Gifts of the Kalahari: an experience in the experience
We are a family with 2 girls (17 and 14 years old) and we spent 11 days in Botswana with Lucky and his team (Marusa, Jacob, Norman). We really appreciated their job. Marusa, a great Chef, I couldn't believe what he managed to cook in such a difficult situation. Jacob a very nice person ready to help and solve whatever. Norman great as well. A special team, never tired, always smiling.
Lucky ... our guide. Where to start from: he knows the bush, he knows the animals, he knows the tourists. So he knows very well his job and it's very clear that he loves it. I think that this is the secret.
But let's start from the beginning: the definition of the safari. He was patient and polite also after 20 emails I wrote him before leaving.
During the safari, he feels the bush: the rumors, the bird's sound, the movements in the grass, the tracks. He knows very well animal's behaviour. He knows where to go, where to stop for a picture, the best place to stay when 5 jeeps are close the lions. He wants the best for its clients and he knows what the clients want. He's incredible with birds as well and I'd also strongly suggest him for photographic safari. I'd also strongly suggest for families: your sons will live much more than a safari.
Me, my husband and my girls will never, ever, forget the evenings at the fire when Lucky was telling us the stories about him and his uncle in the bush. Lucky is not a bushmen (he never lived in the bush), but his uncle was a bushmen. With no doubt I'd say that Lucky is a "bushmen inside". My daughter wrote down his stories in her diary...
These 11 days staying with them, were an experience inside an experience. I suggest you to go and be ready to fully live it.

Of the three weeks in Botswana and Zambia the few days in Savuti with Lucky of Gifts of the Kalahari we the most impressive. He showed us the lions, elephants and a lot of other animals, knew their stories. He also had great knowledge about birds and the park itself. During the evening he told us wonderful stories about how he became a safari guide. We shared meals and felt like being a family during these days. The simple camping life made it an unforgettable experience. It exceeded expectations.

Once in a lifetime experience
I've recentely ended a wonderful trip in Botswana with my wife and Mr. Lucky from Gifts of The Kalahari accompanied us for a 11D/10N safari. We spotted all the wildlife one could imagine and we saw breathtaking landscapes from Okawango delta to Victoria Falls to Nxai Pan. Mr. Lucky together with Nicor (the chef) and Jacob (the camp assistant) gave us an unforgettable trip, this was our very first camping safari experience but I would definitely recommend it to all the people looking for a true and authentic african escape.

Beautiful Safari Experience
A trip to the heart of the bush, made unforgettable by our guide Lucky who, tireless and very expert of places, has accompanied us in this exciting adventure. The professionally guided Safari in the Okavango Delta was a tremendous experience with wild animals

The profound knowledge of the tour guide made this adventure an unforgettable experience with the wild life of the Okavango Delta. Not only the guide was excellent, the cook that was always present, full of energy and fantastic kulinary ideas and experience spoiled us with excellent cooked food and good stories. Also his assistant was extremely friendly and efficient in helping everyone and everywhere in the camp. We can highly recommend to book a Safari with “Gifts of the Kalahari”.

We did the 3 night Kwai safari and mokoro boat.
For the booking the communication was always very fluent and I didn’t have any problem at all, neither with the payment nor with the information required.
During the safari it was a perfect experience! Olí was a perfect guide who didn’t get tired of looking for all the animals and giving all the explanations!!
Bakra was a perfect chef. Every meal was a moment to enjoy because the level was very high.

‘Lucky For Us’
We love Luckyand GoTK! In 2016, a group of four of us enjoyed a magical 6 days of mobile safari camping with Lucky and his team of three. So when returning to Botswana in 2018, we booked Gifts of the Kalahari before we did anything else.
Nine days this time. Three nights in each of Kwai, Savute and Ihaha and again, we were treated to great food, friendly staff and magical game sightings. But not only did we have sightings, we also learnt so much about the wildlife we were seeing.
The tents and stretchers are comfortable and this time we had our own ‘ensuite’, short drop toilet and bucket shower...luxury.
If you like adventure, have a sense of fun and humour, and don’t mind being ‘out in the bush’, with lions roaring and hyenas wandering by, GoTK is the tour company for you.

Unforgettable safari in Botswana
I spent 6 days in Botswana with my family. First we did a safari in Khwai Concession where there was the tented campsite and then in Xobega island on the Okavango Delta. Everything has been very well organized. Our guides were very professional and nice, they showed us all the beauties of wild nature and shared with us many stories about nature and wild animals.
It has been such an amazing experience. I strongly recommend it!

Gifts of the Kalahari is the company run by excellent guide Lucky. He is amazing in spotting animals, and eventhough I've been on safari tours before, with Lucky I saw some species I've never seen before. He has excellent skills and knowledge about bushlife and always redy to share it.
