Magnificent mobile safari due to excellent staff and authentic experiences for a fair price.
5/5

Our family of four including two young adult sons, aged 19 and 21, thoroughly enjoyed our brief immersion in the Botswana bush. Naga Safaris accommodated our scheduling needs taking full advantage of our six day excursion with morning and afternoon game drives that provided close encounters with a wide variety of wildlife. KG was a most excellent guide as he is terribly knowledgeable and fully prepared for any challenge. He is a wonderfully gregarious personality who tells a great story. He also read our family well and was comfortable with quiet time for reflection and recuperation. The rest of the staff was professional and hard working and made our experience completely enjoyable.

What makes the difference between a good and an excellent safari?
5/5

Both of them put security first. As very occasional tourists in the bush, we have an incorrect perception of danger and a safari can quickly turn into a tragedy. So better avoid lightly trained or too confident guides that might put your life at risk without you realizing it: ask for the staff experience before signing in.

Nature gives you what it wants to, but it takes more than luck to be at the right place at the right time. Sometimes you have to go off-track. The flair and experience from your guide will make the difference if you want to see what other groups will miss. This can turn a good into an excellent safari.

This is where Naga Safari differs from the others.
Guides with a lot of experience, fully trained to capture the messages that animals are sending and to react accordingly in order to bring you to the right spot at the right time while keeping you on the safe side. Knowledgeable guides willing to share with you their experience in full openness when others just accompany you. Add a cheerful staff, a top notch service and a wonderful cooking and you have the recipe for a memorable trip.

Enjoy the bush camping experience, with them!

Unforgetable 9 Day Mobile Camping Safari with Naga - Botswana at its best
5/5

A friend and I organised as customised 9 day mobile camping safari from Kasane to Maun via Chobe Waterfront, Savuti, Moremi Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta. We had looked around at other operators (including larger group tours), and Naga offered us the best value.

Mavis and Leslie were responsive during the booking process.
Our guide Moscow was knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the trip.
Our cook Rose was amazing - somehow able to cook incredible breakfasts, lunches and dinners on a camp fire whilst we moved from location to location.
Kando (mechanic) and Kay (waitress/general assistant) were hardworking and friendly.
The team even helped organised to get my luggage to me after it was lost in transit through Johannesburg.

The trip was all inclusive (except for tips) and was well organised but there were a few small hitches. Our tour included a transfer from our hotel in Livingstone (Zambia), but there was some miscommunication between Naga and their Zambian transfer agency which left us waiting at our hotel for a few hours. On the fifth day we had a number of issues with our vehicle, including the wheel of our trailer falling off. On both occasions the Naga staff worked hard to make the best of the situation.

Highlights of the trip included:
- incredible wildlife (we saw lions on three occasions, 1 leopard, wild dogs, buffalo, a lot of elephant, giraffe, antelope, hippos, crocs and far too many others to name).
- camping out in the open, Naga have access to some amazing unfenced campsites in the various national parks and game reserves through BOGA (Botswana Guiding Association)
- Mokoro (canoe) rides through the Okavango Delta

I would recommend Naga Safaris to anyone looking for a mobile camping experience in Botswana!

The cherry on the cake during our 30 days Namibia/Botswana trip
5/5

A charming, dedicated and professional staff (thank you Kenson, Mavis and Lesley) has provided us with a four days safari in the Okavanga/Moremi area we will never forget. A tailored programme, excellent guides, a logistic team who did miracles on the cooking fire and in the camp, in sum a fantastic expierence, flavoured with détails which really make the difference between Naga Safaris and other companies. I can highly recommend Naga Safari and I will take all opportunities to forward this message to others as the Naga Safari team really deserve this. WELL DONE

The review below is the personal opinion of skogstad and not that of SafariBookings.
3/5

In making the plans, we were given wrong banking information from them via email, so we had to investigate lost $ with our banks and send again. They didn't seem apologetic at all at the hoops we had to then jump through. Once we arrived there were changes to our emailed plans and we had to really stay on top of them to get what we were told we'd get (guides, etc.). As we left, the owner told us that they were graciously adding staff to our large group and we could tip them all. When we booked it, they said they'd have staff appropriate for our group size, so this addition seemed odd, as it should have been appropriate staff to begin with. What was amazing, was the guide they ended up giving us, as he is what made the safari trip what it was. What they did best was get us Dennis Pheto. Other than that, I didn't see much special about the company- nor anything too objectionable. I'd use them again, but would definitely shop around first.
