Review about Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours - Zimbabwe (Botswana and Zambia)
On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka.
After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River.
Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing").
On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls.
From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings.
The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare.
I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors.
I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks.
I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka.
I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe.

Relaxing, pampered stay, with incredible views of wildlife
The Hide was fantastic! Their food was excellent and plentiful. Loved the breakfast boxes on morning safari, and so grateful for warm porridge before. Hot water bottles were essential for cold July nights, and the fire pit was also super. N'Khosi was excellent as a guide, very experienced and knowledgeable. The safari truck was lovely and new.
The driver from Victoria Falls was polite and helpful. The van... Was ok. A bit worn, and the road between Victoria Falls and Hwange is bumpy and long. Wish we'd known what we were getting into with that! Over all a terrific experience, however.

We had a good time in the jungle
We had great time in game watching some wild animals. The breakfast on the Zambezi was the perfect time for us

Efficient, thoughtful, professional, excellent and helpful
Just home from a wonderful holiday at the Victoria Falls. Our holiday was arranged by Tongesai Mutematsaka of Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours based in Zimbabwe. The trip was superb. We stayed at Victoria Falls Safari Lodges and our last night at the Victoria Falls hotel. Our accommodation was very comfortable and overlooked a water hole frequented by bushbuck, impala, warthogs, monkeys and baboons. The cuisine was excellent and staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Our driver and guide John Matumbura (he runs The Cyclonic Tours) was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and made our visit a delightful occasion. Tongesai himself ensured that everything ran smoothly. Every excursion, visit or activity was first rate. Any questions or worries that we had were immediately dealt with and resolved.
We would highly recommend Tongesai and his company Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours (www.cultural-vibes.com) to anyone wanting a perfect experience in the Victoria Falls area.

Professional.
I did the village experience and it was okay. We visited one family and it felt a little intrusive instead of immersive. We were only there for 30 minutes. I heard of other travelers getting to try local food and have a more immersive experience. While it was nice seeing their way of life, I think it was a bit pricey for what we received.

Posted on Feb 12, 2024Dear Esmeralda Sierra
Thank you very much with the review received, do appreciate your view but would like to explain the costing of the tour so that you understand. I do understand that you booked on Viator or Tripadvisor your tour who charge 22% for all the bookings we get from them meaning that from the $60.00 you paid in total we will receive $46.80 from them around the 10th of every following month. From the $46.80 you witnessed me paying $20.00 in total for the tour experience that we remained we with $26.80 and then we deduct $16.00 for transfers to go and come back from the village. The remaining profit from the village tour you booked is $10.80, would that really be what you are saying we overpriced to make you write review saying we overpriced the tour. If you were to taste meals you were supposed to book the a local lunch experience which cost $25.00 per person. May you and to book your tours directly with local operators so that you avoid other hidden commission which will make you feel reaped off at the end of the day. We only do some of these tour as a way of promoting our local culture and also to help the villagers.
