Samburu Game Reserve is situated in Northern Kenya along the banks of Ewaso Ngiro River. It is known for the "Special Five" mammals which include the Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich and the Grevy Zebra. Samburu is one of the few locations in Kenya to spot a Leopard. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction and birdlife is abundant with over 450 recorded species.
