Wonderful experience from beginning of booking until end of trip!
5/5

My two adult daughters and I traveled on a custom itinerary in September 2018. After comparing prices and services of multiple safari companies in Uganda, we chose booking with Brian and GoExplore Safaris. We chose this company because of the range of services, the cost, and Brian's excellent communication. I told him what our needs and interests were and he made sure he included all that we were hoping for. GoSafari prices were comparable to other companies but what stood out with me the most was that Brian, owner and tour operator, communicated quickly, efficiently and welcoming before, during and after the trip. Although he was not our driver for the trip, he met us at the airport in the middle of the night with Moses, who would be our driver for the week, which was a nice touch. Brian also continued to check on us throughout the week, making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Moses, our driver, was superior in all ways. He was knowledgeable, calm, a great driver, and always made sure we were taken care of, safe, and punctual for anything that we were scheduled for. We were in very good hands with Moses and Brian. Brian and Moses both get 5 plus star ratings for everything they did for us.
We traveled to Murchison Falls, QE National Park, Kibale NP, Bwindi Imp. Forest, did rhino trekking, chimp and gorilla trekking, took 2 boat trips, visited an orphanage, school and communities (something we requested) and much more and stayed in accommodations with beautiful views. It's unbelievable that we saw and experienced so much of Uganda in 9 days. It's amazing we were able to do it for the price as well.
I would recommend, without reservation, this company and it's employees. It truly was a trip of a lifetime and an enjoyable, learning experience.

A whirlwind 12 days in Kenya and Uganda!
4/5

When planning our safari and gorilla tracking trip, everyone at GoExplore was super responsive. They answered all our questions and modified our itinerary until we were completely happy with it. Logistics moving between many different locations were virtually seamless and every lodge we stayed at was breathtaking.

GoExplore put together a fantastic 5 day trip to Uganda in a very short period of time!
5/5

I was working with a tour operator out of Kenya to plan a Uganda gorilla trek followed by a Kenya & Tanzania safari. For some reason, the Uganda portion started having issues with only a few weeks to go. Enter Brian Ahereza of GoExplore. Wow! Talk about fast acting and excellent service. Within 1 day, Brian arranged everything. The only thing that would have made my trip better is if I had added one extra day, but by this point, we couldn't squeeze it in, so Brian did the absolute best with what he had to work with.

For starters, one of the best things that could have happened did! ANd that was to have Charles assigned as our driver/guide. We flew into Kigali, Rwanda and Charles met us at the airport and took us to our hotel. The next morning we got up for the long drive to the Nkoringo area of Bwindi. A lot of this drive is on some VERY difficult dirt roads and Charles was masterful at navigating the terrain. Furthermore, I was using offline Google Maps to track our location and there is no possible way I could have gotten to where Charles was going.

We got to Nkoringo Lodge and immediately loved it. Brian had arranged for us to have one of only 2 rooms there that had on demand hot water. Our room overlooked Bwindi and we sat on the deck admiring the view. To get to the bar/dining area, we hiked up and over a ridge and the view from that side was south to the 3 volcanoes on the border of Uganda/Rwanda/Congo - absolutely beautiful!

The next day we did the trek to the Nkuringo gorilla group. It was not a difficult trek until we had to cross a fast flowing stream because the gorillas had gone to that side and as soon as we crossed, they came back! So we did too. And then we found them and it was such a wonderful experience! My wife was standing next to me and a young male (7-8 years old??) suddenly turned and started walking towards us. My wife moved to the left, but our guide said to stand still. The gorilla walked right between us and as he passed, he stuck out his arm between my legs and grasped me around the thigh!!! OMG! Even though I could feel his amazing power, I did not feel in danger. Just as quickly, he let go and continued walking!

After that amazing trek, we drove (another long day) up to Queen Elizabeth National Park and spent 2 nights at the Buffalo Safari lodge. We did a couple of games drives in which we saw lots of antelope, elephants, buffalo and 6 lions (all female, with one or two young males). We followed with a boat ride on the Kazenga channel which was fantastic. The next day, we drove to Kibale National Park to look for Chimps. We arrived at our wonderful lodge, the Chimpanzee Forest Guest House at about lunchtime and then headed to Kibale for our Chimp Trek. At lunch, we met a couple who showed us amazing pictures from their trek that very morning. Unfortunately for us, even with 7 groups in the forest, we could only find 2 chimp sand they were up in the trees. That happens in nature, but the real lesson is to take the morning trek!!!

The next day, Charles drove us to Entebbe and our Uganda trip was over. One of my friends asked me about the birds in Uganda. My wife loves birds and by extension, I have come to love them as well. SHe asked Charles, our guide, about every single bird we saw. Charles had a very well worn copy of "Birds of East Africa". He didn't need that book because he had it memorized. Charles was a fantastic driver/guide/person! He made our trip incredibly special!

I can't thank Brian, Charles and GoExplore enough for making this so special!!!

This new safari company goes above and beyond to give you a unique and incredible experience!
5/5

This safari company exceeded all of my expectations. Brian and Chris were amazing guides going way beyond what was in the itinerary to show me local villages, peoples and unique landscapes in addition to showing me all the amazing wildlife found in QE National Park. Chris was a very knowledgeable guide and while I myself am a biologist, learned a lot from him about local wildlife and plants. Beyond that, Brian and Chris took great care of me even going so far as to take most of my pictures for me so that I was free to just focus on the experience! The driving was excellent, the food great and the accommodation superb. I would fully recommend this safari company as they are wonderful guides that will give you a really unique experience for a great price. Thanks to both Brian and Chris!

Absolutely incredible
5/5

GoExplore Safaris was absolutely incredible, even from the initial communication. They were prompt in responses were willing to change things time and time again while we were deciding what to do. They were patient and were very caring with best recommendations. My own 2 favorite parts of the trip were the things they recommended that I did not even know about and our driver Chris was so well versed with the entire place making us feel very safe

The trip started with Chris (our guide) picking us up from the Airport He was friendly and on-time and we really enjoyed our time with him. He was interested in getting to know us and was always giving us great information on the things we saw. He kept us fed and was really a lot of fun!

GoExplore Safaris recommended us we do the Chimpanzee sanctuary in Budongo Forest as well as the Rhino sanctuary in Ziwa. Both were absolutely incredible on foot up close experiences that I will never forget. They were incredible neat locations and both had a good cause worth our support. Please if you would like to go to Uganda don’t look further just contact Brian of GoExplore he has firsthand information regarding planning tours around Uganda we surely will recommend you to our friends wanting to travel to Uganda.

Excellent Uganda experience
5/5

We had an amazing experience traveling across Uganda with GoExplore Safaris. All the arrangements were exceptional. Brian and Mozes took care of all our needs and made our trip amazing. This was a mother/daughter trip and initially I was worried about if it is going to be safe or not. All my fears were put to rest when our guide met us at the airport. The only thing we would have done different is, we should have flown from park to park as the distance by road was long and bumpy. We went to almost all national parks and the highlight offcourse was Chimp and Gorilla tracking. We had an amazing time at Kideppo National park where it felt like we had the entire park to ourselves compared to the crowd in other parks. The property we stayed in was amazing and had some spectacular views to nature and wildlife

Well organized, great communication, guides are personable and knowledgable
5/5

GoExplore (Brian) provided a magical memorable trip for us to Rwanda. From our first communication via email and whatsapp, they were able to layout an itinerary that fit our needs. They delivered on all aspects of the trip. The 3 guides we met in various locations were just outstanding. It was my wife's birthday and I mentioned that and at each dinner we ended up with a cake and the staff singing. We were so appreciative. I would tell others to use them without hesitation.

Amazing time in Uganda with the GoExplore team
5/5

My family and I were super happy with the 13 day safari trip we booked with GoExploreSafaris!! We can highly recommend the team for their professional approach starting from the communication before the trip (per email and chat) to the actual on road experience. Brian taylored the trip to our needs and joined us as guide throughout the journey. All the lodges he suggested were excellent and the timing of the daytrips was very well planned. Our driver Charles was reliable, friendly and we felt safe in his car at all times. We could not believe Uganda has so much variety in flora and fauna! Just amazing!
