An Unforgettable Safari!
the entire experience of our safari with Ozon Light Tours was flawless from start to finish. I booked our tour six months in advance, and right from the beginning, the agency was incredibly transparent and trustworthy. Planning a trip so far ahead can be stressful, but their excellent communication put us completely at ease.
The logistics were perfect, and they selected excellent hotels for us. Having a comfortable, high-quality place to get a great night's sleep between the days on the Serengeti or Ngorongoro or Tarangire made a massive difference in our trip.
Our guide, Elijah, truly made the safari an absolute dream. He proved to be an exceptional driver—incredibly safe, careful, and responsible on every terrain. His tracking skills are unmatched; it felt like he always knew exactly where the wildlife would be, always positioning us perfectly for the best possible views of leopards, rhinos, lions, and more. Beyond that, Elijah is a wealth of knowledge. He was incredibly proactive, constantly sharing fascinating insights about the animals and local culture.
From the office staff to the field, Ozon Light Tours operates at the highest level. Do yourself a favor and ask for Elijah. They truly earned this 5-star review!

Incredible experience - Ultimate Kenyan with Train and Beach
We started planning our safari about a year in advance. Wendy and Lewis sent lots of information and were incredibly helpful. They were very patient and accommodating as we worked out whether a family member could travel with us due to health restrictions.
At times we had to push for information, but this may reflect the difference between British and Kenyan attitudes to travel!
On arrival we were met by Wendy, Lewis and their full team bearing gifts, and then introduced to our guide Edward. Edward was fantastic throughout he trip, adapting the trip to suit our interests - for example on our visit to Lake Elementitia, knowing members of our group were particularly interested in birds he took us to a section of the lake where the birds were particularly active. He was always in the know about what was happening with animals in the park and helped us to spot so much!
The accommodation was all lovely, comfortable and welcoming. A few days at the beach was just what we needed to relax after our adventure!
The internal flight back to Nairobi caused a little confusion - we were quite panicked about arriving at the airport barely 45 minutes before our flight - but we were not the last to check in! Check details for your luggage if you have flights.
We travelled about 1200 miles over the course of the safari, and Edward never looked at a sat nav once! Finding us washrooms and refreshments where needed as well as the well stocked water supply. The travel is tiring but well worth it for the sights and experiences. Thanks to Edwards network of guides we saw so much!
Tips - although we paid for the safari and tips in dollars, shillings were generally more useful to us.
Food was lovely and plentiful, even as a vegetarian. Many places checked whether I was happy with what was on offer.
Get used to the idea of bush toilets! When using public restrooms toilet roll is sometimes outside the cubicles. We put a roll in our travel bag and we're grateful for it.
Expect to pay for water with meals at some places. It's not expensive but not everywhere included this.

An unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience
My safari was an experience I will never forget, and that is mainly because of the incredible people who made it so special.
First of all, I want to give a huge thank you to Pritika. The company should consider itself incredibly lucky to have someone like her on their team. She was actually the main reason I chose this tour. Even before I booked, she answered every single one of my questions quickly, kindly, and at all hours of the day. From the very beginning, she made me feel safe and reassured that if anything happened, she would be there to help, and she absolutely was. Customer service like hers is rare these days.
Our drivers and guides were equally amazing. We visited Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, and we were fortunate enough to see an incredible variety of wildlife. That wasn’t just luck, it was thanks to our guides, who were passionate, knowledgeable, and determined to give us the best possible experience. They explained everything in detail, answered every question, and went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. You could truly feel how much they love what they do.
What impressed me even more was the way everyone treated us on a personal level. Towards the end of the trip, things became stressful. I was exhausted, hungry, frustrated, and disappointed. Despite that, the driver who stayed with me on the last day did everything he could to make me smile again, and he actually succeeded. The driver who picked me up from the hotel the following morning and took me to the airport also knew exactly how to lift my spirits. That kind of kindness and empathy cannot be taught; it comes from the heart. These are the people who make a trip truly unforgettable.
Unfortunately, there is one major issue that urgently needs attention: the vehicles.
We had the oldest vehicle of the tour, and unfortunately, it showed. On the second day, the pop-up roof actually collapsed onto me twice because it couldn’t be secured properly in the strong wind. Thankfully, I wasn’t injured, but it could easily have caused an accident. Guest safety should always be the highest priority.
On the last day, our vehicle broke down twice. As a result, we arrived back far too late, and I missed my flight. I had to stay an extra night, which meant that all the plans I had already made for the following day in Zanzibar had to be cancelled. Once again, Pritika immediately stepped in, organized everything, and made a difficult situation much easier to handle, for which I am truly grateful. However, as a traveler, it was still very disappointing.
In my opinion, the problem is not the staff, they give more than 100% every single day. The issue lies with the management. If guests are paying good money for a safari, part of that investment should go into maintaining and replacing the vehicles. Such dedicated employees deserve reliable equipment, and guests deserve a safe and dependable experience.
My final impression is very clear: the people are what make this safari exceptional. Pritika, the guides, and the drivers are the reason I returned home with wonderful memories despite the challenges. They truly understand what outstanding customer service means and treat their guests with genuine warmth, kindness, and respect.
If the company invests in newer and safer vehicles, this safari would be absolutely perfect. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously because they already have an outstanding team, they simply need to provide them with the tools they deserve.
One last thing I would like to mention is how wonderful the group was that I shared this safari with. From the very first day until the last, everyone was kind, fun, and easy to get along with. We laughed together, shared unforgettable moments, and made this adventure even more special. I feel truly grateful to have met such amazing people and to have experienced this incredible journey with them. They were a big part of what made this safari so memorable.
