It was an excellent experience. We got to see all of the big 5 up close.
Really good value for money. Our guide Raheem was great - very friendly, helped us see all the animals we could want to within the first 24 hours. He would always go out of his way for us for any request we had.
Organisation of the tour was great too. Always quick to get back to us even when we needed to change our plans to fit everything in.
Only thing is for two vegans travelling, breakfas ... Read moret and lunch options were very limited. So advice to others would be to bring some non-dairy milk and cereal/granola for breakfasts and extra supplies for lunches before departing as there are no shops once out on safari.
Highly recommend Axis Safaris and Raheem to anyone looking to go on safari!
Our trip with Axis was incredible from start to finish! The whole experience ran smoothly from start to finish & surpassed our expectations! Our guide James was very accommodating & did everything to make our experience as good as possible. He was so informative & we learnt so much from him about the Maasai Mara & all the animals!

I would highly recommend Axis to anyone looking to go on a safari, they are a great company & we have nothing to fault them on as everything was amazing!
The safari tour was amazing and it wouldn’t t have been able to go ahead without our amazing tour guide Joshua. He was so informative and full of knowledge and a pleasure to be with for the 4 days. I highly recommend it to everybody.
We had the most enjoyable, fun experience. Never a dull moment. We got to see all the super 7 animals at the masai mara. All of the guys were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!!
We had Jack for out safari trip, he is a wealth of knowledge when it’s comes to the animals and history of the area. He is very accommodating and went above and beyond for us. If you are going on one of these tours I would highly advise to get Jack.
Absolutely amazing experience!! Got to see so much wildlife and visit the local village. Would highly recommend using Axis Africa Safari for your tours in Kenya, will be back :)
My wife and I did an 8 day safari, starting in Nairobi, visiting Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, and Tsavo West and ending at Diani Beach. It was incredible and somewhat surreal experience. Having loved nature shows since I was a kid it almost didn't feel real that I was seeing all the wildlife, in the wild, in person. Our guide Khalifa was great, he was very knowledgeable and skilled at findi ... Read moreng and spotting animals. The food and accommodations (in tented camps for the whole trip) were excellent.
We stayed at Enkorok camp for Maasai Mara, Flamingo tented camp for Lake Nakuru, Kibo Camp at Amboseli, and Voyager Ziwani Camp for Tsavo, all of which were great. Ziwani Camp in particular was memorable as it was on a river with crocodiles and hippos and you could watch the hippos as you eat and find crocodiles sunning themselves around the camp.
I had been debating with myself whether we should being trying to visit so many places in the short time we had or to stay longer at fewer parks but I'm really glad we did the trip we did. Not only was it great to see all the parks but I also really enjoyed the drive though the towns and countryside between the parks.
The price is fair for the amount of activities developed. The attention from the reservation, the guide and the lodging. All the planning is wonderful.
Booking with axis safari was so smooth, as I was in continuous contact with Lennox via email prior to the trip. You can pay in USD cash when you arrive, which we did, and only gave a small deposit up front.
Axis picked us up on time from our hotel in Nairobi and dropped us back there at the end of the 5-day trip, which was ideal as we were exhausted!

The accommodation varied from camping in the Maasai village (posh camping with 4-poster beds) to budget hotels with swimming pools and nice restaurants. It felt great to be supporting the locals throughout the trip, and I really felt that the money we paid was going to people that needed it most.
Value for money was excellent, with all meals included (definitely got enough food!). Whilst there is lots of travelling, this is a fantastic way to see rural Kenya.
We had a fantastic time and will definitely be recommending to both family and friends!
