Great Namibian Self-Driving Safari
Chrizell at Secret Namibia was fantastic to work with. We laid out basically where we were interested in going and what we liked/disliked and she created a complete plan and made all bookings for everything from a 4x4 to hotels, activities, and transfers. If we had any questions or issues she was right there for us (including getting us a Wi-Fi hot spot when it turned out our international data plans didn't include Namibia for some reason).
The places we stayed were all top-notch and we received excellent service everywhere we went including Windhoek, the deserts of Kalahari and Namib, Swakopmund, and Damaraland. We highly recommend Secret Namibia.

Incredible destination, fantastic support - highly recommended!
We had the most incredible experience with Secret Namibia! From the very beginning, the booking process was super smooth. Jessica went above and beyond to make all of our wishes come true. We had last-minute changes to our itinerary, lodges, and even dates, and she was always so accommodating, patient, and efficient.
During the trip, Jessica continued to provide outstanding support. Whenever we needed something in-country—whether it was booking or adjusting plans last minute—she was always available and made everything happen seamlessly. Thanks to her dedication and care, our vacation truly turned into a dream trip.
We couldn’t recommend Secret Namibia highly enough. If you’re planning a trip to Namibia, you can trust Jessica and her team to create an unforgettable experience.

Well organised and busy schedule to see lots with great guide and driver.
Highly recommended for an enjoyable, busy but stress free visit. We were a group of 12 friends and relatives on a nine day tour. It was a fairly intense trip (lots of 6.30am starts) but we wanted to see as much as possible as we will probably only do this once. (Note that Namibian roads can be a bit bumpy!). Our guide and driver were very friendly and helpful and really helped make it a fun tour and everything ran to plan. We particularly enjoyed the day around the dunes and canyons near Sesriem and the trips around Swakopmond ( boat trip and 4*4 dunes trip) plus the sundowner and rhino drives near Sossusvlei and Waterburg respectively. Hotels were all very comfortable. We particularly liked the Desert Homestead Lodge near Sossusvlei and the Damara Mopane Lodge near Gondwana. The dinner on the last night up the tower in Windhoek city centre was a nice way to finish. If planning to do a tour of Windhoek, I would suggest the parliament/museums etc in the centre, rather than the open air markets.
Unexpected Surprises - Fantastic Holiday
I had shopped around for a safari trip of of our dreams for our honeymoon. I gave several operators a broad outline of what we wanted.
Secret Namibia came back with the closest to what we wanted. I asked them to add a trip to the Okavango Delta and that was done promptly.
In the end, our trip was Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta, Sossusvlei, Skeleton Coast, Etosha and ended in Na'an Ku Se. Travel was mainly by shared charter plane.
It all went nearly as we had dreamed. The add on to the trip to the Okavango Delta ended up being the best part of the trip.
One piece of advice - if you want to get close to the animals, go to Botswana. The jeeps are allowed to go off road and you can get to within metres of the animals. Whereas in Namibia, the jeeps have to stay on the Road, so you can only look at the animals from afar.
Three months on from the vacation, my wife is still going over the pics and updating Instagram

Incredible! Everything was very hands by the team.
My wife and I did a 14 day in country self drive tour. Our only regret is we wish we could have done 21 days. The lodges we stayed at were absolutely stunning and to really enjoy them would be a minimum of three nights. The distance between lodges might appear close, if the roads were paved but since they are dirt, well you get the picture.

Excellently managed tour of the the beautiful and varied Namibia
Our tour of Namibia exceeded our expectations with Peter and our driver Godfrey going to great lengths to ensure our party made the most of this lovely country. The varied scenery and wildlife more than made up for some long days on the road and the accommodation at night was excellent. All the arrangements including the extra tours we asked to be added to the itinerary were well organised and seamless. Excellent value for money.

A Stress-Free, Incredible Group Tour Thanks to Secret Namibia
A couple of our friends had booked a safari with Secret Namibia a couple of years ago and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. Taking their recommendation and after seeing all the positive reviews online, we decided to book a group safari through Namibia, Victoria Falls, and the Okavango Delta. There were four of us in our party and having travelled to South Africa in the past, we’d been looking to explore this part of the world and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic decision.
From the very beginning, Secret Namibia made everything so easy. Johan was so helpful in particular, answering all our questions and even giving us tips on what to pack and how to prepare. They handled every detail, including arranging all transfers and making sure the lodges were perfectly suited to our group. Even when we had a last-minute flight delay on the way out, Johan quickly sorted things so we didn’t miss a moment of our trip.
Our tour began in Namibia where we explored Etosha National Park, Sossusvlei, the Skeleton Coast, and Damaraland. Each region was unique with a huge variety of wildlife and the landscapes were out of this world. As a group we absolutely loved tracking elephants in Damaraland and we strongly suggest climbing the dunes in Sossusvlei because the views are stunning. Along the way, we met so many friendly locals who were always happy to have a quick chat and they actually embrace tourists unlike other places we've visited.
After Namibia, we spent a couple of nights in Zimbabwe to visit Victoria Falls, which was every bit as special as we’d hoped. The helicopter ride over the falls was a standout wow moment. Finally, we headed to Botswana’s Okavango Delta, where we enjoyed a fantastic boat trip and had plenty of time for some wildlife photography.
Even though we covered a lot of ground, the whole trip never felt overwhelming or rushed and that's mainly because everything was so well planned. Every lodge we stayed in was exceptional, with luxurious rooms, amazing food, and even spa facilities that we happily made the most of. Johan also made sure we had plenty of time to relax between activities, which kept the trip feeling balanced and enjoyable.
It’s hard to put into words how amazing this trip was for all of us, but Secret Namibia deserves all the credit for making it so special and stress free. If you're considering exploring Southern Africa don't hesitate to book with them. We had the time of our lives and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

12 Days of Perfection in Namibia- Brilliant Tour Operator
A few weeks ago my partner and I set off on a 12 day luxury safari organised by SecretNamibia, and I can honestly say it was incredible. From start to finish, everything ran like clockwork, thanks to Johan, our main contact at SecretNamibia. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect.
We explored stunning regions like Damaraland and Etosha, packed with unforgettable activities. The amount of wildlife we saw on our many game drives exceeded our expectations and we loved exploring places like Twyfelfontein that have so much history. The safari was fully inclusive, and the food was consistently excellent. The lodges were some of the best we’ve ever stayed in, with Onduli Ridge and Camp Kala holding a special place in our hearts for their breathtaking locations and brilliant staff.
Thanks to SecretNamibia’s seamless planning and Johan’s personal touch, this was, without doubt, the most incredible holiday we’ve ever experienced. Luxury at every turn and we cannot recommend this tour company highly enough! Would 100% book another safari again and we're hoping to get away to Botswana next time. Thank you.

The Secret Namibia Team was amazing to work with, giving us a memorable journey throughout Namibia!
We gave Chrizell a tall task in planning our self drive Namibia trip. She was quick to connect with us and was thorough in understanding our travel requests, as well as lodging requirements. We were late in our request, but somehow, she was able to put together an amazing trip that had all the key places we wanted. The cost she gave us was very reasonable, and the payment process was very easy to complete (not always so easy with African vendors). We received an initial itinerary that we adjusted a couple of times (due to our requests), and Chrizell and Johan sent us updated agendas as the day approached. We were all set!
When we arrived in Windhoek, we were met in the airport by Secret Namibia, and given a packet with maps, hotel vouchers, some animal and bird identification books. We met with our vehicle provider (Samuel), and he explained the how-to's of driving the (brand new!) vehicle. That was great, as we went through even how to change the tire(s) (we had 2 spares). However, thank goodness, we had zero issues with the vehicle, which also had a cooler in the back for items that needed to be kept cool.
The route we were given optimized our time and travel. Accommodations were great to good, though the latter is all that is available in some remote areas we went to (and likely impacted by our late planning). We had an amazing time in all the places we visited, and would not suggesting skipping any of them. We visited Windhoek, Kalahari, Fish Canyon, Klein Aus (wild horses), Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland, Palmwag Etosha NP, and Waterberg. The 3 weeks went very fast, and we truly enjoyed the self driving aspect of the trip. We specifically enjoyed doing the self drive safari in Etosha, where we went where we wanted, as well as stayed as long as we wanted, in the park. Fish River Canyon, Sossusvlei (you gotta climb Big Daddy Dune, and then the rush of going down it!), and Kalahari also stood out for us.
Watchouts on the trip are the number and locations of gas stations, lots of unpaved roads (we enjoyed this actually), and poor cell/wifi coverage in remote areas (which is to be expected). We actually had some wifi coverage in our vehicle, which was really helpful!
We have already recommended Secret Namibia to friends who have inquired. The excellent service, the freedom of self driving, and excellent pricing, make them an easy referral for us!

Secret Namibia organised a wonderful tour that met all our requirements.
The video call to set up what we wanted to do was really useful. All the arrangements, hotels and travel plans, were of a high standard. In country support was great. They even organised a new hotel when we didn’t drive far enough.
