Amazing location right on the river with incredible staff
5/5

Fantastic location for an exclusive getaway. The main house is great for larger groups. We stayed in a Pukka Chalet which was very comfortable. The staff is just amazing: they looked after our every need. Chobe House offers camping trips, boat cruises, and game drives, and their guides are the best in the business. But if you just want to take it easy, you can just hang out and relax in thier floating restaurant.

Absolutely extraordinary
5/5

As a regular guest to the area, Chobe house has set a very high standard and great experience, set in the heart of the action.
A must if you go to the Kasane region.

The Chobe House safari camping trip was the trip of a lifetime! The perfect mix of thrilling wildlife tracking and cozy, high-quality camp comforts. Sleeping in the wild while enjoying great freshly cooked food and expert guiding exceeded all our expectations. We saw an incredible amount of animals and could hear lions roaring throughout the night. It was just incredible!! I highly recommend this experience for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure. Would do it all again in a heartbeat!

A great base for a safari but also fantastic organisers of memorable mobile safari camping nights
5/5

A group of us (parents of kids who were in the same class but now grown up!) decided to safari to Botswana and we struck gold with Chobe House. The lodge sits on the River Chobe with fantastic views and a river boat where you can dine and take breakfast. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing communal space and great coffee machine! But what ultimately makes the difference was the staff. Knowledgeable guides, and attentive staff who were also great fun and really engaging where nothing was too much trouble.

Whilst my wife and I had been on safari before, it was great to be able to mix game drives with river safari's, being lucky enough to see a leopard on the bank on our first boat trip out. We also saw an unbelievable variety of other wildlife, much close up.

My two favourite nights though were away from the lodge, where the Chobe team organised a nights camping just outside the park and one nights camping in the park itself. To sit round a campfire with a nice glass of red listening to the roar of lions and sounds of the bush is something I will never forget. We had comfy camp beds, large tents which were already erected when we arrived on site and wonderful food. Being able to go on night drives in the dark and see lions with a new kill is something really special.

We thought costs of accommodation, food 7 drink, trips out including camping was pretty good value for money. I wouldn't recommend something unless it was a great experience but don't have hesitation in recommending Chobe House. We are already planning a return trip in 2027!

Fantastic location and memorable experiences at Chobe House
5/5

Had a fantastic 10 days at Chobe House. Stunning accommodation and incredible location.

You get the best of both worlds - on the Chobe river for river safaris, and just a 5 minute drive to the park for land safaris. But also close to restaurants and shops for some luxury holiday living!

Chobe House itself feels spacious and luxurious and the decking at the back overlooking the river makes for memorable Sundowner memories!

Would highly recommend

Amazing safari lodge and camping holiday!
5/5

Our stay at Chobe House was something we will remember forever. The lodge, set right by the river was the perfect place to base our safari holiday. We were collected from the airport in the luxurious game viewer and taken to the lodge. We were given a warm welcome by all the staff and our safari adventure began. Bradley and his staff could not have done more for us. Always attentive, but unobtrusive, they arranged all activities for us, including river safari and a trip to Victoria falls.

We went on safari every day and wanted for nothing! Every detail (including meals and drinks whilst on safari) was attended to, leaving us to enjoy our safari experience.

Bradley and his team organised the most wonderful camping trip for us - we slept out in the park in sturdy tents arranged around an ancient Baobab tree. It was truly magical to be sat in the safari park, under the stars, with our favourite tipple! We sat and listened to lions roar in the distance and chatted the night away around the camp fire. Just like at the lodge, nothing was too much trouble and every need was met with a smile.

Thanks to Bradley and his team! We could not have asked for more!

Authentic Botswana experience with exceptional guiding and genuine hospitality
5/5

Being hosted by the Chobe House team was an unforgettable experience - one that has remained etched in both my memory and my heart. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, and every detail reflected a genuine passion for sharing Botswana’s wild places.

Our guide’s knowledge of the local birdlife was exceptional, and his tracking skills led us to some truly unforgettable lion sightings. Combined with delicious home-style meals inspired by local flavours and a team that consistently went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, the experience felt authentic, personal, and truly memorable.

Long after returning home, I found myself thinking about the people, the wildlife, and the sense of peace I experienced there. It’s a place that genuinely changed how I feel about Botswana, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

Chobe House - the perfect safari experience with a bit of everything
5/5

This was a safari with a difference. As well as the amazing game drives each day the Chobe House team arranged 2 different nights camping in the bush, various river safaris and even a day out to Victoria Falls.
The lodge has comfortable rooms, a relaxed vibe and sits on the river where it’s pleasant to sit and relax between safaris The food was excellent and drinks, whilst providing a great range, were reasonably priced. The staff are really attentive, welcoming and well trained in customer experience, and were so friendly that they felt like friends by the end of the trip. The lodge is located in Kasane which felt safe to around and has a new and modern airport.
The Chobe National Park has such a wealth of wildlife – we saw leopards, prides of lions, herds of elephants, a cheetah , crocs, water buffalo, wild dogs, hyaena and so much more. The birdlife was incredible too. It was good to vary tours with drives and river safaris which gives a completely new perspective to the wildlife - watching various animals come to the river drink, wash and play, especially the baby elephants!
The unforgettable highlight was our two nights in the bush, coming across a lone male lion roaring on a night drive, sleeping under canvas, sharing a glass or two by a camp-fire with friends and hearing the sounds of wild animals whilst sitting under the stars.

Absolutely out of this world
5/5

We were lucky enough to stay at Chobe House with our friends for what was an absolute once in a life time holiday.
Charles (game viewer driver) picked us up at the airport in the truck and took us to Chobe House and it was a welcoming like no other, all the staff were outside singing and dancing to welcome us which was amazing !
The house is out of this world with a huge social area, plunge pool, BBQ area , a floating restaurant/social area on the river and the fantastic bedrooms which are massive and so secure (to the point we never locked our room or felt the need lock things away).
The staff are super friendly and nothing is any hassle and will go out of their way to do anything for you ( I put some clothes in the wash bag in our bathroom to keep bedroom clean until we left - coming back one day to find they had all been washed and cleaned and folded laid on our bed - I mean you can’t get any better it’s the little things)
The game drives were absolutely breath taking in the reserve wether it was in the truck or the boat - Charles went out of his way to show us the animals and their surroundings getting up close but yet feeling so safe. His knowledge is unbelievable of the animals and area. We never for a minute thoughts we’d get to see what did let alone be so close to them to sit and admire.
We were also lucky enough to go camping twice and this was something else to be out there in the wild with the animals at night hearing every sound from elephants walking past to lions roaring in the distance and all the amazing staff up all night keeping us safe with absolutely no worries just mega nights to remember forever.
This was one of the most amazing holidays we’ve ever had all down to the host and staff of Chobe House making us feel special and providing us with a once in a lifetime experience, We will definitely be coming back.

Very good and organised
5/5

We went to Chobe House expecting high standards, but for us it completely exceeded our expectations. We were very warmly welcomed by a fabulous traditional African dance, with lots of smiling staff ready to make our journey the most memorable experience ever, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.

With most of the amazing trips and scenery, Charles and Kenawe found the perfect spots to see such amazing wildlife. The kitchen chefs, Mavis and Sugar, made the most amazing meals planned for us. Lots of friendly staff, such as Allan, Penhya, KJ and IK, made us feel so welcome.

If you’re looking for a safari with a combination of river tours and game drives, honestly, book it – it’s amazing. The staff are amazing, the scenery is amazing, the accommodation is amazing, and the food is amazing.

We would definitely recommend the wild camping in the bush. Thanks to Bradley for hosting us, and James for planning it. You really made us feel at home, and we will be sure to come back.
