4 days safari tour
With our guide Zabdi we drove to first from Moshi via Arusha to the Lake Manyara NP.
Day 2 we visited the Ngorongoro Crater.
At the 3. day we were hiking near Mto Wa Mbo. We went by our local Guide Bruno. Later we cooked with two women a delicious local meal. A great experience. After cooking Bruno show us his hometown, it was very interesting.
At the last day, we went to the Tarangire NP.
During the safaris, we saw many, many animals and beautiful landscapes. It was a great adventure with nice guides, of which we could learn a lot.

Our experience with Twende Africa Tours was great! They’re very serious and professional.
I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with my partner and the Twende team was amazing. From preparing food daily, to supporting us during the hikes and summit day. The vibe was always great!
The team was very transparent and communicative, and respected our physical limits - safety was always a priority. We had several conversations during the hike and it was a great way to learn more about the local culture.

Excellent Local Company For Kili Trek
My experience with Twende's owner Peter and rest of the team was nothing short of excellent! Peter is a great person who from get go was very responsive. My trip had to be postponed by a year and Peter assured that my money will be safe with him whenever i am ready to travel.
Through the 6 days of hike, Guide Eli was an excellent company. Very friendly, knowledgeable and always looking out for my needs and comfort. Other members of the team also deserve mention for their roles and activities in making my hike a successful and highly enjoyable one. As a solo female traveller i highly recommend Peter/Twende Africa. I am very happy that i chose Twende Africa for this trip and was able to support a local, small business.
Always there to meet your needs
We booked the 6-day Kilimanjaro trek with Twende based on a recommendation from a friend, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. After comparing offers from several tour operators, we found Twende provided great value for money. Communication with Peter was seamless—he proved to be incredibly reliable and responsive, patiently answering all of our many questions. His advice was invaluable and played a key role in our successful summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The entire team was exceptional. They felt more like a family, always supporting and helping one another. We truly felt fortunate to have them by our side, and we’re certain we couldn’t have reached the summit without them.
SUMMIT WITH TWENDE
I cannot sing enough praises for Peter and his team on our adventure of hiking Kilimajaro via Lemosho. From the very beginning, Peter was very prompt in answering all our questions and guiding us on what to expect on the journey.
We were a group of 4 including 2 fifteen year olds.
Baraka and Kalvin were our lead guides. They always made sure we were comfortable and set a comfortable pace for the journey. They were extremely patient knowledgeable. Every night we had a briefing of what the expect for the next day. Daily monitoring of our oxygen levels and heart rates.
Shout out to our cook and waiter (Richie and David). I had previously read on blogs that we should be carrying our own hot sauces – Not with this chef. Full breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner + snacks for the road! Not one meal was repeated – and with a taste that can beat any established restaurant. The soups were the best. David made sure we were eating well to build stamina.
The soul of our team were the porters, these guys know – and I’m not exaggerating, every rock in the terrain. They would pack up after we left for our hike, beat us to the next camp, have everything setup before we reached with hot meals ready to serve. Some porters would also make the trek back towards us, to take our backpacks and lighten the load – they operate as one team. When you see them going up and down these steep terrains, with the amount of weight on their backs, your own achievement of summitting becomes very humbling – they do it day in and day out.
Baraka and Kalvin kept up a pace that was comfortable for us on summit night - with constant encouragement. We also had 2 extra summit porters to assist on the hike, and we could not have done it without them. Us coming from sea-level, carrying even 5 pounds on top the heavy clothing you’re wearing feels like carrying 40 pounds.
Twende ensured that we tasted success and would not have been possible without the entire team. Would highly recommend Twende for your Kili Hike - Best of all, they are a local company and they treat everyone well!!!
