We were delighted with the tailor made itinerary Fredrick Saturun arranged to fulfil our wishes
This was our second tour with Fredrick Saturun andM.T Expedition and we booked this one even before we had gone on our first one to Botswana. All our conversations with Fredrick made us realize that we had found a kindred spirit - he understood exactly what we wanted and he was the one to go to for unique experiences in Africa Especially In Tanzania.
When we called him up and asked him for suggestions for Dec which is the off-season for most of Africa, he suggested Uganda. Not being a huge fan of primates Uganda had never been on my list but hubby was eager to see the great apes so I agreed. I was apprehensive till the last minute especially after talking to some friends who didn't have a very good experience in Uganda a few months before our tour.
But I needn't have worried. The tour organized by Fredrick was once again top notch. He had picked some very cool destinations for us and in just 10 days we visited Serengeti to trek for Mount Kilimanjaro, and Manyara for tree climbing lions and lake natron for Flamingo big Birds. His choice of accommodation was well thought out. we got to experience the local culture and the Tanzania people which made us fall in love with that country. When we had a small issue at one of the accommodations, Fredrick was quick to care and listen us as where we felt This was our second tour with Fredrick and Moonlighttourexpedition and we booked this one even before we had gone on our first one to Botswana. All our conversations with Fredrick made us realize that we had found a kindred spirit - he understood exactly what we wanted and he was the one to go to for unique experiences in Africa especially in Tanzania.
Tanzania was supposed to be a once in a lifetime destination for us as my first love is big cats. However, thanks to Fredrick's impeccable trip planning we're now eager to go back and see the rest of the country.
We have no hesitation in recommending Fredrick and Moolighttoursexpedition (MT Expedition) to anyone. In fact, we've already planned our third tour with them and look forward to exploring Zimbabwe in Sept. .

Super 1 day trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro
We spent a wonderful 1 day trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro from Arusha, Freddy, the owner of Moonlight Tours organized our trip from Arusha, we started early in the morning from our hotel, we (a driver and a guide came with us, both very very nice and informative persons) drove to Kilimanjaro National Park (around 2,5h drive), we hiked to the first camp (Mandara hut) on the Marangu route (around 3h hike), we had a nice luch close to the rim of the Maundi Crater then we walked back to the entrance of the National Park (again around 3h walk). We arrived back to arusha around 8pm, so it was a full day program in the beautiful nature with a little taste of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Freddy is a perfect organizer, we absolutely reccomend Moonlight Tours to anyone!!!

Incredible Safari & Kilimanjaro - excellent guide
Great company for safari and Kilimanjaro, we were completely happy with the experience.Fredrick was great at helping us organize our safari and trek and was always on hand to answer any question we had before the safari. We decided to pay on arrival and Fredrick accept that likewise as we were traveling with so much cash the we handed the cash over Fredrick
The safari was marvelous ,our guide Elisante was very knowledgeable and charming.we did 7days Serengeti,Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater camping safari,Elisante made sure we so all the Big5
Likewise we did Kilimanjaro via Machame rout in a small group and Our guides Mike Tom,Osward and Haji were very experience and helped us all to get to the top, even carrying our day pack when struggling with altitude sickness to ensure we reached the summit
Eventually we had great experience with Moonlight Tours Expedition and we would recommend go with them

Great Experience,Great Guide,Great Safari Company
We did 7days Tanzania safari with Moonlight Tours Expedition everything was great,Fredy was wonderful personal as he was giving the swift response whenever we stay connected with hundred and thousand questions regarding Tanzania generally and our safari likewise we had William as our astonishing guide and driver in such he knows so many things about wildlife and nature generally we can't describe him by any phrase as our of knowledge he is smart and funny we felt happy and safe on his hand and Moonlight as well we've now back home after our long trip but still we would love to get back to Tanzania as everyone was so friend and charming...thanks Moonlight,thanks Fredy and William for such a wonderful experiences

Amazing 12 days Tanzania and Zanzibar Holiday
My sister and I went on a Safari with Moonlight Tours Expedition and they did not disappoint. I researched and chose to go on 12 days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar holiday with Moonlight Tours Expedition because of their reasonable cost and the positive reviews. I worked with Fredrick and came up with fantastic itinerary to visit famous parks – Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro plus a few Zanzibar and he added an extra park- Lake Manyara which was nice.
The Safari was very thrilling in a four wheel drive truck driven by our sweet guide Grey son. We got to see the big 5 plus many other animals. We then went to Zanzibar and Omar- the guide in stone town and spice tour is a very jovial guy.

A trip of a lifetime thanks to Moonlight!
The trip was long but comfortable from Arusha to Serengeti through Ngorongoro. It was scenic and the weather was great. The car was clean and the guide Mtina was awesome and entertaining! He went above and beyond to make sure we sure the most amazing and rare animals! Accommodation of Melia Lodge was breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this tour company!

Best trip of my life!
This trip was one that I will never forget! I do a lot of travelling and have seen many beautiful parts of the world but nothing will ever quite measure up to this safari experience. Tanzania is so incredible but the tour with Moonlight Tours Expedition is what really made the trip as amazing as it was. Our guide was so knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us so we could see everything we wanted to. We saw literally everything from adult lions, baby lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, zebras, wildebeest, and so much more. You name it - we saw it. They really went above and beyond to meet our needs from arranging our covid tests, picking up items that we discovered we needed along the way but had forgot and made sure everything was nothing less than perfect for us this entire week. I will 100% be coming back to do another tour with this company on my next trip to Africa. Highly recommend them, you won’t be disappointed :)

Extremely awesome and luxury safari experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar Beach
We recently did a 12 days Luxury Tanzania and Zanzibar safari with this operator. The folks at Moonlight Tours Expedition put together a great itinerary for us, and were flexible when we wanted to change some things. Once we started our experience, we met our safari guide Regy. Let’s just say over 12 days we got to not only experience an amazing Tanzania Safari and zanzibar beach, but Regy taught us about their culture, was full of wildlife information, and taught us some Swahili. At each lodge, he made sure we were well taken care of. We saw the big 5, and wildebeest migration, some hunts, and many cats. I attribute this to how well of a guide Regy is. He knew where to be, when to be, how to position the truck, and when or when not to move. If you’re looking to book a safari, Moonlight Tours Expedition will not let you down, and ask for Regy to be your safari guide! You’ll be in for a GREAT experience! I definitely recommended Moonlight Tours Expedition , and will definitely use them again.

A breathtaking experience in Africa
Thanks Moonlight Tours Expedition for a fabulous holiday in Tanzania and Zanzibar in August 2022. We were a family of 6 (3 adult boys!). The safari was for 7 days and 4 days in Zanzibar. The whole package was outstanding from accommodation, food and our superb guide Mtina. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, where Mtina shared his knowledge of the area, the animals and the local Masai tribes. His patience is second to none when looking for the elusive cheetah, leopard and other animals. He managed to spot a cheetah lying under a tree on our way back to camp. We were the only ones there, it was an absolutely amazing experience. The car was well maintained and kept clean with the fridge fully stocked. We were pleasantly surprised by the hot lunches which were served with wine during the game drives, completely different to other companies with their boxes of cold lunch. His skills at taking photos using binoculars was very impressive and we have some fantastic shots. Mtina was so amaizing and funny all the time, he took us to a Masai village. Here we got to visit a school and give out some goodies to all the children. As mentioned earlier, Mtina taught us a lot over the trip, and on our final drive with him to the airport, he tested us on what he had taught us, which was real fun to see whether mum, dad or the kids picked up the most across the trip. We also met Mr Fredrick the Founder of Moonlight Tours Expedition. We had to defer this trip by years in that time we were kept updated that our original booking still stood and was willing to make changes nearer the time. We would highly recommend Moonlight Tours Expedition if you are looking to do a safari. Thanks So Much Fredrick and Mtina
