Habituation is the process by which primates such as Gorillas, chimpanzees and Golden monkey are acclimatized to the presence of humans so that they can be flagged safe for daily tracking activities. The activity is conducted by rangers, doctors and researchers. Tourists have an opportunity to accompany them on habituation activities. The advantage here is that tourists get to spend between 3 - 5 hours with the primates compared to only 1 hour during tracking.
