This is a day trip to Mikumi National Park by flight. Mikumi is Tanzania’s seventh-largest national park. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time. Mikumi National Park was established in 1964, covering an area of 1070 square kilometres. It was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometres. Mikumi is located on the North side of the famous Selous Game Reserve (now Nyerere National Park).
