Our 8-Day Safari with Ramble Africa: A Trip We’d Book Again Without Hesitation
5/5

Five adults, eight days, four incredible national parks, and one unforgettable guide — our safari with Ramble Africa exceeded every expectation we had going in.

Booking and Communication
Everything about the pre-trip process was refreshingly smooth. All communication happened in English, and we were able to finalize every detail while still in Germany — no last-minute surprises, no confusion. We paid the full amount in advance, which meant we didn’t need to carry cash or deal with high-fee ATM withdrawals in Kenya. For anyone who values a stress-free start to their trip, this made a real difference.

Arrival and Route
On the first morning, we were greeted warmly in Nairobi by the organizer and our guide, who picked us up in our safari vehicle. Over the following eight days, we visited the Masai Mara, Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Lake Naivasha — a route that offered a fantastic mix of landscapes and wildlife.

Accommodation
We stayed in a mix of lodges and standard hotels, both booked at a mid-range level. The lodges were our favorite — they felt more authentic and had a distinct character that the hotels sometimes lacked. That said, both categories delivered on the essentials: friendly staff, cleanliness, delicious food, and an overall hassle-free experience. Even when early-morning game drives meant we missed breakfast, the staff always packed us lunch boxes without us having to ask twice.

The Safari Vehicle
We traveled in a typical safari tourist vehicle — clean, safe, and well-equipped. Both the front seats and the rear cabin had access to an opening roof, which let us view animals not just through the windows but from above as well. The roof doubled as sun protection during the long drives between parks, which was a nice practical touch.

Accuracy of the Offer
What we saw matched exactly what was promised. The hotels and lodges lived up to the photos we’d been sent beforehand — nothing was exaggerated or oversold. Given that we booked mid-range accommodations, the standard consistently met Western expectations. For most travelers, this category is more than sufficient.

Our Guide: Aron
If there’s one thing we want to highlight above all, it’s our guide, Aron. He showed us every animal we could have hoped to see and was incredibly knowledgeable about Kenya, patiently answering all our questions. Even after early starts and six-hour drives, his energy and motivation to give us the best possible experience never dropped.
What stood out most was how much he genuinely loves his job and does it with fairness and care. Despite spotting every animal on our list, he never pushed past other tourists in the parks or tried to put us ahead unnecessarily. He simply knew where to find the best sightings and got us there. Rather than startling the wildlife, he’d watch how the animals moved and position the vehicle perfectly, letting them approach naturally — which gave us the best possible photos.
He’s also an exceptionally careful driver, both inside and outside the parks. When another vehicle got stuck in the sand, he didn’t hesitate to help pull it out. Aron made this trip unforgettable.

Tips for Anyone Considering This Trip
• Pay everything online in advance so you don’t need to carry cash.
• Register for M-Pesa if possible — it makes tipping much easier.
• Wake up early more often; animals are most active in the morning.
• Choose lodges over hotels when you have the option.
• Mount Longonot can be climbed without a guide.
• During rest stops between parks, don’t just grab coffee at the gas station — cross the street and interact with locals. It’s worth it.
• Ask for Aron as your guide :)

We’d book this exact trip again without changing a thing.

We had an amazing safari with our guide, Aaron.
He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and always seemed to know exactly where to find the animals, thanks to both his experience and his excellent network with fellow guides.
He was always dedicated, professional, and treated nature with great respect.
I can highly recommend going on a safari with him. Seeing the Big Five had always been a dream of mine, and thanks to Aaron, that dream came true.
Thank you so much for these unforgettable experiences in Kenya!

An perfectly organized Safari with a brilliant guide
5/5

Overall, the safari was perfect. Our guide, Aaron, had an exceptional knowledge of the wildlife and knew exactly where to find the animals. We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five. It was truly a dream come true.

Aaron is also a very fair, friendly, and respectful guide and driver, both towards other guides and the park rangers. This definitely pays off during the safari, as he regularly receives helpful information from other guides and rangers about where animals have recently been spotted.

It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Aaron also does his very best to accommodate every request and make anything you suggest possible.

Samuel was very professional and sincere in giving us the best experience possible.
5/5

I recently completed a 5-day, 4-night safari tour with Ramble Africa Safaris, visiting Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli, and it was an unforgettable experience.

From the initial booking stage all the way to our arrival, Ramble's communication and reliability were exceptionally professional. Every single step of the process was smooth and well-organized. Furthermore, the accommodations they booked for us were top-notch and offered great value for money.

The 5-day itinerary was of an ideal length, allowing us to explore diverse and distinct ecosystems without any redundancy. Witnessing wildlife up close in their natural habitats was a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will cherish forever.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ramble Africa Safaris to anyone looking for a reliable and incredible safari adventure.

An unforgettable Kenya safari experience with excellent support
5/5

We had an amazing safari with Ramble Africq Safaris! It was truly an experience of a lifetime. We saw 4 of the Big Five, along with many other incredible animals, making every game drive exciting and memorable.

Everything was very well organized. The itinerary ran on time, everything happened as planned, and the hotels were generally very nice. We had a fantastic time throughout the trip.

The communication before and during the safari was excellent. Brian was always available on WhatsApp and responded very quickly, sometimes even late in the evening. It was very reassuring to know that we could reach him whenever we had questions.

One point of feedback concerns the hotel bookings. Our original quote included four specific hotels, and we decided to proceed with the booking based on that itinerary. However, by the time the booking was processed, three of the four hotels were no longer available, and we had to choose alternative accommodations. While the alternatives were good and we appreciate the effort to find replacements, it was disappointing as we had specifically been looking forward to the original hotels. It would be helpful if hotel availability could be confirmed or reserved before the itinerary is presented as final, or if the possibility of substitutions could be communicated more clearly from the beginning.

Overall, we had a wonderful safari experience and would definitely recommend Ramble Adrica Safaris to anyone planning a Kenya safari. The organization, communication, and overall experience made it a trip we will remember for a lifetime.

All good
5/5

In just a few days, Kenya gave us more than we ever dreamed of. Lions stalking through golden grass, elephants grazing so close we could hear their breath, and vast herds of wildebeest kicking up dust against a fiery sunset – every moment was pure magic. The sheer abundance and rawness of wildlife left us speechless. This wasn’t just a trip; it was a powerful reminder of nature’s grandeur.

None of this would have been the same without our guide, Aaron. His instinct for reading the bush is uncanny – he spotted a leopard’s tail from a mile away and anticipated a river crossing before the first zebra stepped into the water. He never rushed us, always adjusting the schedule so we could soak in every sight. His calm voice and deep knowledge turned each game drive into a story, not a checklist. He answered our endless questions with patience and shared fascinating details about animal behaviour, local culture, and conservation efforts. He even prepared chilled drinks during hot afternoons and found the perfect angles for our photos.

Aaron didn’t just show us animals; he made us feel the pulse of the savannah. We left with full memory cards but, more importantly, full hearts. If you’re heading to Kenya, ask for Aaron – he will turn your safari into a life‑changing adventure. Asante sana, Aaron. The wild will stay with us forever.

The perfect and unforgettable Africa experience.
5/5

An excellent experience for our first time in Africa. From the booking process, the guide service, and administration's attention. Everyone at Ramble was impecable; their goal was simple: make our African adventure be perfect and smooth in every aspect.

They adapted our needs and wishes to build a perfect itinerary, keeping our budget and wishlist as a priority. Since before landing we felt good and taken care of, BRIAN was always checking in on anything that we would need in our process. Our guide VICTOR was a 10/10, we've travel a lot, and guides like VICTOR are hard to find, he is excellence when it comes to quality and passion, we could feel how passionate he was on showing us the beauty of Africa with another perspective, where we were learning so much every day throughout our trip.

The Hotels and accommodation were picked perfectly for what we needed, all of the meals excellent, and the itinerary fit perfectly with what we wanted to see on our trip. There wasn't any better way for us to feel completely comfortable, it is the definition of only relaxing and enjoying the ride. We were able to just live the adventure of what an Africa Safari offers. (Ramble has a lot of inside tricks to get out the best of nature).

There are no remarks I could give to the service and experience we had. If you want to go on safari Ramble is the way to go. I am only eager to go back again, and when I do, I know for a fact that Ramble will be the first ones to call. Thank you BRIAN, thank you PAUL, and special thanks to VICTOR. You all have made possible our dream come true. Thank you Ramble!

Fantastic Kenyan safari experience
5/5

When booking, it was easily customisable to what we wanted and they were very transparent with the price. They followed the full itinerary as agreed. The guide Victor was absolutely excellent. He was very knowledgable about the wild animals, different landscapes and the history of Kenya. We would highly recommend the company and the guide Victor.
Additionally, they made my birthday week special by getting the hotel to do a little celebration for me. It was a beautiful moment.

We
5/5

Brian planned our safari exactly according to our wishes, from the airport pickup in Nairobi to our departure for the journey home. He invested an incredible amount of time, answered every special request and question, and was always extremely attentive. Communication via WhatsApp was outstanding—he replied almost immediately and always offered helpful suggestions and solutions. We honestly couldn’t have imagined a better contact person. He even checked in with us regularly during the safari and went the extra mile by arranging a restaurant reservation for our last day in Nairobi. From the very beginning of the planning process until our safe return home, we felt exceptionally well cared for.

Our guide, Victor, was truly outstanding. On our drives to the parks (Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli), he shared an amazing amount of knowledge about the country, its people, and its wildlife—there was nothing he didn’t seem to know. He was an excellent driver, and we always felt completely safe and comfortable in the car. He took care of every detail, stayed with us at the lodges until after check-in to make sure everything went smoothly, and was always punctual the next morning, ready with our lunches. Thanks to him, we had an incredible experience, saw the Big Five, and learned so much about Kenya. He consistently went above and beyond to make our trip truly unforgettable.

We can wholeheartedly recommend Ramble—especially Brian and Victor. It was an absolute joy to have them make our safari such a memorable experience!
