Adventurous
Having an adventure where your guide is well equipped with knowledge is top tier. The hospitality was excellent. The environment neat. Safety was not an issue because that was covered, so one would feel at ease. Gazing at the stars under the camp fire while barbecuing, listening to the hippos splash while in the ponds from a distance and listening to all the other animals making their sounds, makes one appreciate the different aspects of life offers. Wouldn't mind another trip to the place again. Thank you Khwai. Thank you African Big 5 Tours and Safaris. Until we adventure again together.

Our experience during our stay was nothing short of magnificent. The camping Sites were comfortable and well-situated , providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of adventure. The game drives were particularly exhilarating; we were fortunate to witness a diverse array of wildlife in their natural habitat, from graceful giraffes to majestic lions.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional team. Each member was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met. They were knowledgeable about the local wildlife and eager to share insights, which enhanced our overall experience. Super friendly and aims to please!
We had a very comfortable stay at African Big Five Tours and Safaris accommodation. The guide and owner Arnold was also able to organise mokoro rides and an evening game drive. He is super knowledgable and made an effort to track a leopard, and took us to the hyena den. 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommended
We were stranded at Kwai camp of African Big Five Tours & Safaris after we couldn’t get through to North Gate, and had a very pleasant stay there including a spectacular game drive which produced, amongst other game, a monster buffalo bull, a leopard with cub and two old elephant bulls. Nice, little camp with very private atmosphere, friendly staff and knowledgable, competent, helpful boss. A wonderful experience!

Professional and friendly
We had a fantastic stay at Arnold’s cottage. The location was perfect for an authentic experience, surrounded by nature and close to great wildlife areas. The amenities were excellent and made our stay very comfortable, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Arnold himself was an outstanding host—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. He also guided us on a game drive, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Even during the wet season, we were incredibly lucky to see a wide variety of animals, including a leopard!
He also went above and beyond by arranging a transfer for us from Mababe to Khwai in his own car due to the difficult road conditions, which we really appreciated.
Overall, a memorable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and immersive stay.

Once in a lifetime adventure
This was such a wonderful experience! I loved it so much that I wanted to stay longer but couldn't due to further travel plans. The travel was good, accommodation was fabulous and felt like being at home. What I loved the most was the level of professionalism and services from the guide, to the logistic planner, to the chef and housekeeping, so thank you to Arnold, Sam, Nelson, Alfred and Kotsi. We got to see animals, eat fantastic food and and rest in the evening around the fire. At night, the animals noise rocked us to sleep including the roaring lion at 4am 😂. It was so pleasant and peaceful. And omg the best banana bread! I hope to come back one day. Thank you again

An absolutely unforgettable experience
Absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our guide Nelson was fantastic — excellent driving skills, very safe, and we saw so many animals, especially a leopard!
The staff, including the cook, server, and especially the kind housekeeper, were amazing. Accommodation was comfortable in a peaceful place. Excellent communication, service, and value for money. Highly recommend!
