20+ years is invaluable as he knows all parks, how to move around and where to spot the most interesting animals. Dan as a guide really makes the difference - we would go on Safari with him anytime again. He is the best guide we could have imagined!

We would strongly recommend to go on Safari with Mufasa as they provide a personal and outstanding experience!

Great trip and safari provider!
5/5

Our trip with Mufasa was amazing!

Communication and planning: Communication and planning with Polly was easy and effortless. She answered quickly and was very accommodating in every way. Polly and our driver met us at the airport, and took great care of us.
We even got a reusable water bottle from them as a gift - a nice little gesture.
The company is very professional and honest, so I really do recommend them! They are well organized and always on time.

Accommodation in Masai Mara: We stayed at Loyk Mara. The service and food was excellent. The tents are very luxurious and clean, and there are no bugs inside the tents. They have hot running water, great wifi and electricity 24/7. At night they even but a heating bottle in our bed - and it was the most comfortable and luxurious feeling! They did all these extra services that made you feel very at ease and relaxed.
The camp lies in the open wilderness with no fences, so you will hear and see animals during day and night. After sundown, the local masai accompany you if you go outside from your tent. The camp has a beautiful pool and very scenic surroundings.

When we arrived after a long drive from Nairobi, we did not want to drive out for a short game drive. The camp offered us a complementary walking safari on the savannah outside the camp. Three Masai's took us around, showing is footprints and animals. That was really amazing, and one of our favorite memories! We saw giraffes, hyenas and many other animals in really close proximity.

The camp is located a bit "further out" from the areas where there are a lot of camps near each other (for example around Talek og Mara Simba), but I would say it is worth the extra hour of driving without a doubt!!
We did not know that the camp was a bit far away, and when looking on Google Maps it is located very to by the other camps, but driving just 1 KM takes much longer time than what you would expect (due to the roads etc.). That's good to keep in mind when roaming around in Masai Mara.

Driver: Our driver Tony was a nice and calm guy. He drove really well to and from Nairobi, and we never felt scared in the traffic. During the game drives in Masai Mara, he did his best to find animals and he was very successful at it. We saw some really amazing things! Including a heard of 20 lions relaxing together and 3 leopards! Quite the rare experience. He also know the Masai Mara by heart, and drove well there.
He is not the most talkative person, but if you ask him questions, he is knowledgeable and very friendly.
He also made every breakfast and lunch very memorable and peaceful! We ate out in the wilderness to beautiful views and surroundings.

Car: We had the Toyota landcruiser, and I really recommend you have that car. Driving off road (like you do in the Masai Mara) is quite the experience, and no car is better than the landcruiser for this type of driving!
The only issues were that not all the seat belts were working, and the windows were a bit difficult to open. It was ok though, as we were only two persons.
