Excellent, organised
We had an amazing 5 day tour of Madagascar, thanks to the well organised itinerary done by Soul of Madagascar (Theresia). It was really maximised so we had experienced most of the highlights of Madagascar, from seeing the lemurs,Baobab avenue, baobab forrest, love baobab, sacred baobab, experiencing sunset at the baobab avenue and going up & down the Greater Tsingy at Bermahara. Wonderful, amazing experience, thanks to our guide Gervo & our driver Jilioš for ensuring our safety too.

My colleague (20 years old) and I (25 years old) booked our trip to Madagascar through "Soul of Madagascar". Our guide Mickael and our driver Ambinintsoa met us at the airport on time and very warmly. They also helped us with our luggage straight away. The tour was perfectly planned from start to finish and ran smoothly. Ambinintsoa was the best driver you could wish for in Madagascar, and our tour guide Mickael was also excellent. He always fulfilled our wishes and even helped me when I fell ill on the tour. I don't take that for granted at all. Mickael's knowledge and language skills are also excellent. He is a very great person. We had a lot of fun together and I'm sad that the trip ended so quickly. Definitely my top destination! I can only recommend Soul of Madagascar!

Soul of Madagascar Tours
We had an amazing 11-day trip in Madagascar with Soul of Madagascar Tours, exploring both the East and West of this beautiful country. Everything was well-organized, and we couldnāt have asked for a better experience.
Our guides, Joushia and Nandrianina, were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made every part of the journey enjoyable and informative. A special thanks also to Rivo, our driver, who was not only professional and skilled but also made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip.
The car was very comfortable, which made the long drives pleasant and relaxing. Every day was filled with unforgettable sights and experiences from lush rainforests to breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife.
We were so happy with our trip and truly grateful for the warmth and care we received. Thank you, Soul of Madagascar Tours, for making this a trip of a lifetime!

A wonderful and well organised journey
We chose SOTM to plan our 3-week trip because the correspondence with Theresia was very professional and helpful. She incorporated our ideas into a super-organised tour, including all entrance fees, guides, domestic flights etc.. It was particularly important for us that she always responded very quickly and we had the feeling that we had a reliable local partner. The fact that we had to bring the outstanding balance (a few thousand euros) in cash, which was then collected by a member of staff at the hotel, was a little strange at first. But this is the normal procedure, as there always seem to be problems at the Bank of Madagascar with transfers of this amount. We had 3 very enjoyable and exciting weeks with the incredibly skilful driver AndrƩ, who was able to fix some problems with the car on his own. One thing in advance: the road conditions in Madagascar ALWAYS cause damage to the car, even with our off-road jeep. Eric, our guide, spoke very good English and told us a lot about Madagascar's culture and history. He and the other guides in the parks are also well trained in the flora and fauna, so you can learn a lot of new things on this trip (even as a biologist). Thanks to the vast experience of our 2 guides, the tour was very well organised, as they knew exactly when to set off in the morning in order to reach the next destination before nightfall. The selected hotels were mostly of a standard that you would accept in Central Europe without complaint (see photos). There were only 2 areas that were very remote and where there was only one hotel, you just have to take that - running water is not always available in one of the poorest countries in the world.
However, the meals were safe in ALL the hotels and we had no health problems. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of organisation (which is often not so good in Europe either) and can therefore recommend SOMT without reservation. It was a wonderful experience.

Incredible trip, impressive company
Soul of Madagascar was the right choice for our vacation. We chose their 7 day Andasibe - Palmarium itinerary, and ThĆ©rĆØsia was kind enough to modify it to better suit our travel goals.
What a trip it was! Madagascar is a beautiful country. While I certainly wish I had months to spend there, the week we had was incredible. We are nature lovers, and to spend time observing lemurs was a dream come true. Not to mention being able to hike and take in a little beach time too.
Eric was a great guide--extremely friendly and easy to travel with. Rivo was a good driver and he was really nice as well. Our car broke down, and they worked together to have us on the road again quickly. I'm sure it was stressful behind the scenes, but as the guests....we ended up on our boat ride up the pangalanes channel right around sunset. A beautiful result of an accidental delay.
The hotels chosen were good. We had amenities, on site restaurants with great food, and nice rooms. I politely recommend doing research on accommodations in Madagascar. Standards may be different than you're accustomed to. Additionally, keep in mind most places are cash only. We only found a couple places that accepted cards, and only Visa. This didn't cause any issues for us, I only mention it for future travelers reading this :)
Overall, it was an amazing experience. We've traveled quite a bit, and hope to return to Madagascar one day. If and when we do, we will certainly book with Soul of Madagascar again.

Excellence with a smile
Theresia made some great plans for four days, what to see, where to stay and how to get there when I asked her for suggestions, for a reasonable price. I had some great days together with Eric, my guid and Safidy, our driver. Safidy made a good job on those crazy,bumpy roads- I felt secure all the time. Eric shared lots of personal stories, cultural traditions and knew a lot about both history and animals . we had a really good time. So, if you looking for a team that wants to do the best for your vacation- choose Soul of Madagascar.

An exceptional adventure
In August, we traveled with Soul of Madagascar, a group of friends of 3 people. A 3-day excursion to Sainte-Marie. I can't find the words to describe our adventure. It was incredible, a dream trip. Everything was impeccable. There were a few unforeseen events like bad weather, but we consider them part of our adventure. I plan to come back with other teams. Thank you, Soul of Madagascar Tours.

I visited Madagascar from September 12 to 25, 2024. I started contacting Theresia to organize our trip, 10 days before our departure. She was the first agency to respond to us first, and we stayed. When we arrived in Madagascar, everything was in accordance with our expectations. We did the North circuit and Nosy be. Madagascar is a developing country, but it is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. I am extremely happy with our trip with Soul of Madagascar Tours. They say there's no such thing as perfection, but I was having fun, excited and satisfied. We saw everything: culture, adventure, the beautiful beach... I will surely come back to look at the baobabs and the Tsingy de Bemaraha. I give 5 stars to the whole team, to say 'Misaotraa' and encourage them!

Travel in peace, thank you!
In September, my family and I spent 15 days in Madagascar with Soul of Madagascar, including the East Andasibe, Palmarium, Tamatave and Ivoloina circuit. Everything went smoothly. The road in Madagascar is not like in Europe, but it is a common problem for everyone. We had a great time and admired all the scenery. In a country like Madagascar, it is essential to have patience and adapt. I am completely happy with the organization. I said YES thank you to the entire Soul of Madagascar Tours team. I highly recommend this agency!!

Amazing tour from start to finish!
We took a tour with Soul of Madagascar this August and can absolutely recommend this tour agency :) Theresia was very friendly and willing to help us with all the questions we had prior to booking the tour. Once we arrived in Madagascar she also gave us all the necessary information about the beginning (and later about the end) of the tour.
Our guide, Eric, and driver, Tahiry, were very friendly and welcoming. Eric gave us a lot of interesting information about the local culture, differences between the tribes, cities and more. He also took care of all the hotel check-ins so we didnāt have to worry about anything ourselves. Tahiry managed to drive us safely through all the roads (including the āabsentā ones), which didnāt always seem to be an easy task. With both Eric and Tahiry we felt like we were in very good hands :)
We enjoyed the tour a lot!
P.s. we did self-driving in Namibia last year and would definitely recommend to not try it in Madagascar :)
