Once again I can’t thank you enough for what was a truly memorable and unforgettable African holiday. This is the second time I have had the pleasure of dealing with you to organise our trip and as I have come to expect - it was as great as the first. My dealings with you have always been relaxed and informal but that belies the incredible professionalism you have so adequately demonstrated in getting us around Africa twice. As a single Father travelling with two sons (11 and 13 years), you have always ensured that all of our hotel/lodges were child friendly, varied and of a high standard. It was also very comforting to know that you always put our safety and wellbeing ahead of any other consideration.I still marvel at the military type precision of transfers, pick up’s, excursions, timetables, hotel bookings flights etc and we sure had a number in each category. All relevant requirements or tips and tricks were detailed for us to refer to during our travels. Just outstanding organisation and a credit to you and those sub agents you employ. The attention to detail in selecting our accommodation was absolutely wonderful. The hotel in Cape Town was beautifully positioned for us to get easy access to the Waterfront and City. Each of the safari lodges in Vic Falls, Sabi Sands and Kapama were so different from each other that it was impossible to compare them, yet each had a uniqueness that will remain with us for many years to come. A common theme with each place we stayed at (this trip and our previous trip too) was the standard of the Staff at the hotels/Lodges. They treated us as ‘family’ and my two sons were constantly ‘Mothered’ by caring Staff. Very feel good I must say.I could go on for ages but the bottom line is that I am so very grateful to you personally, and also John and Hillary and all at Destination Africa, for masterminding some incredible family memories. Thank you!!!!!!!!

A big Thank You to Destinations Africa, our Africa Safari holidays were perfectly executed in every aspects. John, Hilary and Sandie were great even before we started our very first African Safari holiday. Their advises and accommodation recommendations were spot on and professionally organised. We look forward to seeing more of Africa in the future and have no doubt who’ll we be contacting to arrange our next trip! We highly recommend Destination Africa to anyone who appreciates great travel service and accommodation.

Myself , my son and daughter-in-law and two grandsons age eleven and thirteen enjoyed seventeen days in Kenya and Tanzania, the itinerary was discussed and bookings made with "Destinations Africa".We had great value, accommodation comfortable and it had an African Ambience. Food was of a high standard and when wine and beer included in the tariff it was good. Tour guides were knowledgeable , most were multilingual and with fluent English. The game drives particularly in the Masai Mara were exceptional as the guides may leave the designated tracks and this allows very intimate viewing of the animals. It was a very memorable experience.

Very helpful company for very difficult customers

Destinations Africa were really helpful and understanding. Due to my partners work commitments we can't plan very far in advance for holidays. I found Destinations Africa via a google search, I entered in our requirements and DA got back to me within 24 hours. They were quiet shocked to realise we were planning a safari only a month out! And we changed dates a couple of times too. But they were able to accommodate us and were very professional and understanding of our situation. They really went out of their way to make sure that we would get the holiday we wanted. They sent us a full itinerary via email and also an app for the iPhone and the ground staff in Africa where great. They met us at Johannesburg Airport with all the required information and everything ran very smoothly.

We had a wonderful time! Moswari was amazing – we had the best tracker and we saw everything! The room was perfect; the food was amazing and so much of it! The staff were so helpful and friendly, I’d definitely recommend this lodge to other people.
Mozambique was beautiful, although the resort is definitely not a 4 star! It is in a serious need of some maintenance/a little face lift; asides from that it was clean, the staff very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely. It seems odd that they would build the resort on the side of the island where the tide is out for a large part of the day, but I suppose that is the side that you get to see the sunset. So you can’t have everything. With it being winter session it was also very quiet on the resort, at one point only 6 couples! But we had the R&R that we wanted – so ideal for us.

Cape Town is a beautiful city! We loved it, although the day we arrived it was torrential rain and very cold. But it was winter! We did the city sightseeing bus tour which was really helpful in getting the orientation of the city. Cape Town is a lot smaller than I thought, but still very beautiful. If we had our options again, I wouldn’t do the Cape Points tour as a full day; we would hire a car and drive ourselves. It was a very long day and a bit boring at times and not really the best tour guide. If we have known, we would have loved to have done a township tour – we heard about these tours on our way back to the airport for our flight home! It would have been really interesting to see this part of Cape Town as it appears to be a side that is hidden. We went up to Table Mountain, terrifying but very beautiful. We have the clearest day and got some wonderful photos. We also went over to Robben Island, although we nearly didn’t get a place as we didn’t book in advance. Would recommend this, but book in advance!

Thank you for all your help and advice – we had an amazing time. I would recommend your services to anyone that wishes to travel to Africa.
