I Had the perfect experience with Axis Africa Safaris. The safari itself was better than I expected and all accommodations were great. Good customer service and drivers/guides, made safari an unforgettable. I definitely recommend Axis Africa Safaris and I would choose them again if I go back to Kenya.

We did a 4 day safari tour in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with Richard as our tour guide. Everything about the tour was fantastic and we had an amazing time. It was extremely well organised and Richard, and the company, were very attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend!

Great experience, really well looked after

We had a great experience with Axis Africa. Everything ran very smoothly - pick-up, meals, accommodation and the safari itself. Our guide, Richie, was wonderful. He made sure we saw as many animals as possible whilst keeping us very safe and obviously knows the Masai Mara like the back of his hand. Would recommend.

We booked the safari tour from Tunisia, and we got in touch with Axis Agency via what's up and arranged everything. The tour was much better than we expected, our tour guide Evans was very helpful and friendly, he did his best to make sure we get to see the big five in Masai Mara .
The hotels were clean and comfortable, everything we needed was available.

Fair value

We did a "5 Days Masai Mara Lenchada Camp-Lake Naivasha Sopa lodge-Amboseli Kibo Luxury camp" tour. As other reviews mentioned, Lenchada Camp (on Masai Mara) was (to be generous) basic. Sopa Lodge on Naivasha was great and Kibo camp was a clear (for the better) contrast to Lenchada. Lodging wise, it was good to see different realities / offers, on what could be completely different budgets.
Overa ... Read morell was an excellent experience, for a (very) fair price. Can also say that our driver (John) drove us very safely, managed to find all the animals and managed to satisfy our special (unscheduled) requests. Unlike some other comments, our van was clearly 4x4, and can't find fault on the offroad driving.
Communication was good, never had to wait too much for an answer from Lennox. Pesapal (for payment of the deposit) looks like a cheap copy of paypal but seems legit.
They do mix & match people on the tours, so we had a van with 7 people on the Masai Mara part (I believe from different companies), but was only our group on the remainder of the trip.
We also did a tour on Nairobi, with Daniel. He even offered a few extra stops, but due to jet lag we opted to go straight to the hotel.

Great Budget Safari

We chose a 5 day safari that included Masai Mara, Lake Navisha and Amboseli and opted to extend to 6 days. A few things to keep in mind when booking your own safari 1. The mini vans used for the safari are not the most comfortable and 2 people out of a possible 8 will NOT have window seats (but will have access to the roof). 2. They are not four wheel drive so if there is a lot of mud you WILL get ... Read more stuck. 3. There is a lot of driving between parks (4-6 hours depending on where you go).
Our guide Albert was great. He took into consideration what everyone in our group wanted to see and paid very close attention to the radio to make sure that we didn't miss anything. He was also a fantastic driver.
Our accommodations were a mixed bag. Lenchada Tourist camp has a baboon problem and several tents have holes in them where the monkeys sneak into during the day. The food and staff there were great though.
We also stayed at Navisha Resort, which was fantastic. We were able to take a boat to crescent island and walk around with the animals. Definitely a MUST do if you are tired of sitting in a car. In Amboseli we stayed at Kibo lodge which was a luxury camp site just on the boarder of the park. Gift shop was over priced and we had the worst bloody mary from the bar- but everything else was fantastic and the perfect place to end our adventure.
Over all, very good value for the money, well worth it.

Budgetary tour with pleasant and satisfying experience

The tour was wonderful. We saw lions, cheetahs, elephants, Giraffes, Zebras and many animals. Our guide Mr. Robert was very friendly and helpful in the journey. We had very good time in the 3-day tour. We were arranged to settle in Lenchada Camp. The experience was better than we thought. Staff there were nice and caring too. If you are phone to take photos in the tour, be reminded to bring at lea ... Read morest 2 power banks which could allow you to charge at least 2 times each. Since i took many photos, on the 3rd day I had only very low battery in my phone. And electricity could only be provided at night 6:30pm-10:00pm in a public area in restaurant, it may not be sufficient for fully charging the power banks and phone.

It was a great safari. We had booked 5 days safari tour that included Maasai Mara National Reserve (2 nights in Lenchada Tourist Camp), Lake Naivasha (1 night in "Magic" Naivasha Sopa Lodge) and Amboseli National Park (1 night in Kibo Safari Camp). The price was quite reasonable compared with other agencies. All tour was according to the schedule, we had two professional drivers-guides (Albert and ... Read more Dennis). They did their best for our amazing safari. We saw a lot of animals, such as lions cub, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, zebras, giraffes etc. The accommodations were great too, especially Sopa (where we saw giraffes and hippos from our room) and Kibo (where we saw Kilimandjaro from our camp). We liked everything and highly recommend Axis Africa Safaris.

Our guide was knowledgeable and got us up close to most of the animals we wanted to see. The safari was everything we expected and a little more.
