From the beginning right through to the end of our trip we had the most extraordinary experience and would highly recommend booking a safari with Ndutu Green Explorers!
Tom was superb at helping organise our trip and quickly responded to any questions we had before our trip.
Our guide, Culvert, was absolutely incredible and was superb at spotting animals and getting us up close to the most spectacular animals and views! We loved every moment with Culvert and hope to be back on safari with him again one day!
Our accomodations while on safari were amazing and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and prepared delicious meals for our dinners and lunch while out in the parks.

We had the absolute honeymoon of our dreams, thanks to the incredible team at Ndutu Green Explorers, especially our travel consultant, Tom, and our guide, Gilbert.
From the start, Tom was exceptional. He worked closely with us to curate a 6-day, 5-night safari that perfectly matched our vision, departing from and returning to Zanzibar and including stops at Tarangire National Park, the Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. We asked for a mix of luxury and mid-range accommodations, and Tom delivered a beautifully balanced itinerary that exceeded our expectations.
What truly stood out was Tom’s responsiveness and patience. Despite going through 13 different safari versions, primarily due to our indecision, he remained incredibly kind, flexible, and helpful through it all. He always replied within 24 hours, often much sooner, and was consistently cheerful and collaborative. Even while we were on our trip, he regularly checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly. Meeting him in person at the airport was a lovely experience after months of planning together. He also went above and beyond by answering questions that weren’t even safari-related, like navigating taxis and currency exchange on Zanzibar.
Our guide, Gilbert, was equally phenomenal. He was knowledgeable, professional, and always seemed to have a sixth sense for where the action was. Thanks to him, we saw the Big Five, a cheetah, and countless other spectacular animals always from front-row vantage points. He created a calm, comfortable atmosphere from day one, and we truly enjoyed spending the week with him. Every morning, the truck was immaculately prepared, with bottled waters in our cup holders, snacks like cashews and Pringles in the front tray, and the mats shaken out to keep things dust-free. Lunchtime had a proper setup every day, complete with a tablecloth, drinks (including wine and beer), hot meals, and fresh fruit, all served with care.
We wholeheartedly recommend Ndutu Green Explorers to anyone looking for a customized, high-touch safari experience that not only caters to your preferences but also supports local Tanzanian communities. They made our honeymoon truly magical—and we can’t wait to return someday.

Unforgettable Safari Experience
What an experience! Tom was very helpful answering all questions I had related and non related to safari prior to arrival. Once we arrived, our guide Omar was incredible. Turned out 4-day safari go an unforgettable experience! We spotted the BIG 5! He was super patient with us and really tailored our private tour to what we were looking for. Our last day he even took a quick detour just to spot our last Lion on our way back to airport! that was incredible to see!!!! He was amazing! And our hospitality at the lodge and sero camp was great. Very clean and very friendly staff. Our lunch was very nice during each game drive compared to other tours at picnic area. We did the mid-range package and did not disappoint.

Fantastic safari tour
We had a fantastic time on our safari tour with our guide Emmanuel. He was so knowledgable about all the animals and could tell us everything about all the animals and birds we saw. We were a family of four and we all think that these four days on safari were the best time of our whole trip to Kenya and Tanzania. It was wonderful to see how Ndutu Green Explorers exceeded all their promises and we experienced through the whole safari such a high quality of accommodation, meals and game drives. We always felt safe and really well taken care of. Emmanuel always listened to our wishes and showed us genuine hospitability.
The plan that we made was really optimal: we were able to see Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Southern Serengeti in four days and experience so many wild animals on our way. The great plan was made possible with Emmanuel’s long experience as a guide and of course by Tom’s patience to meet all our questions before the trip and his creativity to build the package so that all the puzzle pieces perfectly fell into their places from the pick up from Arusha airport all the way to our transfer back to Nairobi.

This review can not go without acknowledging our Safari guide Omar. Omar, was nothing short of phenomenal. He possesses an exceptional ability to spot wildlife, even from incredible distances, which greatly enhanced our game drives. Omar’s deep knowledge of the animals and their behaviors, combined with his engaging storytelling, brought the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire to life. Whether we were observing a pride of lions or marveling at the mighty movements of elephants, Omar’s insightful explanations added depth and context to each moment. He was attentive, accommodating and an absolute humble guy that always ensured that we were comfortable and enthralled throughout our safari. Due to his expertise we can proudly say that we managed to spot the all the Big five.
The accommodations arranged by Ndutu Green Explorers were nothing short of luxurious. Each lodge and camp offered a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity, immersing us in the natural beauty of the Safari. We could hear lions and hyenas during the night close by our lodege and tent but never once felt unsafe do to the incredible attentiveness of the staff. To see Zebras and giraffes walk less than 50 meters outside the tent is something words can not describe The staff at every location were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel warmly welcomed.
They provided us with breakfast, lunch and dinner and additional snacks in between that was very well prepared and tastefull. To drink and cup of coffee in the early morning in the Serengeti with the sun rising was amazing.
Breathtaking Hot Air Balloon Ride
One of the most unforgettable experiences was the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, organized seamlessly by Ndutu Green Explorers. Floating above the vast landscapes at sunrise offered a unique perspective of the wildlife and scenery below. The beauty of this experience were truly breathtaking, and it will remain a cherished memory for years to come.

A Bucket List Trip
We spent a lot of time researching tour companies for our safari adventure, as this was a bucket list experience that we wanted to get absolutely right. We are SO happy that we chose Ndutu Green! From the very beginning, they exceeded our expectations.
Tom was incredible in helping us plan our trip. He patiently answered all our questions via email and worked tirelessly to create an itinerary that was perfect for our honeymoon. He was also more than willing to adjust the itinerary to fit within our budget, which we greatly appreciated.
The 5-day safari adventure they crafted was nothing short of amazing. It included visits to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, and one of our biggest must-sees, the wildebeest crossing at the Mara River. We were so grateful for Tom’s attention to detail and responsiveness throughout the whole process.
When we arrived, Tom and our guide Samuel picked us up from the airport, and they’d even put a honeymoon tire on the back of the jeep, which was such a thoughtful touch! They went above and beyond by surprising my husband with a birthday cake one evening—such a special and memorable gesture.
Our guide Samuel was incredibly knowledgeable. His knowledge of the animals and the parks was impressive, and he always found the best spots for us to see the wildlife up close. The highlight was the Mara River crossing—Samuel’s patience and expertise really shone through. While other tours drove around endlessly, Samuel knew exactly where to be and when. His calm approach allowed us to have a front-row view of the incredible migration crossing.
