Organized and efficient
We have just done a 10 day tour with Madagascar Natural Tours and it exceeded our expectations! We could not have managed that country without them as we don't speak French! I have always been strongly opposed to tours as I like to do my own thing when traveling but they catered our trip to still feel that way!

Well organized and professional in responding to emails

Amazing tour - trip of a lifetime!
We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect.
Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff!
We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping... Read more off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime!
I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!

The tailor-made itinerary allowed me to experience all the major highlights of Madagascar at a comfortable and well-paced rhythm, perfectly balancing travel days with exciting activities.
The guides and my driver were absolutely excellent: knowledgeable, friendly, and always ensuring I was enjoying myself. They even introduced me to some local restaurants, adding to the travel experience. The accommodations and locations throughout the tour were consistently of good quality and well-situated.

good service despite some problems
overall a good agency that was able to deal well with some problems such as the cancellation of a flight and the need to reorganize some stages of the tour. they were flexible in the choice and offered us the possibility of upgrading some hotels at the last minute. very good at managing the naturalistic part, less so when it came to making us visit the capital and surrounding areas, they need to structure the part regarding Tana better too, paying attention to the opening and closing times of the attraction (We happened to arrive in front of the monuments and find them closed, or to arrive on site and not have a guide). we had chosen to do a long drive which turned out to be even longer than expected as the organizer was not well informed about the state of the roads after the monsoons. overall I would recommend this agency, Harilala was very helpful and always reachable on whatsapp, he answered all our questions and also showed us his house before going to the airport.

Harilala and his crew were wonderful to work with. They were accommodating of our travel plans and were able to make a tour of Madagascar as far reaching and enjoyable as our schedule allowed. Harilala went the extra mile to make sure that even on either side of the tour, we were equipped with the knowledge of what we could do and how we would get around. Communicating with him over WhatsApp was always timely.

Two wildlife trips in Northern Madagascar
We arrived first for a day in Noisy Be and we're met at the dock straight off our cruise ship. The car was modern and in good condition and our driver was careful. Our guide Christian spoke good English and both Christian and our driver Jake new the wildlife and what we wanted to see. Arriving at our destination we walked through mangrove and across beach to Lokobe Reserve. All the way wildlife was picked out for us by our guides. We saw rare and endemic birds, Lemurs and several species of Chameleon and other reptiles. Great trip and delivered back to the port in time. Thanks.
The next trip was from Antiserenana to Amber Mountains NP. This matched up to the previous trip and this firm would be recomended.

Determined to ensure the best experiences possible
Beginning well in advance of our travel to Madegascar, we had repeated communications with the company. This interaction not only answered many of our questions about what to expect and how to prepare, but also it gave us confidence in the choice we had made for our tour operator. That certainly allowed us to feel more comfortable as we prepared to traverse halfway around the globe.
Because we were arriving on different days from Australia and the USA, Harilala, the owner, began our tour by having to coordinate different pick up times. Complicating this was the cancellation and rescheduling of my flight from Australia; nonetheless, he was at the airport to ensure I was met.
The following morning, he shepherded us through the domestic terminal to our flight to the coast for our eagerly anticipated visit to the Baobab Alley. The local guide he provided was exceptional. The experiences and interactions with local residents he managed truly enhanced the grandeur of these extraordinary... Read more trees. Two days later, we learned that Madegascar Airlines had canceled the return flight and it appeared that we would be forced to wait four days to return to the capital. Such a delay would have cost us much of our anticipated touring. Through his flexibility, Harilala arranged for the guide to drive us back to the capital. While this was a two day trip our treacherous roads, it provided an opportunity to see much of the country that otherwise would have been missed. Harilala’s making the best of a very bad situation actually worked to our advantage since it gave us the opportunity to experience different regions of Madagascar that we would have never known.
Once we were back in the capital, we prepared for our visit to the national parks in search of lemurs. These several days were the BEST. We never envisioned there could be so many different varieties of these beautiful animals. Trekking through the rainforest both during the day and night allowed us to experience the animals and their natural environment. The guides who were provided insured again that we used our time most expeditiously and discovered the lemurs in their natural habitats.
The accommodations that were provided for us throughout our tour exceeded our expectations. We never would have thought that a couple of these hotels could exist in some of the locales. We really anticipated that we would be “roughing it” in the national parks but were most pleasantly surprised.
In summary, we feel we were handsomely rewarded for having chosen Madagascar Natural Tours. The attention to detail and the extra efforts provided by both the management and the several guides with whom we worked were a superb return on our investment of tour dollars

An incredible breadth of knowledge!
Harilala, a native Malagasy, knows his country. History, fauna, resources, animals and the people. Our trip was amazing on so many counts: the beauty of the people and the land. We bombarded Harilala with questions about every aspect of life for his fellow Malagasy, and he shared such amazing information. During our 2 week trip we visited exceptional places, met lovely people and experienced those things unique to Madagascar. I couldn't have imagined a richer experience.
