The Machame Route, also known as the “Whiskey Route,” is one of the most popular ways to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Covering about 62 kilometers over seven days, it leads you through a remarkable range of landscapes, from rich rainforest to high altitude glaciers, with wide views of Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau along the way. Its gradual acclimatisation profile gives climbers a very stronger chance of reaching the top compared with many other routes.
