Motswari Reserve
4/5

I recommend Wild Africa Travel Company, as they were always providing great service, leading up to the big trip. The Safari in Motswari was better than I had expected; from the people working at the lodge and within the reserve itself, couldn't expect any better than what was provided by the great team at Motswari and Wild Africa Tours.

Hassle Free, great dining and close encounters with many wild animals!!!
4/5

Landed in one of the cold months, needed good wind barrier - warm garments early morning and night game drives - freezing in the morning. (The Guides etc had various blankets too aboard their vehicles..)! Left the vehicles to go on "foot" at a couple of places which definitely was a great experience .., got quite close to two Leopards on one occasion due to being quiet and down wind.. Simply fantastic to be there and see them approx 30 meters from where we stood! Saw many other animals too but the Leopards really will stay with me!!!
The food we had was great, dined on a different variety of meat each night, always a good selection of sides and puddings and at the places we stayed the service was second to none.
All our transiting to fro went without a hitch and well on time thanks to Robert...

Experience with Wild Africa
4/5

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Africa for the first time and as an overall experience it was very good. We were however disappointed with the travelling arrangements in South Africa. A min-bus is just not big enough for some one 195 cm tall. The Cullinan in Cape Town whilst a good place to stay for a short business trip is not really suitable for tourists. We were very disappointed with the Kigio Conservancy, so much so that we cut short our stay there and went into Nairobi at our cost instead. Also stated travel times in the itinerary for East Africa were nothing like the actual times taken. Apart from Kigio the service we received everywhere was first class.

Nice balance of cost vs benefit
4/5

Booking through Wild Africa Travel Company was pretty easy, and Robert Francis was responsive. The only confusion was around our flights into the Okavango Delta. The process was not clear and it was difficult to get a hold of anyone to help us sort it out (In Botswana). However, In WATC's defense, we had a moderately unusual self-drive itinerary and everything ended up going off without a hitch once we figured it out.

We thought that the adventure we booked with WATC was adequate and fun. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Odd Balls camp, especially because the manager 'Doc' who really was delightful and made our stay there especially enjoyable.

We are rating this with 4 stars, or 'good', because we don't necessarily know what would constitute 'excellent'. We have no real complaints. The price was right and it was well within our expectations.

Thank you, Robert Francis! Tell Doc we said hello!

Fulfilled our requests to the letter and even had great suggestions for better animal viewing venues
4/5

All the venues had great accommodation - dietary requirements were not past on to the venues and only one mix up with the room booking in four venues. Otherwise all safari sites exceeded our expectations with respect to viewing animals. Some very memorable camera moments that will last a lifetime including a coalition of male lions on a walking safari. Sleeping under the stars and the walking safari were definitely the highlights. We took the option to bus between one of the venues and it turned out to be the best decision ever with only cheetah sighting for the whole trip. Motswari and Rhino Walking Safari's were our choices and The Hide as a suggestion from Wild Africa Travel - a great place to get up 'really' close to animals.

Incredible
4/5

The first four and a half days of the camping safari were full of unique experiences being up close to the wild life that abounds in Northern Botswana. The guide, Rass and the cook were both very professional and experienced. Rass made the safari very rewarding with his intimeny knowledge of the animals and their behavior. This was especially valuabe on the third night when thre Lions came within 20 metres of our camp, chasing an Impala. Rass controlled the situation very well by giving clear instructions to all of the people on the Safari and maintaining our safety.
The other two and a half days were not so rewarding, with little wild life to see and long distances to travel.

Well organised mainly.
4/5

A few cliches with communication in Kenya, eg no welcome info at hotel , a couple on our tour not notified when we were due to depart on the day after our arrival so we were 3 hours late leaving , hence didn't arrive at our first lodge near Amboseli till 7.30 pm that day,. Issues with twin bed accomodation at some lodges for myself and friend. Tanzania excellent. Guides very good. Upgrades very good.

Very responsive, reasonably priced tours
4/5

Absolutely amazing safari experience! The company that Wild Africa contracted to run the safari was very professional and the guide was very knowledgeable.

Responsiveness to emails from Wild Africa was great.

The only criticism is that we were told that we should arrange separate transport to and from the Kasane Coffee Buzz for tour pickup (we were staying in vic falls before and after the tour) which we did however it turned out we could have been picked up from the border which would have saved money, time and hassle. We were advised by Wild Africa that border pickup was not recommended. We were a little disappointed with this as we found out that our tour guide was expecting us at the border so we could have done that.

Trip of a life time
4/5

This was our first time using Wild Africa Travel Company and i was impressed how smoothly our trip was. The information provided was clear and accurate.

I would not recommend the night safari as you didnt see much and the tour guide gave you the light to find the animals and unless you were a guide you dont know what you are looking for. Apart from that fully recommend and would use Wild Africa Travel again.
