Promises luxury, struggles with delivery.
This review relates only to the service provided by the safari company in organizing our trip, not to the national parks, wildlife, or Kenya itself, which were all wonderful.
First, I would like to emphasize that our guide, John, was excellent. He was kind, professional, and did his best throughout the journey. Our dissatisfaction does not relate to him.
We booked an eight-day package that included the word “luxury” in its name. After receiving the offer, we accepted it and paid 50% within a few hours. Later the same day, we were informed that two of the four lodges included in the confirmed offer were not available. Having already paid, we felt we had little choice but to accept the proposed alternatives. We were particularly dissatisfied with one of the replacements.
Two days before departure, we were informed that yet another lodge was unavailable and were offered a different property, which again was not our preferred option.
Upon arrival at the airport, the agent who organized the trip arrived approximately 40 minutes late, which was quite exhausting after a long international flight.
The vehicle provided for the safari was operational but quite old and extremely noisy. Although this did not prevent us from completing the itinerary, it made long drives significantly more tiring than expected.
We also had the impression that the itinerary may not have been carefully planned in practice, as some activities were poorly distributed across the days, which resulted in adjustments having to be made during the trip.
The most disappointing aspect for us concerned included activities. One afternoon in Ol Pejeta, we did not have the scheduled game drive because, as we were told, there had been a misunderstanding regarding the validity of the park entrance tickets.
Additionally, although a visit to Hell’s Gate was clearly listed as included, we were initially informed that we would need to pay the entrance fee ourselves. After discussion, the company agreed to cover the cost. However, on the same day, the visit to Crescent Island, which was also clearly stated in the itinerary - was not organized.
Based on our understanding, this resulted in us missing activities with a combined value of several hundred dollars in park fees.
Overall, in our opinion, communication and organization were not at the level we expected, especially for a tour marketed as “luxury.” In our experience, the company was very efficient when it came to securing payment, but less consistent when it came to delivering the agreed services.
We had a memorable time in Kenya thanks to the parks and our guide, but from an organizational perspective, the experience fell significantly short of our expectations.

Legitimate, competent
This is a legitimate tour company .
We did a Kenyan safari in early August 2025. Jackson from Voyages of Magical Africa was our organizer. The arrangements for our stay and travel were very comfortable and good value for money . Our tour guide Simon was polite and punctual and helped sort out the occasional minor inconveniences during our trip.
Overall , a great experience.

Excellent safari experience, brilliantly organised
Myself and my husband chose Voyage to the Magical Africa to organise our Kenya safari.
Huge thank you to Jackson our tour operator and David our guide for giving us the best experience.
Trip brilliantly organised, top class hotels, very comfortable with transfers and meals included.
David made sure we get to see all of the wildlife from the best spots, we saw the great migration, the big five and much more.
Felt very welcome, safe, and simply had so much fun.

Exploratory Safari
The exploratory safari provided the ideal mix of cultural exploration and adventure. Robert led the way as we traveled to isolated areas of Kenya, where we saw breathtaking animals and interacted with the local populace. Jackson's excellent planning made sure we were taken care of at every turn.

Best Memories of Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru

Magnificent Family holiday
We had a long time dream of having a once in a life time holiday experience in the great Maasai Mara and Voyage to the Magical Africa made this possible.
From the planning to reservation process James was quite helpful and prompt as well. I appreciate his efforts to ensure all our needs were accommodated.
Our Camp Tipilikwani was amazing xand and the food was to die for.
We are greatful to our guide Jonathan who ensured we got see all the big five and alot of beautiful land scapes.
We will definitely book our next expedition with Voyage to the Magical Africa again in the near future!

Amazing trip to South coast.
I booked this trip on behalf of my family and the contact person was Jackson. He booked us in the luxurious Swahili Beach Resort between Dec 24-28 with visits to Wasini island and Shimba hills. Dani beach is beautiful. Every step of the trip was seamless. The hotel was luxurious with very hospitable staff.
This is a competent and transparent tour company. Recommended!

Perfect planning and execution
James from Voyage to the Magical Africa organised our 5 nights trip to Diani beach. It was a trip funded by our company for those that met their Quarter 3 sales targets. We were a total of 12 individuals. James suggested a number of quotes with different accommodations. After considering everything, we settled on Diani Sea Resort. It's a luxury hotel that provides an all-inclusive package and has all the amenities and facilities that can make your stay there comfortable and enjoyable. Everything from planning to execution was perfect and I take this opportunity, on behalf of my colleagues to thank James and Voyage to the Magical Africa for the amazing trip.

A committed tour operator
My classmates and I had an amazing trip to Diani beach organised Voyage to the Magical Africa. James was our point of reference and he made sure that the process of planning our trip was seamless. Their representative met us at Mombasa SGR terminus and transferred us to Baobab Beach Resort, which to our surprise exceeded our expectations in matters comfort and customer service. This was a girls only trip.
A trip to Wasini island was also organised by this amazing team and I lack words to describe their professionalism and customer service.

A very reliable and trustworthy tour operator
James and Team Voyage to the Magical Africa handled our 7 Day trip covering Amboseli, Tsavo parks and Diani beach to celebrate our 10th marriage anniversary. Their timely responses, relatively affordable price and a well thought out itinerary made my wife settle on them among the 6 companies we contacted.
