Knowledgeable, reliable and thoughtful.
When I contacted Tanzania Choice Safaris, Brenda -the co-owner- easily grasped my interests, ideas and concerns to set out to build a customized itinerary for me. While I went to Tanzania initially for a week-long conference, I had a few personal contacts and hopes for trips and sight-seeing afterwards. I was amazed at how expertly Tanzania Choice Safaris put together a package that organized everything into an amazing program. Brenda had taken my proposals, and together with valuable ideas from a wonderful contact she gave me, I had an itinerary that covered visiting a Masaai girls school, a hospital, a theological faculty, museums, a short trip to Dar Es Salaam, and a safari trek. It was a joy to count on Kasakii for all my local visits and tours, as well benefitting from his knowledge and upbeat attitude in my safari to Arusha National Park. From our initial email and Skype conversations with Tanzania Choice Safaris to each and every detail (large and small) of our trip -- we knew we had signed up with the very best provider out there. We were able to plan well for our safari due to the incredible information Tanzania Choice provided and due to their speedy and thorough responses to our multiple questions. This trip was a big one for us in all ways -- we've never taken 3 weeks vacation; my husband had never been to Africa; and it was the largest investment we've ever made in a trip. In all of the planning stages -- Brenda seemed to be able to anticipate our questions and quell any of our anxieties. In the midst of the trip -- the hospitality and professionalism of Tanzania Choice Safaris ensured that we had the very best experience possible. Brenda and Kakasii really listened to us and heard what was most important to us re: lodging, what we wanted to see, and how we wanted to travel (not luxurious but also not "roughing it."). I've traveled extensively in 27 different countries and worked with and seen the output of a lot of travel planners -- no one tops what I've seen Tanzania Choice Safaris do. The trip they put together exceeded our wildest dreams of what a safari could be and it's clear that they know, understand and love Tanzania. Kakasii was born to be a safari guide. His ability to drive us safely on challenging roads while also spotting all types of wildlife and telling us about local cultures, landscapes and history all at the same time was amazing. Each night we'd overhear other travelers talking about the fact that they really hadn't seen much that day or about how their guide was apathetic (at best) or rude (at the worst). Our experience was the opposite of the many disappointed travelers we talked to. We saw over 105 species of animals and we saw the "big five" easily and in multiple numbers. We wanted to tell everyone we met that for the very best travel and safari experience -- they needed to sign on with Tanzania Choice Safaris. It's clear why Tanzania Choice Safaris has earned the respect of staff at the parks, staff/management at the places we stayed and of their many satisfied travelers--they are simply the best in all categories. Home Run Hit with Tanzania Choice SafarisEverything
Every aspect of our trip was nothing short of spectacular. Kakasii, Brenda & Ezekiel were warm and welcoming. All three patiently answered our never ending questions. No effort was spared not just to meet our wildest dreams but to exceed them. Our accommodations were clean & comfortable with great showers and attractively pleasant grounds. Even the luxury tented lodges and the Masai lodges were better than great. We were able to keep our cameras and devices charged either in the vehicle or at the lodges. Everyone we met was eager to share their culture and knowledge. Unlike many tours, we were able to plan our own schedules with options to revise should the need arise.
As for the wildlife viewing and photo opportunities, I can't begin to detail how very spectacular was each experience. Each day we teased our guides as to how they were ever going to top what we experienced that day. Yet every single drive presented a new, different and somehow even greater adventure. My husband and I have made five awesome trips to Africa and numerous trips to every continent on this planet. We both agree that this trip with Tanzania Choice Safaris tops the list. That takes some doing as we've been blessed to travel to many wonderful

Absolutely amazing and life changing! Knowledgeable, prepared, and always had our interests at heart
I knew this would be an amazing trip but Tanzania Choice Safari made it a life changing experience. We started planning our trip almost 9 months in advance and were referred through an acquaintance. We had a lot of questions and Tanzania Choice was always very responsive with answers. When choosing our lodging we were given several choices to choose from. TC provided links and details to enable us to make knowledgeable choices. They gave information on what to expect and walked us through every detail. Our stay was for a 2 week period and we did many game drives in the Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Arusha National Park. Every park was beautiful however; we were very thankful for our guides as they went off the beaten path to make sure we not only saw all the animals we could and saw them from every angle. There was one day where our guide veered off the road to show us lions. We couldn't see anything and when asked what he was seeing he said he saw the 'ears' twitching in the grass. It was unbelievable the attention that was paid to our surroundings to show us as much as he could. While on the game drives you are out in the middle of nowhere, and our guide knew where he was at all times. He made us feel at ease and created a trust in us that we had nothing to fear. Bottled water was provided in abundance and was much appreciated.
I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Tanzania Choice Safaris. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be back in the near future!

An experience that has created memories that will last forever.
As first time safari travelers, we were impressed with everything about Tanzania Choice Safaris. From the initial emails with Brenda, to actually beginning our adventure in Arusha, to the final days - it was everything that we had imagined and more. Kakasii was so hospitable and knowledgeable leading us to see so many incredible animals. His passion and excitement were contagious as he shared his love of Tanzania, the beauty of nature and the majesty of the many animals - large and small. The land cruiser, cold drinks, the accommodations and the meals we shared just made for an exceptional travel experience. We were all sorry to see our adventure come to an end. Exciting, comfortable and romantic safari, full of adventure
I'm very pleased we decided to go with Tanzania Choice. All communication was timely, efficient, friendly and professional. The safari we went on with Tanzania Choice Safaris was absolutely amazing! From the first email contact with Brenda to waving goodbye to Kakasii at the airport, everything was really excellent. Our guide (and owner) Kakasii is passionate about giving his passengers the best experience possible, and it really shows. He knows so much about the animals; he knows so many people; he sincerely cares about the comfort of his passengers; he loves his country. If experiences were a meal, this one had plenty of entrees yet left me wishing for second helpings
Generally the opportunity to visit the wilds of Tanzania to see the wild life was all that I had expected. The accommodations were excellent. Staff in all locations were so attentive and went beyond the call to see to it that all needs were met.
The down side was wishing we could have spent more time in some locations to get to know the people and culture better. For example, we ended our trip with a one night visit to the Masaai Lodge. The one night stay was due to limited availability, I know. However, this was a great place with much to offer to learn more about the setting and people."Not enough" isn't really a complaint.

It was the best adventure of my life!
From beginning to end, this safari was well thought out, organized, and coordinated wonderfully. All the accommodations were excellent. The tent camps are rustic but definitely not "roughing it." The food was fantastic, healthy and beautifully prepared. Kakasii never ceased to amaze me with his genuine excitement and enthusiasm when he spotted an animal or bird he really wanted us to see. Both Brenda and Kakasii go above and beyond for their clients, and I will definitely be recommending their company to anyone who asks me for information about doing a trip like this. Tailored perfectly to meet or unique needs, even though we had 3 kids 3 and younger.
Brenda and Kakasi went above and beyond to make this a great experience with my wife, 3 kids, and father-in-law. We got to see all the animals we had hoped to, most of which we saw extraordinarily close up yet without ever feeling worried about the safety of our little ones. Kakasi clearly is extremely familiar with the unmarked roads that crisscross the Serengeti, and was awesome to spend time with. If you're looking for the best Safari company around, I'd say you found it here.
