The Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a sumptuous forested reserve, a rare tropical forest that is home to a realm of unique plants, birds and animals & the sacred preserve of hikers and walkers. Mikumi inhabits over 300 species of birds namely saddle bill stork, hammer kop, malachite kingfisher, lilac breasted roller, yellow throated long claw, battler eagle etc.
