The Experience of a Lifetime
My brother and I begin researching Kenya & Tanzania safari options a few months ago and stumbled on Bavuma WildQuest’s website. Less than an hour after submitting an inquiry, Joshua Bavuma himself messaged me on WhatsApp, and emailed me a well-detailed itinerary and quote document. He was very kind and attentive to special requests such as adding in a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti.
Joshua provided prior reviews, pictures and even WhatsApp numbers for previous customers, which impressed us and immediately made us trust in him and his business. He allowed us to easily hold our Safari dates with a small deposit paid online, and kept in regular contact with us to answer any questions we may have had the months leading up to our arrival in Kenya.
We arrived and were immediately picked up by our first tour guide Ian. Ian was a friendly and incredibly knowledgeable young man who we absolutely loved as a Safari guide. He had incredible vision and quickly pointed out hidden animals in the bush like gazelles, cheetahs and zebras plus more our first day in Amboseli NP. The second day was just as incredible, we saw baby elephants and a Masai Giraffe up close in Masai Mara reserve. Our highlight on the Kenya side was seeing a whole pride of lions with 2 lion cubs. Finally, Ian was kind enough to drive us to the border with Tanzania, help us meet the Tanzanian Bavuma guide and clear immigration and customs before continuing on with our safari in Tanzania. Ian was a world-class guide, and having visited over 20 countries, Ian was the best tour guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Dennis was our guide on the Tanzanian side, and was equally as friendly and knowledgeable. He picked us up after we crossed the border and did a short game drive in the Northern Serengeti. We were incredibly lucky to witness the wildebeest migration across the river, see a leopard mama and her cub in a tree, and end the day with a spectacular sighting of two lions which were brothers. Finally, Dennis showed us flamingos, rhinos and more at the incredible Ngorongoro Crater, before dropping us off in Arusha, introducing us to Mr. Bavuma himself, and saying our goodbyes before departure.
The safaris, service, even the camps we stayed in while at Masai, Serengeti NP and more were all wonderful. Bavuma also offered us wonderful add-ons like the famous hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, a tour of Mt. Kilimanjaro and many opportunities to learn more about the tribal culture of the local tribes like the Masai people.
This was a truly 5-star experience and one of the best adventures I’ve ever been on throughout the travels of my life. I would highly recommend booking a safari with Bavuma WildQuest - ask for Ian and Dennis if possible.

Professionnel and friendly
Service is very good. Our cook was excellent.
Everything was nice. We spent 3 days in the delta Okowango and we had a great time. It was nice to walk. Our guide Ori was very professionnel ans we learned a lot about nature.

He was very jovial, entertaining and a compelling storyteller.
We had so much fun- we very luckily to have several close encounters with elephants and rhinos. We will have to come back because we missed the lions. We stopped for a picnic grilled lunch in the middle of the day with so local food. We would definitely come back again- an amazing tour! Our guide, Martin, went out of his way to try to make sure we were able to see as many of the animals as we could. He was great at explaining about all the wildlife too!

Everything we could have wanted, best trip ever
Our safari with Lobo Africa was by far the best trip I've ever had, and I’m already looking into returning for the wet season with them in a few years. I would recommend them 100x over as they catered to everything we asked for and delivered more than we could ever expect. Communication was excellent, and we received responses and updates while organizing very quickly. We had two guides between the two countries that we visited (Kenya, Tanzania) and both were fantastic.
Our first guide for Masai Mara park, Abraham, was excellent at locating animal activity and beating the rush to give us great locations. He was also very aware of how lighting in photography works, always positioning with the sunlight in mind. With him, we saw almost all of the big, popular animals in just one outing, and then were able to slow down for more uncommon species. He was very tuned into the radio network, and never missed action.
Our second guide for Serengeti and Tarangire NP was Goodluck, and he was a perfect match. He was an expert on ALL of the animals, including the small mammals and especially birds, which are my favorite to watch. He slowed for every new type of animal no matter the size, giving an ID and information. He kept us off the main crowded trails for the most part, so we saw a significant amount of wildlife that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. He also perfectly understood the animal behavior, and because of this he was able to position us directly next to a wildebeest crossing point (they crossed within 10 minutes, emerging from the river right next to our vehicle), despite it appearing as if they would cross elsewhere. He was also very funny and thoughtful.
This trip was amazing, and made special by Lobo Africa and their guides. I would highly encourage booking with them. Thank you Lobo Africa for the best trip ever!

Incredible
We had an absolutely incredible 4-day safari, and so much of what made the experience unforgettable was our amazing guide, Goodluck.
He was beyond excellent and exceeded all of our expectations. His knowledge of the area was truly impressive - he knew all the routes, understood the animals and their behavior, and seemed to know exactly where to go to give us the best possible wildlife sightings.
Thanks to his experience and incredible attention to detail, we were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, along with so many other incredible animals. He always seemed to know the best spots and the right moments to give us the most amazing encounters.
He was also friendly, professional, patient, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better safari experience.
