Very professionnal and warm welcoming staff.
Great experience with Natureways Safaris. The whole trip was a success and we've learned a lot on the fauna and flora thanks to the professionnalism of the very knowledgeable guides. I was also specially amazed that every single day, the food was tailored for me to fulfill my gluten free dietary. Well done!

The most informative and expertly conducted tour I have ever undertaken.
The pickup from Rockmerchie Camp was well marshalled and expertly commenced, the onward safari exceeded all expectations and the competence and knowledge of the guides was superb. The establishment of the evening camps at the end of each day were a joy to be involved in and ALL the staff were extremely friendly and sensitive to all our wants. The whole trip was expertly marshalled by Mark the lead guide and his assistant Campbell and the evening meal conversations were invigorating and amusing at all times besides being informative on a variety of subjects ranging from history to mechanics with all the party involved.

Let's dive into the magic
Natureways Tamarind Canoe Safari can't be described in few sentences, but I'll try. The exeprience is permeated by a supernatural atmosphere, that I have never even imagine to experience. It's really just you and nature: the river, bird singing and animals. Paddling through the small channels is one of the highlights, to the extent that we named a channel "paradise channel", since it really matched with our concept of Eden. Besides the wonderful natural experience it provides, the guides are wonderful and gentle people, with true experience, knowledge, love for their job, and even surprising cooking skills! The camp-equipment was nice and quite new, and we also felt safe on the stable canoes. We will undoubtedly reccomend Natureways Tamarind Canoe Safari to every nature-and-adventure-loving person!

I have lived the dream!
My life time of expectations of the canoe trip from Chirundu to Mana Pools with my son were blown out of the water by our Natureways Tamarind Safari. 'The Dream Team' of Norman and Takesure (TK) and the rest of the Natureways team made our experience unforgettable and no doubt unbeatable.
Norman and TK's knowledge and passion in regards to the "Great Zambezi" and Flora and Fauna developed from a young age, learning from their fathers who had been rangers at Mana Pools, was infectious. It did not stop there, TK's culinary skills were incredible and I will never forget gazing up at the brilliant night sky whilst sipping the fine SA wine provided with our meals as TK talked us through constellations and the history of the incredible Zimbabwean people.
In Norman and TK's hands we felt safe every minute of the way as we enjoyed an accelerated course in paddling, stearing clear of Hippos, staying on beautiful islands, amazing sunrises and sunsets, watching and listening to the sounds of wildlife. Our nights were spent on islands with nobody else around. We slept in open dome tents with the stars as our backdrop and the noise of the wild, including two Lion and a Hyena visiting our campsite as we lay rigid. This is Africa
in the raw, well out of the normal comfort zone and thrilling. During the day we would stop for regular breaks and have a lunchtime siesta to avoid the heat.
The distance covered by this safari is 75 km allowing time take in the peace and tranquillity of the truly untouched African wilderness ending in Mana Pools National Park, which is a World Heritage Site. The remarkable bird and game life (everything here but Giraffe and, sadly Rhino) seen on this section of the Zambezi is superb as the flood plains offer wildlife an extraordinary sanctuary. Bizarrely, Zimbabwe has just granted a prospecting and exploration licence to mine for heavy mineral sand deposits here.
I have done a few walking and vehicle safaris -they just can't compare to a safari on a canoe. It was an exciting and adventurous trip of a life time which I would recommend to anybody. Norman and TK are really great guides and people and my son and I enjoyed and were privileged to share the time with them, it was wonderful.

A salve for the soul
The trip was once again outstanding. The guides are of the highest order. The equipment totally acceptable. Nothing is to much trouble including dealing with the needs of vegetarians amongst other complexities. They are a joy to deal with and a joy to spend time with

Fantastic Zambezi canoe safari
The whole tour was fantastic! It was well organized by the Natureways team and their qualified and multi-skilled guides. A good mix of safari experience, exercise (the paddling) and fun.
We definitely can recommend Natureways to anyone who is considering a canoe safari.

Wonderful time in Zimbabwe
I spent 8 days with Natureways in July: First 4 Days on the Zambezi (Tamarind Canoe Safari) and then 4 Days in Mana Pools. Everything was organized perfectly by Natureways – pre- and during the trip. Our guides on the canoe safari (Julius and Kambel) were very skilled and our safety was their priority. It was a wonderful and fun experience. Mana Pools was one of my highlights of the whole vacation. The camp was set up at a stunning spot! The team on site was professional, friendly and a pleasure to be around; I especially appreciated the kitchen crew – they made the most delicious meals for us (on fire)! We spotted amazing wildlife on the walking safaris thanks to our guide James Varden; I was particularly impressed by his knowledge and respect for nature.

Mana Shoreline Canoeing - Unbelievably wonderful trip!
This was our first trip to Africa and first safari. All our expectations were exceeded. Our guides, Mark and Campbell, were excellent. Their knowledge, skill, patience and humor made for fun and interesting days. Canoeing with hippos was way outside our comfort zones but they made it a trip of a lifetime. The food was great - thank you for the extra effort to provide vegetarian meals and snacks. Each camp was well organized, unique and beautiful. And the Zambezi River...magnificent.

Great safari experience
Our safari was an adventure that we hope to repeat again. Our guides were engaged and knowledgeable, and the team attentive. A perfect safari experience for a lover of nature, and a person that enjoys the serenity of nature. Paddling around the hippos adds a bit of excitement- as they are temperamental.
