Trip of a Lifetime!!!
Norah, William, and Malizawa made our trip of a lifetime a huge success. Exceeded our expectations and made all our dreams come true. Attention to every detail and amazing work ethic is what you can expect. We saw the Big 5 and more. Thank you Gosheni!

Professional, breathtaking experience
We just finished a fantastic 8 day safari in Tanzania with Bariki as our guide. We traveled with our family of 6. None of us has been to Africa before, and we didn’t know what to expect. Bariki made the entire experience fun and fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the national parks and was amazing at spotting animals. His expert driving got us as close as possible to the animals and to the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. We liked how we discussed plans each evening to make sure timing and expectations worked for each day. We could not have enjoyed this trip more, we learned so much at dinner about Tanzania through friendly conversations, too. I highly recommend Bariki as a guide to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and Arusha.

Our guide, Bariki is excellent! He is the BEST!
Bariki’s knowledge is incredible, he would tell us names of each animal, bird and plant, their lifestyle and their specialities. He is very familiar with the parks and absolutely careful and alert in caring for our well-being. He brought us to see many amazing sightings and by the end of our 10 days with him, we feel that we know the animals and birds very well. He kept his jeep spotless because we spent 10 days in the jeep and our windows were so clean for our picture taking. Because of Bariki, I will give a 5 plus!
However, I will give a 3 to the accommodations. Olkarien Eco Safari Camp was leaking, slippery (unsafe) and no hot water for shower. Acacia Tarangire Luxury camp was old and the taps in the shower was not working. The friendliness of the hotel staff made up the short comings but I mentioned it here, hoping Gosheni will maintain the hotel better. The other hotels like Manyara Secret Lodge, Serengeti River Camp and Lions Paw Camp were fine.
For communications and operations, I will give it a 2. We do not get response and had to send reminders. :-(

Great tour guide, accommodation mismatch
Our driver-tour guide Bariki is above excellence. He is knowledgeable about the habits of animals in the bush, birds as well as plants. As a result, he made our journey a truly memorable experience. Added to that, Bariki's good sense of humour kept us looking forward to each new day.
Gosheni sold us a mid luxury package which had a couple of disappointing hotels- Olkarien Eco Camp and Acacia at Tarangire. Both are part of the Acacia chain, I would steer clear of them. These were not four star but the former was really below three stars. The Olkarien is badly in need of upkeep. However, the staff at both tried their best and we were happy with their efforts. We also stayed at hotels in the Karibu chain, and those were a cut above.
Gosheni needs an operations person, badly. The sales person who sold us the package started ghosting us just before and at the beginning of the trip. That was terrible.
Overall, Gosheni has to try to ensure a more consistent standard, not just good tour guides.

Impressive
We chose Gosheni after seeing raving reviews and decided to choose them as we believe they are worth the price.
Operational was a little bit disappointment as we met with some issues during the tour. However, their person in charge do step up and assist to solve all the issues.
Even to the extend of driving a new jeep to Serengenti to switch our jeep which is another 8hrs drive. This can show that they really take care of their customers and sincerely do want to solve all the problems to ensure you have a good trip.
We were assigned to Inno Marufu in Tanzania and he can really drove in the dark and able to navigate anywhere. He did not mind when we wanted to end late to try to see more animals or even suggested us to leave earlier so we can still see what we want. Together with the long driving, its pretty tedious for the driver guide.
We love the stay in Lake Manayara however due to long journey, we always did not get to see or enjoy the hotel facilities. And it would be better if the person who suggested this route could have given a better advice on which route to be consider to take a plane or even staying inside the crater to reduce the travelling time.
Overall, we are still pleased with the service as the guide do show us what we see and also explain to us the crossing is not everyday and we tried our best but did not see them.
Most importantly, Inno respect the animals boundaries and did not cave in when we insisted to go nearer during the migration. He will always tell us to wait at the side so animals have their space and only go nearer when it is safer or we only can see from an instance. Unlike other operators, they dash next to the wilderbeest whenever they tried to cross and this cause the animals to react out of nature.
As much as we wanted to take impressive photos, being able to say NO to other guides and stopping them is remarkable.
They did not give in to tourism or customers or for money. They truely enjoy sharing the experience and the culture of Africans.
Thank you for the experience, we will love it more if logistic is less tedious and not so many hiccups. But overall, is fine. Enjoy the process and everything is Hakuna Matata.

Gosheni exceeds expectations with superior serivce and knowledge
By Edward Dooling, USA
About 10 months ago, a good friend invited my wife and me to join him and his wife on a safari. He reached out to five or six different safari companies, and we ultimately selected Gosheni. The main reason for choosing Gosehni was the exceptional communication skills and professionalism displayed by their sales agent, Nora. Nora provided great guidance, earning our trust and our business.
The trip that Nora and the Gosheni Safari Team put together was top-notch and executed flawlessly. We cannot recommend them highly enough! From the moment we landed in Tanzania to our final goodbyes, everything was well-organized and exceeded all of our expectations.
Our guide for the 10-day safari was a great young man, Laban. He was simply phenomenal. Laban is a subject matter expert on everything we saw on our safari, from the vast array of animals to the birds and plant life. He also shared his personal story of what it is like to get married in his country, including the various tribes and local culture. His passion and energy for being a safari guide are second to none. Every game drive was a new adventure, and thanks to his keen eye and experience, we saw the Big Five and so much more. We even witnessed the birth of a hippopotamus, something I never imagined I’d see! We were also fortunate to see two wildebeest crossings at the Mara River, and three members of our team witnessed a wildebeest get eaten by a crocodile.
The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for photography and long days out in the parks. We visited Arusha National Park, Ngorogoro Crater, Central Serengeti National Park, and Northern Serengeti National Park, and each park was stunning in its own way. Gosheni made the transitions seamless and enjoyable.
Accommodations arranged by Gosheni were fantastic, unique lodges with warm hospitality and breathtaking views. We especially loved The Four Seasons and the Mara River Camp, where we fell asleep to the sound of wildebeest outside our room. While at the Mara River Camp, we were assigned a butler named Ola, who took great pride in his work and loved seeing his clients enjoy the impeccable service and excellent food that was provided there.
If you're looking for a company that is reliable, passionate, and committed to giving you the best possible safari experience, Gosheni is the one. We came home with memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you, Nora, our guide Laban, and the entire Gosheni team, for an extraordinary adventure!

Awesome Safari - Gosheni went above and beyond
Our Safari with Gosheni was beyond our expectations. Marline was wonderful in setting up and customizing our 9 day tour. Zadock, our guide was very knowledgeable about all of the animals and made sure we saw the big 5 plus so much more. We saw 7 cheetah, many lions and lion cubs, hyenas, a leopard and many other amazing animals and birds. Zadock seemed to always know where to look for the animals and how to find the best location for our photos. He was exceptionally good at navigating the rough roads in the parks. To top it all off we saw the Wildebeast crossing the Mara River. We feel very lucky to have had Gosheni and Zadock arrange and guide us through this trip of a lifetime. We would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris and thier awesome guide Zadock for your Safari trip.

Unforgettable Experience with Rodrick!
My husband and I had the most unforgettable experience with Gosheni Safaris and our wonderful guide, Rodrick. Prior to the trip, Norah was extremely helpful as our Gosheni contact. She was flexible and created different itineraries for us while we were trying to find flight dates. Norah always responded to our emails within 24 hours. After booking, there was another stop we wanted to make, and Norah quickly and efficiently added the stop into our existing itinerary.
We are forever grateful to our expert guide, Rodrick. Rodrick is a true gentleman. He is patient, helpful, and a real expert in his field. His knowledge of the animals is astounding, and my husband and I learned so, so much. Rodrick is a very safe and skillful driver who navigates the roads of the Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater as smoothly as possible. Rodrick understands animal behaviour very well and because of this, we were able to see some very special sights. It was obvious that Rodrick has a deep appreciation and love for his country, its people, and its animals. We are going to miss Rodrick very much!
Joseph, the translator who accompanied us to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, was a kind, smart man with a great sense of humour. He helped us have very meaningful conversations with the people there. The Gosheni Safaris drivers who drove us from the airport upon arrival and to the airport for our departure arrived for our pick-ups promptly.
The lodges and camps we stayed at through Gosheni Safaris were clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Arusha Planet Lodge, Serian Tarangire Camp, Enkirari Wilderness Camp, Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp, and Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge were awesome places to stay with very kind people working there. They were all in perfect locations either very close to or INSIDE the national parks. Very fun!
Ultimately, Tanzania is a very special place. Its animals and history are breathtaking, and its people treat you with kindness. My husband and I are still processing our trip. We are so grateful for the experience in Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris, Norah, and Rodrick. We will be back one day! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Reliable professionals who you can entrust your adventures with!
We decided to go with Gosheni for our honeymoon trip to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Zanzibar because from the very start, their communication and itinerary were clear, thorough, and a good value for all they offered. Being able to work with one vendor to arrange everything was a real advantage. Gosheni arranged our regional flights, hotels, meals, ground transportation and tours, and were responsive to feedback and our priorities. They even helped communicate our dietary needs to each hotel (celiac/gluten-free).
The accommodations Herman & Team Gosheni arranged were all terrific (Kibo Palace, Enkirari, Naserian, Acacia Farm Lodge, Seyyida, and the Z hotel).
The food was tasty everywhere we went. We usually went for veggie omelettes and coffee at breakfast, and delicious soups + stewed meats (or fish in Zanzibar!) + rice + cooked veg at lunch and dinner.
We arrived with open minds and no expectations for our wildlife safari, and happened to catch the tail end of the wildebeest & zebra migration season. The scale of that was breathtaking in a way we couldn’t have imagined - a herd even crossed in front of our sundowner picnic one evening! We got to see lion cubs playing at dusk; grown lions in trees, having a meal and even mating. Elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, baboons, cheetahs, flamingos, dik-diks & “Tommies”…even a distant leopard & some rhinos! But the real star of our safari was our guide, Inno. Inno is an incredible driver whom we could thoroughly trust (thank goodness!! Some of the roads are very rough and narrow with steep dropoffs!!). He is also a kind, calming presence with unbelievably sharp eyes for spotting (sometimes at super long distances!) and a passion for conservation.
Our guides in Zanzibar brought a new energy to the last leg of our trip - Alley is a real character, and his brother Omari who drove us is super sweet. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Stone Town, relaxing days on the beach in Nungwi, and very memorable sunset dhow cruise. I brought a book but honestly never cracked it open - it was just too fun and interesting to take in everything happening all around us.
It was the trip of a lifetime, and super helpful to have Herman & Team Gosheni looking after us throughout. Highly recommend.
