Kilimanjaro- Overwhelming Experience-Marangu Route
I contacted Fahamu Safaris because I wanted to climb Kilimanjaro.
From the beginning, the contact was very straightforward and the team tried very hard to organize a tour that would meet my personal needs as a female solo traveler. Before my Trip started, I received quick and helpful answers to all questions and concerns, so that I felt that I was in good hands right from the start. Unfortunately, I had problems with the outward flight, so I arrived a day later than originally planned. However, for the Fahamu Safaris-Team this was not a problem at all. They quickly rearranged everything on site for me, so that I could still take the hike. My guide picked me up at the airport. We discussed the route again and my equipment was checked by the team, to make sure I have everything I need for the upcoming days. The tour was organized very professionally and was individually adapted to my possibilities and abilities. Again, I felt that I was in good hands right from the start. The guide had a lot of experience and knowledge. The route and tour was perfect for me, the food and service during the hike were excellent and I had an amazing time.
All in all, my trip went perfectly fine and exceeded my expectations. The price was also more than fair and I can only recommend Fahamu Safaris, if you plan to hike Kilimanjaro.
Fahamu safaris did the best!
We booked the safari 2 days before the trip and even in a short notice, they did amazing job. They were so organized. We received all the necessary information before we started the trip and we had the best experience in our lives during this trip. Our guide Frank was more than a guide, he was a company and a friend during the safari. He had such a great knowledge about the habitat and all the animals and an amazing sight. We chased for adventures :) the hotel was really clean and comfortable, within the savannah and we were exactly within the nature. Everything was above our expectation! Thanks again

Amazing safari
Our Safari to Tanzania and our guide, Emmanuel, were amazing! Everything was well organized, the accommodations were special, unique, and comfortable as we requested, the food was delicious, the whole team was super friendly, Our guide was so knowledgeable and caring about our safety. When I come back I will use this company again and again. Definitely recommend it for anyone interested in a unique experience.

Good conversanalist and professional.
It was our first time being in Africa, I was with my family and I was so worried about the whole planning process of the trip until I came across Mr. Solomon of Fahamu Safaris. Swift and detailed responses were so helpful during our planning process. Not only planning but also the safari experience was exceptional from our Airport pick! The very best part is our guide Frank, he was always trying to understand our safari vision and move along our best interest! We saw a lot of animals like the Great Wildebeest migration, Lions, elephants, cheetah, Giraffe and a very close view of two different Leopards

Longlasting Experience
A group of friends and I extended our trip to Arusha from Sanzibar did a 4days tour with Fahamu Safaris to visit the AMAZING Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire national park. Solomon arranged our safari on a very short notice and everything went perfect and exceeded our expectations. Our guide "Frank" is a professional with incredible eagle eyes - spotting wildlife from far away. All days He looked after us so well during the entire trip, making sure we had the best experience. Frank made sure that our fridge (in the Safari Jeep!) Was stocked full of drinks the entire time (he allowed us to put our other drinks). Memorable trip in very good accommodations!
We went to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The driver/guide was friendly and highly knowledgeable. Our kids loved every moment of the trip and especially enjoyed the long ride. In Serengeti, we saw many lions, a cheater and leopards sleeping on a tree, and in Ngorongoro we saw a black rhino from afar. Both of the accommodations were good, but we absolutely fell in love with the fire place and the beautiful garden in the Retreat. Would definitely come back to the hotel just to be relaxed. Fahamu Safari is small company growing but they offer quality services

Amazing Experience of Tanzania!
We did a lot of research into various tour companies (there are over 300) and found that Fahamu Safaris was the most accommodating as to itinerary, length of stay, tents/lodges, and Solomon was able to answer all our various questions in a very timely basis. It was important to feel they wanted you to have the best trip possible and close communication was vital.
We did 11 days on safari with Frank as a guide. I can't say enough about Frank and his ability to answer any and all questions, to show us so many animals we never would have seen (must have x-ray vision) and to drive hours on incredibly bumpy roads.
If you pick Fahamu Safaris as your tour operator, you would be lucky to have Frank as your guide! Each day, we saw and did different things-from biking, hiking to the Empakaai Crater, seeing thousands of flamingos, and hiking in the Kilimanajaro area. The tents and lodging were all very comfortable, clean and the staff at each could not have been more helpful and accommodating. In each park we ventured into, Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, we saw different topography, animals, and birds. We stay at Isoitok Camp and spent an amazing afternoon with a Maasai guide taking us on a medicine tour to inform us of the various uses of the local tree bark, leaves, roots, etc. to treat common ailments.
The following day we spent time at a Maasai boma (mud house) with the guide and were welcomed by the leader's wife into their boma. It was an experience of a lifetime. We were introduced to African TV (bon fire) at the Chaka camp where the staff could not have been more wonderful and a sunset that was magical. At the Rhino Lodge, we had zebras come up to within a couple of feet of our deck at feeding time which was almost surreal.
There was not one tent/lodge that was not wonderful, so if you are thinking of a safari - give Fahamu Safaris a try! You will not be disappointed! We hope to come back!
