Both Hooves and Uganda exceeded our expectations
Quick Summary of our Hooves of Africa Experience;
Communication- Was excellent and prompt, via email and whatsapp (which we appreciated)
Service- Before we had decided on what our tour would ultimately consist of we were provided many options and the pro's and con's thereof. From when we were met at the airport to when we were dropped off at the end the quality of service was top notch. Responsive to our needs at all times. Willingness to pivot and adapt.
Reliability- Every time our guide Amos set the plan for the day that is exactly what happened.
Value for money- having been on Gorilla treks before we found Hooves to be excellent value
Longer version- Dickson was very communicative, more so than other operators we have been in contact with. Amos our guide is very talented at spotting all sorts of animals. He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we encountered and the country in general. Lastly he is an excellent photographer and shared many of his shots with us.
Our trip was very much focused on Chimps and Gorilla's, we did not realize how much of a traditional safari experience (big five) can be had in Uganda.
We would happily travel with Hooves again and have already recommended them to friends.

Lorand was extremely kind, intelligent, excellent driver, and the best guide we could have asked for
My wife and I did a 4 day package that included going to see the golden monkeys and the gorillas and it was truly amazing! Dixon was the best at helping us set up all of our accommodations and activities. We were lucky enough to get Lorand as our guide for the 4 days and he was the absolute best. He was so kind and went to every length to make sure that we felt safe and comfortable every step of the way. He was very intelligent and answered every question that we had about our activities and Uganda in general. The gorilla and golden monkeys experiences were amazing! It’s something that you just have to experience and can’t really describe. I highly recommend this company and tour guide. Thanks so much for the memories!

Extremely professional company to deal with who put on a perfect Safari for us. Their choice of accommodations, range of activities, quality of vehicle (able to access areas others can't) and above all, choice of a guide who always went above and beyond to ensure we had the best trip possible, with a level of knowledge, passion and experience that meant we always seemed to be the 1st vehicle to spot and get close to more challenging to find animals, including multiple leopards, tree lions, and being up close to a Lioness making a kill and Lion escaping a buffalo attack.. Really couldn't ask for more.

Kind and well organized tour operator
Not only Dickson, ceo of Hooves of Africa Safari, but also Stuart, driver of the whole tour, they took care of me from the beginning to the end with professional manner.
My emails were replied right away and all the questions about the trip were answered quickly by Dickson.
Stuart drove the jeep as smooth as he could and guided me all the places with kind introduction.

What an incredible experience
We only had four days in Uganda and Dikson and Abia arranged everything so we could seize as much time as possible. Both of them are really kind and passionate and we could notice how much they love what they do. Our main goal was to see gorillas so they organized everything for us. We went into Bwindi Forest and did a hike to see gorillas in their natural habitat. What an incredible experience!

The best tour of our lives!
We absolutely loved our tour through Uganda and Rwanda with Hooves of Africa. Dixon communicated with us throughout the process and made the entire experience easy and organized. We loved the lodges and all the activities he recommended. The small things he did like getting us Uganda jerseys or leaving notes in the lodges really left a personal connection. We couldn’t have been happier with our tour. Stephen, our guide, was incredible. His many years of experience as a guide and ranger really helped us get the most out of this tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the areas we travelled and all our activities. We can confidently say he was the best guide we’ve ever had. He was such a pleasure to spend time with. We actually hope to meet up with him again in Uganda in the future. What a trip. Don’t wait, just book your Uganda adventure with this operator.

My colleague and I were on a business trip to Uganda and had our last day off. We wanted to see something unique in Uganda and were looking for something close to Entebbe. Dixon is a great photographer and very good company.
I spent an afternoon with Dixon at the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. I'm a birder, not a photographer, but I wanted to see how a good bird photographer works. It was interesting to talk to him about his process, and he shared a selection of his photos with me at the end of the day (including some of me birding which I really appreciated). Our communication (before, during, after) was good, he's reliable, and and he's enjoyable to talk to.
