We did a 2-day private tour to Masai Mara and it was an amazing experience! Our driver guide Simon took us to see many animals including lions and cheetahs which some people at the camp didn’t see on the same day they visited Masai Mara.
We spent the night at Lenchada Tourist Camp where we had halal dinner and breakfast as requested. I would recommend Axis Africa Safaris for your safari adventu ... Read morere in Kenya!

My girlfriend and I did safari in the Kruger park, South Africa, on our own with a rental car. We saw a lot of animals, no cats or rhinos, so we decided to do the private safari in Kenya - Masai Mara, the people of South Africa told us that the safari in Kenya was better than there in South Africa. We decided to hire Axis for a 2 day safari and we are very happy and grateful for the experience the ... Read morey gave us. The company reserved our safari simply with a whastapp message with our data, without any previous payment and they complied with everything they told us. The guide that touched us, Raheem, fulfilled above our expectations and demands (since we told him that we had seen everything but felines in the Kruger). Always friendly and predisposed to get into recondite places so we can see the animals, making the excursion an authentic safari. We are very grateful and we recommend 100% to Axis and Raheem!

Trip of a life time

My mom and I went on safari for 7 days in Dec. She had chemo in Nov and this was her get out and celebrate trip of a life time. Our guide Kikitu (Evens) was great! We were lucky to have him for our entire trip. Most tourists seemed to have been pasted between drivers depending on where they were going. Everyone was always nice about it though.

It rained the night before we went to Masai Mara a ... Read morend the roads were a bit ruff to say the least! Evens was the one that had pulled out all the other drivers that would get stuck in the mud, but never got stuck himself.

Christmas Eve, late in the afternoon, we arrived at Amboseli park. I forgot the name of the camp... anyways they had lost our reservations for the first night. Evens made some calls and we were put up in a tent for the night. The tent had holes all over and some kind of creature in the bathroom scratching the tent to get in. The second night we were moved and upgraded to a cabin/tent hybrid.

We saw every animal we could think of and then some thanks to Evens. He seemed to know every driver in Kenya and able to find the best places. We would go back again if it didn't take two days to get to Kenya.

I definitely recommend this amazing experience with Axis Africa Safaris. Our guide (Martin) was excellent and the trip on the Masai Mara was unforgettable.

I traveled to Nairobi for work in late November 2018 and wanted to spend the weekend seeing a bit more of the country. As a solo female traveler, I was a bit anxious about choosing the right trip but could not have been happier with my expe ... Read morerience with Axis Safaris on the 3-days, 2-nights group joining tour I did on the Masai Mara.

I am a vegetarian and Axis did a great job of making sure there were options available for me to eat throughout the trip. Our guide (Martin) was amazing-- he knew a lot about the animals and environment and was a great driver. On our return trip to Nairobi, he circumvented an incredible traffic jam by going on back roads that might have delayed us for hours otherwise. This was great news for me because my plane departed at 8:30PM the day we arrived. I felt that there was enough time to wake up, tour the Masai village and get on the road while still making it to the airport with a few hours to spare before my flight.

Overall-- highly recommend for a great experience.

Our tour was amazing. Our guide, Kikitu, was very eager to make sure we saw as many of the animals as possible (we ended up seeing all of the big 5!!!). It was a wonderful experience.

I went to Kenya for a very first time with a friend from Thailand. Safari Contractor : Lennox , Driver : Issac

We took a full 6-day program from Maasai Mara, Naivasha, Nakuru along the way westward to Amboseli National Park. Our driver is a big guy Issac with huge heart, his sight of animal is somehow second to none. even we couldn't see any Leopard as an one missing Big 5 but we fortunately w ... Read moreitnessed Lion family eating Zebra (with group of Zebra staring behind). This was beyond my expectation in a first safari trip of mine.

Being a sport photographer at home, I do enjoy spending time capture wildlife shots in these National Park. Chance of seeing zenith of Kilimanjaro in October is very little, only 5 mins of whole noon we can see it. Our driver was patient enough to stop and wait us taking thousand shots of birds, antelopes, big 4 (except Leopand) and landscape scene so far. Don't forget to get your gears well here in Kenyan Safari. You won't be regret to keep them being with you, especially a long telephoto lens with fast camera. Many shots you only have just one chance so don't miss it.

One of accommodation : Kimana campsite next to the Amboseli NP is what they should improve.
Rooms: pretty dilapidated. Cabins are worn down, mosquito nets that are ripped and don't fit, very poor electrical work, no hot water (if any water) in many tents. Toilets needed maintenance (flushes weren't really working). Shower have leaking water though bedroom.

The plus points are you can see the whole Kilimanjaro with naked eyes, and the offered not that bad food ,basic (if you are a flexible person with well-traveled)

Overall we were pretty satisfied and fulfilled, pretty recommend to those seeking a budget safari trip.

The trip was exactly as described. The communication before the safari was quick and clear. The driver/guide - Kikitu - was just amazing, a lot of fun, very knowledgeable, and a skilled driver. He told us a lot of interesting stories about the animals, the Masai people, and Kenya.
Highly recommended!
