The ultimate choice for wildlife photography – Obby is a legend!
As a wildlife photographer who has been on numerous safaris across Africa, I can honestly say that my last two trips to Botswana with Pioneer Safaris and Tours were the best experiences I’ve ever had. Choosing them was undoubtedly the best decision I’ve made. A huge part of this success is due to our guide, Obby. He is simply the best local guide I have encountered—tireless, incredibly experienced, and always eager to go the extra mile to ensure you get the perfect shot. His knowledge of the local areas and animal behavior is vast, which makes a huge difference in positioning for photography. Pioneer Safaris is extremely well-organized, offering great food and camps in the absolute best locations. Obby is not just a top-tier guide but also a fantastic guy to be around. I recommend Pioneer and Obby without hesitation!

Absolutely brilliant experience with Pioneer Safaris!
Our trips to Botswana in the Summer (July and August) of 2024 and 2025, exploring three incredible regions—Central Kalahari, Khwai, and Moremi were truly unforgettable. Choosing Pioneer Safaris was the perfect decision. The team was exceptionally welcoming, every service matched the description, and both the owner and guide were friendly and approachable. In fact, we truly believe our guide was among the best in the entire country at spotting wildlife!
We stayed in spacious individual tents, each with its own toilet and shower, which made our stay extremely comfortable. The service was outstanding and deserves five-star recognition.
Without a doubt, our next safari adventure will be with Pioneer Safaris.

Chobe and Okavango Delta Photographic Safari
We had an unforgettable experience in Botswana on August 2024. Our choice, Pioneer Safaris, proved
correct. The staff was very friendly, all services as described and the owner and guide very friendly and
helpful with very good knowledge of the area and its wildlife.
Our accommodation in large tents with ablution, shower service and veranda, one tent for each individual,
was very comfortable. The food was fantastic, our chef deserves five star distinction.
We have already booked our next safari adventure again with Pioneer Safaris.
