The guide’s skills play a huge role in shaping the experience, and we were lucky enough to have the best—Raimond. He did an excellent job, guiding us not only to all the well-known animals but also helping us spot some rare wildlife. It truly couldn’t have been any better!

Great value for the price
We had a wonderful experience with Axis Africa expedition ! Kevin was super nice, speaks excellent English, and made everything so easy for us. Thanks to him, we were able to see the Big Five, which was unforgettable. The hotels were a great value for the price — all very clean, with kind and welcoming staff. The food was tasty, a bit repetitive at times, but overall very good. Highly recommend!

This was my first time in Kenya going on a Safari. Axis was great all the way with constant communication and transparent pricing. Budget safaris are a dime a dozen in Kenya. What made this experience so enjoyable was my tour guide- Amos. He’s wealth of knowledge, humor, and tenacity is what will make me book again with this company.

One of the most important parts of traveling is who you share the journey with. Whether by design or by coincidence, I was fortunate to be with people of similar age and from similar regions. Even though I came alone, I quickly became close with new friends, and that truly made my trip even happier.

Highly recommend: organized and very communicative
We reached out to Axis a day before our tour was scheduled to start with another operator. Our original operator was highly suspect (e.g., no confirmed bookings, poor communication). With this tight turnaround, Axis organized a fantastic 6-day tour from Maasai Mara to Lake Navaisha to Samburu. Tabitha was very helpful and always kept us abreast of confirmations and bookings!
Our guide, Mohamed, ... Read more was the true star of Axis. He was friendly, proactive, funny and taught us quite a bit about both the animals we saw and the Kenyan people/customs. To top it off, he went out of his way to help us capture the best photographs with our massive cameras: he either positioned the jeep in a specific angle or looked for animals that he knew photographed really well. See some of the pics below! It was invaluable to learn from him and discuss all sorts of amazing topics over the course of the 6 days. If you get the chance, ask for him!
