My Kenyan Safari
5/5

My fiancée and I have just finished our Kenya safari with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. This company is just superb and very organized, they helped to tailor make a 6 day safari for us through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. The safari was private and we were only two of us in a 4 by 4 landcruizer. We had the chance to see the big five and very many other animals as well as the birds by the help of their ever happy guide (they have professional staff), the accommodation options they made for us were more than our expectations and the magnificent sunset in the lodges brought out the romantic theme as we wished. Thumbs up to you guys you made the safari so sweet and memorable. We intend to come back in December to visit Mombasa and other places we missed. Kudos.

Individual Safari of a Lifetime!
5/5

Kikwetu Cultural Adventures put an individual safari together for me in less than a week, ensured I got to experience every important national reserve that makes Kenya special, and paced my time over 13 days at each reserve perfectly. The accommodations (lodgings, food, etc.) were safe, comfortable, friendly, and met whatever I needed. Each reserve had something different and unique to remember it by, and had both exciting thrills and time to relax and appreciate the moment. Both Kenneth, my main contact responsible for this whole safari, and Charles, my driver and guide, were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, attentive, professional, and fun to interact with -- they made my whole trip to Kenya worth wanting to come back and do all over again!

Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara safari
5/5

My family and I had a wonderful time in Kenya thanks to Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. We read positive reviews about Kikwetu on Safaribookings.com and contacted them along with a few other Safari tour companies. We were most impressed by Kikwetu, whose consultant Kenneth was by the far the most professional and accommodating. His communications were always clear and timely. Through Kenneth we organised a tour taking in Samburu NP, Nakuru NP and the Masai Mara. Our safari guide Chris was amazing. He was passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife and always patient and good humoured. Thanks to Chris and Kenneth we saw everything we wanted to see, including: leopards at every national park (a pair mating in the Mara), countless lions, white and black rhino, elephants, Reticulated and Rothschild giraffe, buffalo, cheetah (including the 5 cheetah brothers), hyena, gerenuk, oryx, eland, crocodiles, vultures, impala, jackals and thousands of wildebeest and zebra. The lodges were great and the people lovely. We had a unforgettable holiday thanks to Kenneth and Chris. We could not recommend Kikwetu more highly.

Kenya Safari
5/5

Kenneth Benson from Kikwetu Cultural Adventures kindly organised a Kenya safari experience for us during our 6 Day stay in Kenya.
We travelled to Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Navaisha and Masai Mara.
We were clients with many questions and demands and Kenneth was extremely patience, compromising and most of all attentive to our needs. Kenneth responded to queries very clearly and quickly, both via email and telephone. Kenneth kindly created a tailor made itinerary for our safari experience and met our budget needs, whilst ensuring we got the best safari experience and saw as much of Kenya and the wildlife during our trip. Kikwetu Cultural Adventures kindly organised a private safari with our very own driver, Peter, during our entire stay. This made our experience extremely enjoyable as we were able to build a good relationship with Peter, as well as make small adjustments to the safari each day. Peter was extremely knowledgeable of the animals and provided an amazing insight to the Kenyan wildlife.
I would highly recommend Kikwetu Cultural Adventures to anyone wanting to experience an authentic, colourful African safari adventure.
Thank you Kenneth and Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for allowing us to create unforgettable memories in Kenya.

The Ultimate 80 Day African Safari of a Life Time Made Possible by Kikwetu
5/5

At the age of 70, I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and visit different countries in Africa. From the beginning it was clear to me that I wanted an African tour operator and through client reviews I came upon Kikwetu Cultural Adventures and Ken. It was the best that could have happened to me.
During the long period of planning, since the places I wanted to go and the things I wanted to do kept increasing while I was reading about the continent, Ken's response vía e-mail to my multiple questions and doubts was constant, immediate and always helpful in orientation. Finally, I ended up with a 80 day private Safari in Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, North Sudan and Ethiopia. Ken has the itinerary (if someone is interested), since he arranged for everything. For me, there is only left to say, it was absolutely perfect: Not one single thing that went wrong during the 80 days, excellent logistics, warm, detailed personalized attention throughout, more than fair cost/benefit relation, but above all, an outstanding, caring, knowledgeable team of guides and drivers who turned into dear friends. Thank you Ken, thank you Livingstone with the memory of an elephant and the eyes of an eagle (!), thank you Agustin in Uganda for always proving my much loved dried bananas and encouraging me on that memorable gorilla trekking in Bwindi, thanks to Mr. Achmed and his team for making it possible to visit the most incredible sites in Sudan, thank you Birhanu for providing exactly what I needed when I came back totally wiped out from Erta Ale and thank you, Alex, for making me laugh, getting me on and off the camel and for the many other funny occasions we shared on our safari!
If I could, I would do it all over again and I would not want to miss one single day of an unforgettable experience!
¡Thank you all!

Outstanding Safari Adventure
5/5

We started booking our trip a year in advance, and we couldn’t have anything better than the itinerary that Kenneth arranged. Words cannot explain how amazing Livingston was to us, ensuring that we didn’t leave Masai Mara without seeing the Rhino, even though it caused him stress. We saw the big five and a cheetah kill, which was great.
Thank you Kenneth and Livingston for making this an unforgettable trip.

Unexpectedly wonderful experience
5/5

The 7 day Kenyan tour we went for was lovely.
Everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end. Our accommodation was unexpectedly lovely. Everything from the food to the rooms was wonderful.
Our guide Chris is a really charming guy and loves cracking jokes to make the long rides less painful!
He tried his best to find us animals on the game drives and the best positions to take pictures!

The flavour of Kenya: Beyond Expectations !
5/5

Mysteriously, Kenneth contacted us when we were pondering to find a reliable agency to organize our first safari to Kenya! My wife, daughter and her family and I have just returned from a dream safari covering Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboselli. We had a great time from pick up at Nairobi and back. The safari, the service and the knowledge of the guide (Alfred), the viewing of the animals , birds and flora was excellent, as well as the lodges and food at each of the places. We now have a feast of memories, photographs and videos which will last us a lifetime. I am happy that all of us, particularly our grand children in their impressionable age have had this experience of nature on a grand and unbelievable scale. Maybe we may do it again!

a fantastic trip! many thanks to Kikwetu team.
5/5

This was my first trip to a safari after years of travelling to many other parts of the world. We usually try to make our own travel arrangements but knowing this option would be quite difficult for Kenya, we contacted several tour agencies including Kikwetu. We decided to go with Kikwetu for two reasons: the very good reviews we read on Tripadvisors and the prompt responses with many details from Kenneth, Kikwetu's tour advisor. We were elated to find out that Kikwetu really lived up to the reputation from the reviews we read. Peter, our driver, was great. He was knowledgeable of the safaris and a very safe driver. He knew what we wanted to see and always looked out for our best interests. He really took good care of us and we felt very lucky to have him as our driver/guide. As the results, we had a fantastic experience at Amboseli and Maasai Mara. We did not see all big fives (rhino and leopard) but we saw many other animals and took many many great photos. This was an experience that we will not forget. We highly recommend Kikwetu as tour guide for visiting Kenya!
