A Safari with Tim Brown Himself
I booked the ‘Hluhluwe Imfolozi “Big 5” Game Reserve and St. Lucia – 2 Days/1 Night Safari’ with Tim Brown Tours for myself and two others. While planning this trip, I reached out to the several tour operators in Durban that offer such tours to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Tim Brown Tours immediately stood out. Praised on the Internet, the company’s excellent reviews promised a great experience.
From the planning process to the time of booking, I received nothing but outstanding customer service from Tim Brown Tours. Communication was never an issue—the staff at Tim Brown Tours replied to my emails in a timely fashion and made sure to address each question, comment, and concern.
We felt very privileged to have Tim Brown himself as our guide for the tour. Tim’s friendly, welcoming personality and energy radiated from the moment he greeted us in Durban. Conversations were easy—we shared the same sense of humor. Most importantly, Tim is incredibly passionate. It was evident that he loves his job, which made the experience even better for us. During the long drives, Tim kept us informed with bits and pieces of the area’s history and other information. He is very knowledgeable, and was able to answer all of our questions without any hesitation. We learned so much during our two days with Tim. Meanwhile, he made sure that we were comfortable throughout the trip—he was very attentive to our needs and requests. I was astonished by the level of service we received from Tim. He really was determined to provide us with the best experience possible. Such a great guy.
Overall, Tim was a delightful guide and lived up to (and exceeded) my expectations. I highly recommend Tim Brown Tours.

A fantastic day out with a great guide
We had a day trip to Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift and it was a stunning day out
Our guide Sheldon was a wealth of knowledge and his descriptives of both battles was superb
A very moving day and to be actually walking around the said battlefields was a great experience

Made memories with Tim Brown Tours
Excellent communication regarding the experience our trip was exactly what I expected. Kyle our driver had a really good knowledge base and knew exactly where to take us for the best sittings of the animals. He also looked after us and checked everything was OK for us in our lodge and ensured we had frequent stops for coffee and lunch. We were picked up on time and had total confidence in Kyle as our driver.

Amazing
Our safari experience was amazing. It was basically like getting two tours in one. Tim Brown conducted our safari tour and he gave us all of the history behind Durban on the way to the game reserve. I learned so much about Durban in such a short time period and was very thankful.
We did the one day safari and we were lucky. We were able to see 4 of the big 5 in one day. It was amazing. We saw a lot of animals just in the morning and after lunch, we were able to see much more. Tim was so nice and accommodating. I will recommend all of my friends to him in the future and if/when we return to Durban, we will try the longer safari.

We had a fantastic safari.
Our Safari Guide, Sibo, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us elephants, rhino, giraffes, zebra plus different types of antelope. We had a fabulous day.

3 Day Tour of Lions Valley and Zulu Battlefields
We did a Day Tour with Tim a few years ago and because of his excellent service we decided to use Tim for our 3 Day Safari from Durban with friends. We left the Amsterdam World Cruise and flew from Maputo to Durban. Tim arranged our transfer to the Protea Hotel and picked up our Group of 6 at 7:30 am for our Transfer to Lions Valley Lodge outside Ladysmith. Since we also wanted to visit the Anglo-Zulu Battle Fields near Ladysmith, Tim strongly recommended Lions Valley Lodge. He was correct!! This Lodge is excellent and they accommodated our leaving the Lodge after a morning Game Drive and before the evening Drive so Tim could take us to see Rorke's Drift Battlefield. Tim arranged for a Historical Guide Specialist for this Tour. Tim also arranged for an excellent Game Driver at Lions Valley. After our Safari Tim drove us to the Durban Airport with plenty of time for our BA flight to Cape Town so we could rejoin our Amsterdam World Cruise. We highly recommend Tim for excellent Tours in South Africa! We have done over 6 Safaris and Tim is not only an excellent Safari Guide, he is an exceptional value with service as good as the A&K Safaris we have taken!

Tim really took care of us and made our Safari a real treat
Communications with Tim for the entire year before our trip was excellent. He kept us fully informed of all the arrangements and any possible snags (such as arriving in Mozambique.) While we were there he took excellent care of us. He was always informative and when talking about the past and current problems in South Africa he did so in a fair and unbiased manner. His knowledge of the area and the Safari world was superb. And he was just a nice guy and good to be around. Can't recommend him enough.

SHAKALAND - Worth going and experiencing
I booked with Tim day tour to Shakaland to learn and experience the Zulu cultures, traditions, history and the great icon King Shaka, love it so much. It was fun and I was in awe the whole time in Shakaland. The guide from Tim Tours are very informative, helpful.If you are in Durban I recommend you 100% to book a tour with Tim to Shakaland. The Zulu dances show are energetic and entertaining, Can't get enough~
