“A Destination for the New Millennium Lake Mburo National Park” One day safari.
5/5

I personally love this park, its tiny yet very rich, our tour guide made it more enjoyable and certainly memorable. We set off to visit this little park with my companion, very close to Kampala city, Uganda.

At Lake Mburo National Park is a compact, yet with foot print activities; we were able to see the thorny savannah with acacia wooded trees with biggest herd of zebra, impala, eland, the majestic Giraffe and other animals. Our guide Emma with the help of the game ranger took us all around the park. The evening boat ride rewarded us with school of Hippos and numerous birds- the rare Shoebill stork. The nature trail led us to meet the pastoralist where we listened to their traditional music, with the gentle and appealing dance.

Late evening we returned to our Hotel in Kampala through the equator – we definitely wanted to carry not only the physical Uganda but also the beautiful artistic Uganda with us to America. Our vehicle was in a sound mechanical condition and the drive was the best.

Many thanks to Gloria who organized our tour from scratch, tirelessly communicated to us; the information was very helpful. I recommend Charis Uganda safaris, these people will give you value for your money.

“Uganda Unbeatable circuit safari “in the National Park circuit with Charis Uganda Safaris
I and my six home boys living in the US; set out to take for a months’ vacation in our motherland; I called up an old friend Gloria, who famished us with all the information on time; we zeroed to a 30 days tour which journeyed us through National parks - Kibale National Park via Albertine escarpment, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Bunyonyi, Mt Elgon- Sipi Falls; adventure in Jinja, Islands, city tour, religious tour, Uganda though geographically a small country yet very stunning with big peculiar scenic spots, rolling hills, fresh water lakes and rivers, captivating mountain landscapes, astonishing flora and fauna, varied cultures, vast wildlife, friendly people and above all good climate with tropical sunshine that makes it green almost throughout the year!
We concluded that this is the safari suitable for holiday makers who want to get a deeper insight into the current positive image of Uganda and enjoy a final untouched natural destination. Come and taste, see, smell, touch and share this beauty with friends. Family, colleagues.
Indeed Uganda is that virgin jungle that is worth visiting; who better than Charis Uganda Safaris to put together your “unbeatable circuit safari”. This company is so amazing, with very knowledgeable staff from office to field; however there is need to book in advance.

10 Days Memorable Jungle Honeymoon Safaris
5/5

Our extraordinary honeymoon trip with our ecstatic guide Axel, kicked off with cutting a cake, very emotional yet, beautiful, my heart was already touched by the hospitality in Uganda; my wife on the other hand could not hold back but tired with joy.

Axel met us at our Hotel in Serena, journeyed to Murchison Falls national park, our accommodation Paraa Safari Luxury Lodge; comfortable with the best facilities. The morning game drive was a reward we were able to see the cheetahs, the ‘big five’ under the beautiful friendly morning sun. The evening boat cruise to the bottom of the great clouds of spray splash rainbows across the sky that makes magnificent viewing, as we watched the animals come to water. The top of the falls was such a breath taking experience, watching the water literary splash on us- very romantic view.

Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal, Ndali Safari Lodge; early morning went for chimp tracking, see various primates in the natural jungle. We had a cozy walk with my darling in Bigodi swamps where we saw rare birds. Queen Elizabeth national park, wow the concentration of wildlife coupled with the beauty of Mweya peninsula just fitting to our honeymoon… Praise God for what the nature here offers. The Mweya Safari Lodge with its facilities that include executive suites and a magnificent swimming pool make the hotel a target of honeymoon, evening game drive; the launch cruise on Kazinga Channel: rewarding. In the morning as we were leaving the park there was the spectacular site of the tree climbing lions resting on the trees.

The other activity that blew our minds was tracking which brought face to face with the gentle giant – the gorilla (Our friendly and knowledge guide told us it’s locally called so here) in Bwindi Forest National Gorilla Park- tremendously delightful!, our accommodation was in Gorilla Forest Resort Camp. Visit to the Batwa – the pygmy’s community’s walk; my mate encouraged me to get involved in the cultural dance, listening to their history and livelihood experiences. Axel our experienced guide drove us back to Kampala, leisurely, carrying the amazing imprint of the of the true jungle honey moon.

Charis Uganda Safaris is certainly that company that can make ones honeymoon or any other safaris that will leave memorable stories - thank you very much; we would recommend this company over and over.

“A skilled tour company worth to recommend - indeed they will walk you into befriending Africa’s jungle and culture”

I send an E-mail to Charis Uganda Safaris, desiring to undertake a 9 day Uganda / Rwanda tour for our family of 10; big thanks to Gloria who responded to us immediately, furnished us with all the necessary information she paid attention to our needs and responded to our mails on time.
We had a knowledgeable, friendly and experienced driver – Pacific; despite the long drives and bad patches of road, he remained well poised, ensured that our vehicle was in a good mechanical condition and clean. Pacific leased with game rangers who pointed us to the gentle giants – the mountain Gorilla feeding their babies in Bwindi, such a beautiful site – the challenge trek was worth it.; the tree climbing lions alongside their little ones in the Queen Elizabeth - Ishasha sector and the site of a leopard giving birth were all thrilling. We were privileged to see most wildlife including the Chimpanzee; I am still too excited that talking about Rwanda would take the whole day.
Charis chose excellent accommodations for our team; we nearly asked for an extension for the trip, however needed to return to duty and school.
The trip was fabulous, the hotels as described and my itinerary was executed exactly as planned. We had an amazing, “once in a lifetime memorable safari”.
I can only acclaim “Charis Uganda Safaris Ltd” on their professionalism and friendliness and would without hesitation recommend them to others wanting to experience this unique region.
Thank you dear Gloria & Team

Despite the patches of bumpy road- he kept us up-to-date, as well as entertained. Wow the custom built van was very comfortable, clean and in a good state. The lodges Cassia Lodge, Primate Lodge, Top View Hill Hotel were well chosen. The boat launch in Queen Elizabeth rewarded us with what Emma called the school of hippos, alongside, buffalos, crocodile’s elephant, and a range of beautiful birds, eminent – the white pelican-, bathing. 5/5

It was hard to imagine we were leaving memories, stunned by their premier service and experience provided by Charis Uganda Safaris Ltd; our expert, friendly and trusted -Emmanuel, quickly became a part of our team. The trip rewarded us seeing innumerable animals, we were stunned by tree climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National park-Ishaha area. We traversed the virgin savanna grasslands, patched with tea plantations. The crown of our safari was meeting the gigantic upland Gorilla, watching this animal devour the grass, alongside their babies; an incredible experience. Our guide kept close communication with the park ranger who pointed us to a leopard feeding her cabs, a sight never to forget. We had another treat at the Murchison falls, seeing many animals including the elephants, hippos, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, a range of birds of prey and many more in their jungle environment. Our team is very grateful and thank members of Charis for your services.

Family trip
5/5

Being a busy parent sometimes you just want to get away from the hectic schedules and demands of life and spend time with loved ones especially children and just being. However being a parent means that even out of work you still have to plan, organize and manage even holidays. Spending time away from hectic schedules was not bound to happen until a chance contact with Gloria who offered to organize a full-board tour to lake Mburo National Park, western Uganda. All i needed was to be there and take time with the children. It was hard to believe as previously planned road trips organized by myself always ended in frayed, tangled knotted nerves and every child more stressed than relaxed. The offer was appealing and being a lover of road trips I decided to give it one try before the next busy phase of my life. Charis Uganda Safaris never gave me an opportunity to regret the decision and it was worth every moment and penny. Thank you Charis and Gloria for making this trip a memorable bonding moment with family.
