Had a wonderful experience with Khalifa
We had an excellent 5-day safari experience with Axis Africa Safaris in October 2021. We were a group of 8, and were particular about the itinerary and the type of safari van. Lennox, the company representative, was very accommodating and helpful with customizing our trip and answeing all our question on the spot. Our guide/driver, Khalifa, was very knowledgeable with >10 years of experience. He went above and beyond to make sure that we see the big 5, along with the ugly 5 and other animals in Masaai Mara. It was amazing how well he knew the big cats, each lion pride's names and their characteristics. He also gave us lots of helpful info about local people; different tribes, their languages, and history as we passed different cities on our way between national parks.
I strongly recommend Khalifa and Axis Africa Safaris.

I highly recommend Axis Africa. First Lenox was really amazing at organizing everything for us . He also delivered everything he promised. When we arrived there our flight was delayed three hours and our guide Joshua was there waiting for us with a smile . He was very kind to us and to the children. We were lucky to have such a knowledgeable and kind guide . Our car was very comfortable and we could even charge our phones. The camp site was also clean and comfortable and the food was decent. Our overall experience was excellent.

We had an awesome trip from Nairobi to the coast. Driver Douglas was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a comfortable journey wit 3 elder gentlemen. All was well arranged and communication was flawless.

To start , I didnt really believe safaribooking.com as i think there are a lot of scammers when i compared with reviews on TripAdvisor. Therefore I spend significant time researching before i chose Axis Africa and I'm so happy I did.

Driver: Robert was an amazing professional and very knowledgeable driver. He took us on less touristic routes where we could get much closer to animal. Great work !
Car : most of the cars we saw were very similar if not the same.
Accommodation : we went for budget safari , just heads up ..its really budget so be prepare . If you need more luxury stay i believe they can arrange for you. (I'm not evaluating this as it is not tour operator responsibility)
Safari : Just amazing, from Tsavo East and Serengeti and Ngorongoro , the one we did with Robert (Maasai Mara) was an absolute top with a lot of animal sighting and close encounters.
I wish Axis Africa a lot of happy customers they absolutely deserve it. Choose this you wont be sorry ;)

It was memorable
It was amazing looking for wild animals in their habitat.
Our tour leader was very experienced to find animals that were difficult to be found. His responsibility to found all big five animals was laudable.
I strongly recommend you to experience this memorable journey.
Perfect operator
Our safari including masai mara, nakuro and naivasha done perfectly by this operator and their experienced tour guide and driver, Khalifa, who showed us big 5 and a lot of amazing wildelife objects. He had well knoeledge about nature and culture of kenya and explain interesting facts about masai people , wildelife and nature.
Trip of a lifetime
Had such a wonderful experience with our guide Jack. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. He worked very hard to ensure we were comfortable and to see every animal we dreamed of encountering and then some. The vehicle was large and comfortable. Driving in Kenya is hectic at best but I felt as comfortable as I feel I possibly could with Jack driving. Everyone drives crazy aggressive so it’s just some ... Read morething you need to be ready for. I would highly recommend using Axis if you are considering. Lennox also showed great responsiveness which was greatly appreciated. One night we left an iPhone in the truck and Lennox helped us track down Jack who brought it all the way back to our hotel.
I can’t imagine how our trip could have gone any smoother with Axis.

AMAZING
WOW. Where do I even start?! I almost don’t have the words to adequately describe how truly amazing our trip with Axis Safaris was. But I’m sure going to try because 1) We had the absolute trip of a lifetime and we can’t thank Axis enough! And 2) I want to encourage others to make their travel plans happen!
1. First of all, Lennox was wonderful from start to finish. Every detail of our t ... Read morerip was perfectly organized, and communication was fast. We were also celebrating my husband’s birthday while on our trip and Lennox made sure to organize extra details to make his day even more special and memorable.
International travel is stressful enough, but then you add COVID headaches and it’s even more so. But Axis made everything so easy and comfortable for us, alleviated all of our travel concerns, and made sure we had a safe and beautiful adventure!
2. Now for Jack. Our AMAZING safari guide!!! Holy cow Jack was incredible. Not only did he come with a wealth of knowledge about plants and animals (in 4 languages!!), but he grew up in the Masai community and had so much to share with us about the culture and neighboring areas. He was incredibly kind, patient, and easy going, and went the extra mile (literally and figuratively) to make sure we had an amazing, action packaged trip.
We not only saw the Big 5 multiple times (sometimes, all on the same day!), but my husband and I also started making “little 5” lists of other animals we wanted to see, and as soon as we’d make them, Jack would check them off!! We were often the first or only safari truck near animal sightings, and at the end of the day when we would chat with other people at the lodge, they were often surprised and jealous of our sightings. Other guides (and park rangers) clearly knew and respected Jack and were often asking him for insight. Jack let us take the time we wanted with each animal, answered all our questions, and felt like traveling with a friend.
Overall, we had an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime trip and can’t recommend Axis or Jack enough. Book now. You won’t regret it!!!
Outstanding, friendly & Tailor made, yet affordable adventure
I would absolutely and highly recommend Axis Safari to everyone, and I honestly can't thank them enough for the wonderful time my family had in Kenya.
Lennox was a professional and very friendly. He answered all my questions and helped us decide on a trip itinerary that suits my family needs. He would answer my whatsapp messages on time, despite the time difference. Without his help and guidance ... Read more, I wouldn't have been able to organise this trip by my self. Even though the trip was on a low budget, I was given options to upgrade and choose the hotels, which made the trip a 'tailor made' happy adventure.
We went to Masai Mara and Naivasha (the lake and Hell's Gate). and everything was well organised.
Our wonderful guide, Mr Joshua, was an encyclopedia. He was very knowledgeable and knew very interesting facts about almost everything. He was able to answer all our questions, and he managed to get us very close to a pride of lions eating a fresh kill, which was the highlight of our game drive. Joshua was very kind with my kids and was always listening to their questions and trying his best to meet their needs. We were very impressed!
The visit to the Masai Village was a memorable cultural experience, which we will never forget!
The scenery and the walk (more of a hiking, really) was an amazing family day trip at Hell's gate. The boat trip in Naivasha lake was a welcoming change after spending the previous days in the game drive. It was fascinated to see the hippos up close.
