Overall it would be a 4.5 stars review
We chose Ethio Top Land Tours for their itinerary and price, and their service before the tour was excellent. Lamesgn responded quickly, was very helpful, and even handled a cancelled domestic flight efficiently, giving us confidence in our choice.
The tour itself had ups and downs. We were disappointed to learn only upon arrival that we’d lose a day of hiking in the Simien Mountains due to our international flights, especially since we were excited about reaching 4,400 m on day three. Still, the Simien portion was well-organised, and the guide, driver, scout, cook, and assistant did a great job. Lalibela and Abune Yemata were also well-organised, with only a small misunderstanding about tips.
Danakil, the part we most looked forward to, was a letdown. The partner operator placed us on a group tour instead of the private one we booked, making the experience rushed and the guiding quality low. Despite still loving Danakil itself, we regretted how that part was handled. Ethio Top Land Tours has since ended their contract with that provider and tried to make up for it with complimentary drinks and hotel upgrades.
During our week in South Omo, guided by Lamesgn, pretty much everything ran smoothly and we had a fantastic time. Zwayne Lake, Abijeta-Shala National Park, and the Bale Mountains are must-sees.
Overall, I highly recommend Ethio Top Land Tours - they truly take care of their clients.

Very accommodating and professional tour company
Had a great day trip to Wanchi Crater from Addis Ababa yesterday with Ethio Land Top Tours. The crater is an amazing place with stunning views and it’s very peaceful. You don’t want to miss seeing this area and scenery.
Both the guide Gebiru and driver Kenaw, were very knowledgeable, kind, friendly and looked after me throughout the day. They went over an above to ensure I enjoyed the trip and that where possible, the itinerary suited my preference for what I wanted to see and do. Thanks!

As a solo female traveler, I was a bit nervous at first, but this tour exceeded all my expectations. The group tour setup made me feel comfortable and included every step of the way. Every day, they checked in to make sure I was happy with my accommodation and other arrangements, which made the experience even more special. The highlights were definitely the Danakil Depression and Lalibela—absolutely breathtaking! The hospitality was outstanding, and I truly felt welcomed throughout the journey. I was even invited to a farewell dinner, which was such a lovely touch. Thank you for making this trip unforgettable!

Enthusiastic and welcoming
Geburi and Eshetu arrived on time and made our half day tour so beautiful. We got to see both sides of Addis exploring the market, museum and seeing beautiful views from Mount Entonto. Very knowledgeable and left us feeling like we got to know the city better in such a short space of time

Perfect tour experience for our family
We recently took a tour with Ethio top lan tours, and it was nothing short of amazing! my family and i, including our two young children, had the most wonderful time. From the very beginning, the team made us feel welcomed and took great care of our kids, which we really appreciated.
During our adventure, we hiked through Simien mountains national park, where we were surrounded by stunning nature, waterfalls, and even saw some incredible wildlife. In South Ethiopia, we explored the Omo Valley, and each day brought a new tribe with unique cultures and warm hospitality. The kids had a blast trying to communicate with the tribes, and especially in the Karo Tribe, they got to experience traditional body painting, which was an unforgettable moment for them!
We felt truly cared for throughout the entire journey, thanks to the professionalism and kindness of our tour guide, the driver, and everyone involved. a special thanks to Lamesgn, the owner of the company, for making this experience so memorable.

I admire the professionalism of the tour operator

Knowledgeable and experienced guide!
Our tour experience with Ethio top land tour was outstanding. Lamesgn responded quickly to all our questions, and the entire trip was very well organized. As photographers on a 10 days tour, we were amazed especially in Bale, where our guide showed us wolves, rare wildlife, and incredibly colorful birds we didn’t expect to find outside Kenya or Tanzania. Our guide in the Simien Mountains was also wonderful, sharing detailed knowledge of the park, and the food throughout the trip was excellent. We had an unforgettable time and we recommend Ethio top land tours.

Very dedicated, friendly and professional
Our tour in Bale mountains was superb. Hussein, our guide, was always helpful, showed us amazing landscapes, all the animals one can see there and adapted to our requests and unexpected problems. We felt everything was always taken care of. Getachew, our guide in Addis was equally friendly and was always in contact to make sure all was going well. He was excellent in showing us the market, very patient all the time and always concerned about safety.

Incredible experience. We were treated like friends, not clients
We booked a 4day tour to Bale mountains and it surpassed all our expectations. Both Getachew in Addis Abeba and Husen in Gobe were very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We had mind-blowing experience in Bale, saw so many wild animals, enjoyed the magnificent nature. Everything was organised perfectly, not a minute of our time was wasted. Our guide Husen knows so much about the nature and the wild life in Bale, and told us a lot about daily life in Ethiopia, too. We were treated like friends, not clients.
It was especially nice to see how much Husen cares about his land and people.
I absolutely recommend these guys to anyone who wants to explore Ethiopia. I hope their company flourishes.
