Overview Day by Day Rates Inclusions Getting There Offered By

The Machame route up Kilimanjaro is quieter compared to Marangu and involves a more gradual ascent than the Umbwe Route. Often referred to as the “Whiskey Route,” this path is strenuous but offers scenic beauty along a longer and gentler trail than Umbwe or Marangu. Our itinerary includes shorter walking days during the trek to facilitate acclimatization. The standard trek duration is six days, although an extra day at Shira or the Karanga Valley is recommended to help you acclimatize.
