From diamond mining back to nature in Tsau //Khaeb National Park
Overall rating
2/5

This area used to be part of an area set aside for diamond mining and has only been declared a National Park in 2009. Although it is a very important biodiversity hotspot with many endemic plants, there is no real infrastructure yet and only a very limited road network. You can make a day visit from Luderitz. I wasn’t hugely impressed with what I could see on my short visit, but I’m sure visiting will become more worthwhile when the park gets more developed. You should also note that, like in any desert area, a lot of the plant life, which is one of the main attractions here, only comes alive after the rains.
