My very honest review about a 4 days Safari.
5/5

Let's start from the basics:
I am a big review fan, so I take reviews VERY seriously. What you will read in the next lines is 100% my POV.

The tour operator:
I found the agency through the website. I wrote to 3 agencies first and at the end I decided to book through this one, in particular through Noel.
Me and my boyfriend booked a mid-range 4 days Safari through Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro.

Noel answered very fast, at every hour. He is a reliable operator, who always had the answer to my doubts. He made sure we got the right car on the right moment and everything was planned perfectly. He even came to our hotel after the safari just to see us in person and say hello!! Can you believe that??

The tour:
We had to start with Tarangire but our tour has been changed due to our flight change. It happens, but they made sure we see everything we booked.
I had an amazing time. Like the best vacation of my life, no jokes. An experience I will never forget. Me and the group (6 in total + our guide + our chef) are now friends and promised to see each other again. And that's the best gift an experience can give to you.
But what makes a Safari unforgettable? The right guide. Of you don't get the right guide your expectations can be disappointed.

Our highlight:
If you're seeking a fantastic safari experience in Tanzania, look no further than the guide Luttiba. Ask for him when you book. He just made us bond together. Our adventure through Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Tarangire was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to his expertise and dedication.
Luttiba's punctuality ensured we made the most of every moment, even during long drives. His commitment to providing the best experience possible was evident as he navigated the wilderness, offering insights and spotting wildlife with precision.
Beyond his professionalism, Luttiba's humor and respect created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our journey. It felt like exploring with a knowledgeable friend who genuinely cared about ensuring our enjoyment. We laughed, we danced, we shared stories, we got emotional.

In short, Luttiba was truly the highlight of our trip. If you're looking for a guide who embodies everything you could wish for on a safari – reliability, humor, respect, and expertise – Luttiba is the perfect choice.

The food was fantastic also thanks to the Chef David, sich a talented and nice guy, I hope you will have the change to taste his FANTASTIC food.

At the accommodation everybody was nice, we made new friends.

Thank you, Noel, Luttiba and David, for giving us the best time of our lives. We will never forget you.

Asante sana,
hakuna matata!!

Everithing was perfect.
5/5

The best Safari ever with Luttiba, our guide gave 110% to let us enjoy this experience to the maximum. Honestly it is very important. Remember: if you have the wrong guide, you can get disappointed by your safari. With Luttiba the professionalism and happiness are ensured. I ll never stop being thankful for these days. As well Noel was really accomodating and always available, days and night. It is really worth it.

It was really really great.
Noel, who is representative of the Serengeti Luxury Safaris, is very sensitive and caring man. I was very impressed of his caring.
If you're hesitant about making a reservation, there's no need to be.
I bet you will be satisfied.

Fantastic tour! Amazing communication!
5/5

-Short Summary: transparent communication and pricing, knowledge guides/drivers, and exceptional service. If you want to see my photos and experience, check out my IG @SamAlleyMusic

-Full review:
I booked my Africa trip last minute in Jan 2023, so I messaged multiple Serengeti tour operators. Luxury safari replied quickly and provided clear pricing for their various experiences. Other operators seemed slower.

I spoke with Noel briefly and we decided on the 4 day package (3 national parks). They went above and beyond including on time airport pick up (despite my delayed arrival), making sure the tent size is correct ...etc.

Our driver/guide, Mtinangi, was VERY knowledgeable about animals and the ecosystem; I'm a Biologist so we were both nerding out :) He was phenomenal with his jeep; he took us to a few exclusive places the other guides didn't know how to navigate (water crossings, mud ...etc). The cook made delicious food everyday.

We saw all the animals since Mtinangi knew some ideal spots: "the big five" (rhino, elephant, Lion, leopard and Buffalo), hyena, giraffe, warthogs ...etc EVEN an elat. We witnessed a successful daytime lion hunt (the guide has only seen it 3 times in his 15 years of experience)!

I would highly recommend this tour company! They truly gave me everything I want in a Serengeti experience.

They understand quality
5/5

The agency rep, Noel, could accommodate our plan and recommend the right type of safari that fit to what we were looking for. Being a solo traveler, it was important for me to join a group trip to meet the other travelers and enjoyed our adventures together, plus for cost efficiency as well. This company understood on certain quality of the accommodation that I expected and they were all wonderful especially the ‘glamping’ inside tbe Serengeti National Park. Our group was lucky enough to be able to spot the Big 5 within 4 days and I appreciated the quick feedback for any inquiries or feedback that I had during the planning stage till the end of my trip.

This safari was above expectations. Great experience and guarantee you will be seeing the big5. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The driver was also very knowledgable about the areas and about the different animals.

Recommend to book at this touroperator Noel!

Highly reliable, professional, great value and personal service which exceeded my expectations.

After our ascent of Kilimanjaro (which was amazing) we were looking for a restful and enjoyable few days on safari and thank-goodness we hit upon this 3 night, 4-day group safari provided by Serengeti Luxury Safaris. Noel the company head, responded very quickly to my contact and confirmed the itinerary including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater with the first and third nights in very comfortable safari lodges and the second night in a luxury-tented camp (which was a real highlight). Noel confirmed our booking and provided an excellent service. We were picked up from our hotel right on time as promised and our safari began. We were transferred to the modern well-equipped safari land-cruiser jeep along with our expert and reliable driver and our cook who accompanied us during the 4 day safari. The roads in the game parks are what you should expect and despite the heavy duty suspension, get ready for a thorough African massage! The driver was very knowledgeable and we saw and got up close to loads and loads of wildlife including the big 5 - elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetah and even saw a few rhino in Ngorongoro crater. Each game park is unique and different and must be seen and experienced. The jeep has bottled water, soft drinks or even beer/wine if you prefer and the food provided at lunchtime in rest areas by our cook was quite frankly astonishing and excellent. We loved the lodges we stayed in - sitting in the evening sunlight with a bottle of beer talking over the extraordinary day was bliss! The lodges were very comfortable and the staff always helpful. Beforehand, I wasn't sure about our luxury-tented second night but need not have worried as it was just great - very comfortable and a real in-the-wild experience (it's not every day you hear an elephant wandering around outside your large comfortable tent with proper beds!)
Noel kept in touch with us regularly during our safari and made sure we were well cared for and happy. He even visited us on our last evening to check we were satisfied - he is a lovely genuine guy who really cares about his clients and goes that extra mile to make your safari experience enjoyable and memorable. I have no concerns about the value for money - worth every dollar. I hope one day to travel back to Tanzania and when I do, then I would not hesitate to use the services again of Serengeti Luxury Safaris. Hakuna matata! Thanks Noel!

4 day Tanzania Safari: Local operator raised in a Masai tribe.
5/5

This being our 3rd trip to Safari in Africa we didn't think it could possibly get any better, we were pleasantly surprised because we were even more spoiled by the terrific timing of unique animal sighting experiences, wonderful weather, and our magnificent driver/guide Mahlisa who was very personable and spoke English clearly. Realizing the weather and animals are not in our control keeps us humble in how fortunate we were to have the best of both, and getting assigned to a guide with 16 years experience certainly helped get us to the right place at the right time on many occasions. Our decision to choose the mid range package of accommodations was perfect for us. Our lodging experience went from the least luxurious to the most, however; the itinerary wasn't originally set up that way as it was changed due to a group that cancelled their trip. No complaint on our end for that! Upon arrival we stayed one night at Karibu Heritage before starting our Safari, and one night after finishing our Safari - Not impressed with their lack of adherence to time commitments. When you tell them you are getting picked up at 6:30 a.m. and are assured you can have breakfast at 6 a.m. don't expect the cook to arrive until 6:30 and you eat while your jeep waits! Happened twice at that hotel, but the accommodations were fine. Shuhudia Adventure Tented Lodge was nice as far as luxury tent camping goes. Clean and comfortable bed, bathroom in your tent with a shower, hot water and enough pressure to get the water through the pipes, but don't expect a massaging shower head. Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge had good food in a nice lodge and the room had a nice view of the jungle and a back deck to relax on. Be forwarned, if it rains, the metal roof makes it sound a lot worse than it is. We were worried about the tent campers traveling with us because of what we thought was a torrential downpour at night and they hardly new it rained! Our last night was the best at Marera Valley Lodge for comfort and a pool. Staff was accommodating and the lodge was very well kept and clean. Bookending our trip was the tour operator Nole. After picking us up at the airport upon our arrival, informing us of itinerary changes he left us in the hands of our Driver/guide Mahlissa. At the conclusion of our tour Nole helped us arrange a day trip to the Materuni Falls and Coffee plantation where we ground and roasted our own beans for coffee and had lunch, then dropped us back at the airport. He was in contact with us before our arrival and kept us informed about any changes, as well as helped with any info we needed along the way. His love for his job shows through his actions and his desire to educate about the Masai culture and history was an added bonus for us. What we paid for the trip was well worth it for us.
