Wonderful experience
We've just returned home from a wonderful five-day safari. From Lake Naivasha, to Lake Nakuru, to the Masai Mara; it all just kept getting better. The landscape of the Masai Mara is just magnificent and we've seen such an abundance of wildlife (crossing the big 5 of our lists in just a few hours - and many other interesting animals besides). Read more used his network of other drivers to advantage in finding us Leopards and Cheetahs, and who was not hesitant in going off the beaten track to do so, or in bringing us closer to some lionesses who were eating their kill, or an Elephant matriarch with her week-old baby..
We are testament that a safari is a wonderful experience for young and old, seeing that our group of 4 included a 7-year old and a 75-year old.
Each of the lodges we stayed at was different, all were great; with good food, comfortable beds and friendly staff.
Thank you Julius, and thank you Axis Africa, for the excellent safari, which I'll be sure to recommend to friends and family.

This was already the third time we booked a Safari with Axis, and as always, everything was at or above expectations. Our driver and guide this time was Kevin, who added an extra pinch of salt to the experience and adventure by not shying away from going difficult places to get the best views of animals. Rest assured, our fourth time will also be with Axis. Yours should be, too!
Amazing trip made even better by Khalifa
Khalifa’s knowledge and expertise ensured our trip was the best. He catered to all our needs, helped alter our schedule to ensure we could fit everything in and was there to help us throughout. We just finished the 5-day Safari tour, Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. Me and my girlfriend had a great time with our group and the perfect help of our guide James. We saw the big 5 and a lot of other animals. James knew exactly where we should go to, to see the animals. If we would book again in the future I will ask for James again. Thank you, Dennis.
Made our safari experience memorable
We had one of the most memorable experiences of our life. Thanks to James who is an excellent guide and driver. He provided us with valuable information on the different animals and birds in Maasai Mara. He went over and beyond to ensure we saw the big 4 and was patient with all our queries and asks.Thank you James for being so fun and spreading so much energy.
Magical and adventurous safari
We booked a three day safari, and this was really good value for the money!
During this period we basically were able to see all the animals we hoped for.
Credit goes to our star driver James. He was the king of the savannah, making sure we got the best possible experience with all the animals - even several close-ups with cheetahs, lions and a leopard.

We chose Axis Africa as it was recommended from another group of friends. I was in contact with Lennox who was organising our trip. The safari itself was incredible and our driver Khalifa made it more special. He shared loads of information about the animals we were seeing and always had a funny anecdote to share which kept everything so interesting! Unfortunately, Lennox scheduled and charged us ... Read morefor a day of activities that we were unable to complete as he didn't allow for transfer time to the airport that day which was a bit disappointing. He didn't have any way to compensate for this and my last two emails to Lennox have been left unanswered.

Regarding the refund, as i tried to explain to you via our email conversation, you were on a 3 days 2nights itinerary and its unfortunate that your flight back home on the 3rd day was coming up at around 2pm which based on experience it wou... Read moreld have been so risky to do activities of Day 3 in masai mara and still drive back to Nairobi to catch your flight(keeping in mind you need to be at the airport 2-3hrs in advance), in consultation with guide Khalifa we squeezed the activities of day 3 to have you do them on Day 1 on arrival, according to initial plan day 3 was to be a visit to Masai Village, and you did this on Day1 after the evening game-drive. This therefore meant that we freed Day3 for traveling back, we highly apologize for overlooking the fact that you were not aware that Masai mara is some 5-6hrs drive away from Nairobi, and for squeezing the itinerary with the thought that we were creating a risk free travel back to Nairobi airport.
Regarding compensation we thought that since we managed to do all the activities as planned, we had nothing to spare to do a compensation,however we still offered free transportation to Giraffe Center, before heading to drop you at the airport, this was a detour and was not part of the tour plan, it unfortunate this was not a good enough compensation plan.
We highly apologize for this, and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us, and we're sorry to hear that your visit didn't meet your expectations.
