Amboseli National Park is the second most popular park in Kenya, on the border with the neighbouring country of Tanzania. It is at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing Mountain in the world. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Masai word meaning "salty dust", it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats ranging, dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah and woodlands.
