Professional service, nice staff, no stress

The safari at Selous was well organised, we enjoyed all our stay. The staff was professional, flexible and paying attention to our needs. Hippo camp, on the Rufiji river is a beautiful place. We really enjoyed the sunset boat safari. The park is very big and game drive lasted the entire second day. The walking safari was also very good, with an excellent and entertaining guide. Great safari with great guide

We experienced a very well organized safari to Mikumi national park in August 2015. Our guide was very helpful, friendly and made the best out of every game drive.
However, anyone who planes a safari from Daressalam to Mikumi national park should be aware that the drive takes a long time (7h) and therefore a two day safari is quite exhausting. Unfortunately we only had two free days and thusit w ... Read moreas a great choice.

great experience

I highly recommend the Company. We loved the experience.
Our driver had a huge knowledge about the animals, always trying to find nice things to see, and being very patient and we want stop to take pictures.
Our cook (Eric) was excellent as well. His food was delicious.
Both of them were very kind.

Amazing safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongro. A special experience to be recommended!

Myself and my boyfriend did a safari with Kanuth Adventure Safaris to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We were really happy overall. We did a private tour with a guide/driver and a cook. The food was excellent (thanks Eric!) and the guide was an excellent driver and very good at bringing us to the action! We thought it was good value for all of the things that are included. Kanuth was very accommodating and good to deal with. Thanks Kanuth!

Genuinely satisfying no frills safari

We had 4 days in Selous in September and had a fantastic time with Kanuth's team. The communication between Kanuth and us was seamless in organising the trip, and from being picked up to dropped off at the end, everything ran smoothly.

Our driver/guide and chef were fun, knowledgable, professional, and very hard working and spent a lot of time and effort with us to make sure we saw the most we ... Read more possibly could in the time we had and that we enjoyed ourselves.

We would absolutely use Kanuth's company again for future safaris.

The 4 days in Selous are varied with boat safari/game drives/walking safari which gives you a flavour of local tribes and traditions. It allows for 2 full days of game drives, which is important because if you only give yourself one day and don't see much there's no wiggle room to go back and try again. We saw quite a lot more on the second game drive day so it was well worth it, and they were truly full days.

Food is generous and the setting in which you enjoy the downtime is well considered. We stayed in basic camping accommodation and for those who are looking for more budget options, this is a value-for-money choice.

Affordable safari, comfortable accommodations and we saw a lion up close!

Our tour guide, Tony, was very kind. He answered our questions as we drove to the national park and throughout the safari. His English was fine; we did need to repeat questions and did not always understand him. We would have liked him to share a little more information with us on his own (without us asking). We always felt safe with Tony driving.

We saw wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, baboons, hippos, impalas, zebras and several other animals on the safari. Our highlight was seeing a lion from 10 meters away. Tony always made sure we were ready to move on before driving away from an animal.
Kanuth was timely in responding to our emails and questions. We were very happy with the low price for the 2-day safari.

Davids was a great guide - we had a brilliant, value for money safari

My girlfriend and I had a 3 day 2 night trip to Selous Game Reserve through Kanuth Adventure Safaris.

The full day driving in the park was excellent and definitely the best bit. Davids was a very good guide. We also got to see hippos and crocodiles on a boat safari, and went on a walking safari which was fun and taught us about how some tribes use some of the local plants / trees, etc. but ther ... Read moree wasn't really much viewing of animals so I wouldn't really describe it as a "safari".

The accommodation at tented Hippo Camp was basic, but fine. The food cooked for us was excellent.

Overall the safari was very good value - we paid US$500 each for a private car, guide and chef for the two of us, picking us up from Dar airport and dropping us at Dar ferry port as we requested.

An amazing weekend!
Rating:

We were only two girls who wanted to do a Selous safari in that weekend, an intense adventure on a jeep that really changed the way we lived our Trip to Tanzania. Very comfortable car, we slept at Hyppo camp and I really enjoyed it!!! Great Driver and great chef that followed us during all our stay. Warmly recommended
