Trustworthy.
On 20th jan 2025 I booked a 3 day safari adventure for Naivasha and Nakuru trip, it was a great experience since it exceeded all my expectations from start to finish. My guide Victor was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife, he really made the trip unforgettable.The Nakuru and Naivasha were absolutely breathtaking. The 5 star accommodation were luxurious but still in harmony with the nuture and the food was delicious too. The booking process was smooth since I could booked it locally through the phone. Price was so pocket friendly which was greatly appreciated and if you're looking for a genuine well-organized safari experience I highly recommend Tellena tours and safaris.

A very professional and time conscious host
On my holidays, i took my mom, my dad and my two siblings to the Maasai Mara.
Mercy was such a gracious agent who was great in commination and gave us a nice quote for our 3 day stay in Masai Mara. It was the greatest adventure, although we were expecting to see the big 5 we didn't get to see all the big 5 and other animals. Otherwise We recommend Tellena Safaris to whoever who wants to book with them.

Company is female owned and operated but subcontracts driver/guides. Good budget safari. Our guide Steve really made the trip for us, allowing us to customize on the fly. If you are doing a private tour, I highly recommend including a full day at BOTH Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. As long as a GUARANTEED view of Kilimanjaro ( and it’s never guaranteed) is not on your list, one full day at Amboseli is enough. We arrived late in the day and tried to do a game drive starting at like 3 or 4. We didn’t see much on that drive but hot dust and the animals must have felt the same way because we didn’t see many. Would have been better to spend longer at Lake Naivasha then arrive Amboseli in evening for late dinner, skipping that first drive. Getting up early the next day, we were richly rewarded with views of Kilimanjaro and wildlife galore (although still super dusty). Amboseli was last on our itinerary and the drive from there to Nairobi airport was long but easy. Be prepared for a lot of red tape checkpoints at airport on departure. Finally I would say double check your safari contract before making final payment as things we thought were initially included (like drinks, other than water) were not. The operator was good about absorbing some price increases that occurred after we made final payment although we were quite surprised that this final payment was expected to be in cash not credit card. We negotiated the use of a credit card if we paid the extra card processing fee. It was just a surprise we were not expecting as were in transit as part of a multi national tour.

Their friendliness,and organisation of our itinerary, made our holiday so enjoyable. Our driver, Milton, was so knowledgeable and going on safari with him was a pleasure.
The accomodation was top quality.
I would recommend doing as many extra activities as possible. Visit the Giraffe Centre, National Museum and Elephant orphanage in Nairobi, take the sunrise balloon ride at the Masai Mara, do a night safari and go snorkelling at Wasani reef.

Amazing Guides and Seamless Logistics
Tellena is fantastic. We booked our 10 day safari + beach resort a bit late. They were able to accommodate us withour an issue. We also had dietary restrictions which they were considerate of, ensuring each camp or hotel we visited were aware of them.
We had Kelvin and Daniel as guides. They were experts in finding animals and telling us about them as well as the areas we visited. The vehicles we rode in were Land Cruisers with roofs that opened so we could see out of them. Each vehicle fit up to 8 passengers, so we got to meet some other people from all over the world.
Transportation was always handled, whether it was by our safari guide, hired driver, or first class train ticket. They were very responsive on WhatsApp as well.
I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time and had an incredible time!

Experienced driver/ guide, good tour!
We have 6 people in 1 Land Cruiser, first time visit Kenya and join Tellena Safaris and tour, Boscos is a very experienced guide who take us to catch a lot of good pictures, we were so excited about the good pictures of the big five.

A small company but very trustworthy
Victor and Mercy are very trustworthy person, they respond everything I asked very promptly.
This trip is my personal trip, but now I want to organize the tours from Taiwan to have business with Tellena, because they provide fair price.

Excellent Experience, Safe, Exciting & Luxurious
Absolutely incredible experience traveling through Kenya with Tellena Tours, I have traveled over 30 countries and this might be the best trip of my life. Be prepared that Kenya is a massive country so there is a lot of travel and a lot of time in Land Cruisers. I would highly recommend traveling by air into Masai Mara and into Mombasa to have a more relaxing experience with more time in the parks and at the lodges which are extremely comfortable with AMAZING SERVICE. I didn’t lack or want for anything and any of the largest that Tellena had booked for me. The food was amazing with each lodge, providing abundant buffets with western and eastern cuisine as well as delicious cocktails. I would also recommend doing a half-day safari in Amboseli, as it is very small and very dusty and you will encounter most animals early in the day before the heat climbs. The guides and hotels provide plenty of bottled water so don’t worry about that. Lots of opportunities to buy souvenirs and artisanal things throughout, so don’t jump at the first opportunity. The company was very responsive throughout the entire trip with even my drivers texting me after the trip to ensure I arrived to my next destination safely. KENYAN PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!! They all speak great English and provide service on par with Bali and better than most countries. Thank you all so much. I will definitely be returning and recommending highly to my friends and family all over the world.

Wish I could have stayed longer
Tellena Tours organised me a fantastic 9 night holiday visiting Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara in Kenya, the Serengeti in Tanzania and then 3 nights in Zanzibar. This was a dedicated 1 person trip which included all transfers (excl int flights). Price was very competitive. Victor and Mercy were very helpful and quick to respond throughout the entire process from modifying the quote to picking me up in Kenya at the end. The Sopa lodges in Kenya were lovely. My guides were great. I saw 8/9 of 'the big 9'. I'm very pleased to recommend Tellena Tours.
