We had the most incredible 8 days on safari and it was an experience we will truly never forget.
First, a huge thank you to Rita, who helped organise everything so seamlessly. From the very beginning she was helpful, patient, and made the whole process smooth and easy. We asked for lodges where we could enjoy views of wildlife right from where we stayed, and she absolutely delivered. Even when ... Read morewe changed our minds a few times (including last minute). She remained so accommodating and always provided great customer service. Most importantly, she paired us with the most amazing safari guide who was the true highlight of our trip.
That brings me to Amos, our safari guide, who we cannot thank enough. From the very first day we felt comfortable with him, like we could ask or talk about absolutely anything. He was not only a safe and reliable driver, but he also went above and beyond to personalise our trip. He even picked up on our love for coffee and would stop at the best little coffee spots on our long drives!
Spending a whole week together could have felt long, but instead the days flew by because of the endless laughter, stories, and conversations we shared. Amos taught us so much about Kenyan culture, history, and wildlife, turning every drive into something special. His knowledge and experience as a guide really shone through and he always seemed to know where to be and what to look for, making sure we never missed out on incredible sightings. One unforgettable moment was when he led us to two male lions in the Masai Mara, and we had them all to ourselves for the first 15 minutes before any other vehicles arrived. Experiences like that were thanks to his skill, patience, and dedication.
By the end of the week, it honestly felt like we had gained a lifelong friend. I know for certain I will never have a better guide than Amos, and I’m already dreaming of planning my next trip with him. He truly made our safari an unforgettable adventure filled with memories we’ll treasure forever.
Over the week, we explored Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Tsavo East. Each destination offering its own magic. From the food to the accommodation, everything exceeded our expectations and ran so smoothly thanks to Rita’s planning and Amos’ care.
To say this trip was special is an understatement it was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Thank you, Rita and Amos, for making this safari the trip of a lifetime.
Memorable Kenya Safaris with Excellent Guide but Room Coordination Needs Improvement
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. The communication during booking was smooth and their driver-guide, Livingston, was simply outstanding—very knowledgeable about wildlife and birds, and made our game drives in Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli truly memorable. The value for money and service during the safari were excellent.
However, we faced an issue ... Read more with the hotel room in Amboseli. Despite confirming a Mt. Kilimanjaro view room in advance, we were initially given a different room and had to put in extra effort to get what was promised. After a long 8–9 hour road journey, this was quite inconvenient.
Overall, the safari itself was exceptional and I would highly recommend Livingston and Axis Africa for game drives, but better coordination on hotel arrangements would make the experience completely hassle-free.

Loved our experience with Axis. We went as a group of friends that did different booking, but everyone was very accomodating, Monica was the one handling my trip and she did very well. We did the 3 days Masai Mara with Kevin in August, and he was amazing. He explained everything, we saw every animal you can think of and he answered every question. The only thing I would change is the fact that you have to pay separately for drinks, including water. All in all, would 10000% recommend

We stayed 6 days with Raymond at Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. It was a fantastic experience, excellent sleeping facilities, excellent food, everything well organised.
