All aspects of the four days were great. We were concerned about the 5-6 hour drive from JNB. They stopped 2-3 times at major service stations with name brand eating facilities. Guides were tops and very accommodating. Saw all big 5 many times and leopards all 3 tour days. Costs were very reasonable and Hippo Hollow hotel was excellence. Highly recommend. As a couple of 2 we booked a 4-day Kruger Park tour. We were picked up at JNB Airport, transfered to a lodge nearby and the next day transferred to the lodge next to the Kruger Park entry. After noon we were picked up by Charles (CD Tours) and were driven by him through the Park the next three days (2 day exclusively, one day with two other couples from SA). We loved his experience, driving style, ... Read more "Feeling" for the places where something was to see (he was always very well informed about sights of beasts by other tour Operators). On the last day the trasfer back to the Airport was well organised (whenever the driving style of this Driver was not comfortable).
The tours were not at all what we were offered (tours early in the morning, evening tours), however due to the nice and experienced treatment of Charles we were more than happy.

We travelled on a trip organised by Mike to the Kruger National Park, including a stay at a private game lodge and the wonderful Sabie River Bush Lodge. We traveled as a family. It was amazing a holiday i won't forget. And largely thanks to Mike! His recommendations were excellent, and the itinerary was a great mix of adventure, animals, nature just what my family loves. I do not recomend it to anyone. Problem is not in the camp. The probvlem comes, what you contract and what you find there. Mike send me Shiduli Lodge picture, but later spoke about Chisomo River Lodge, and my Family and me finalized in Chisomo Camp.
They are using Kuruger name!!?? I do not know why?? Kruger Park is something Fantastic; but this is an open zoo only.
It is most unfortunate to receive a review like this as the client has not been in touch with us to complain. However that said I would like to try explain our side of the story.
The client came to see me at our offices and it was considered a last minute booking as he wanted to travel on the 27 December 2015 and he gave me only a few weeks to arrange the entire trip including flights. December i... Read mores peak season and there was no availability inside the Kruger Park.
Initially the client sent an enquiry for a tented lodge and I then managed to secure a safari for him at Chisomo Lodge which forms part of the same reserve as Shiduli Game Lodge. The safari included a private pick up for him in Pretoria as well as a drop off at the Hoedspruit airport on the last day including flights back to Johannesburg.
Chisomo is certainly not in the Kruger Park and I never claimed it to be, as it is a Private Reserve near Hoedspruit. I did send the client information regarding the trip and he was aware that the booking was at Chisomo.
It is with regret that the safari did not live up to the family's expatiations and I apologise for any miss communication or miss conception the client had regarding the trip.
The lesson learnt for me is to make sure the clients understands exactly what they are getting when they book and pay for a trip.
