Brilliant first trip to Namibia
We have just enjoyed the most wonderful three week trip around Namibia, organised by Lilly. From the outset, Lilly has been enthusiastic and efficient, listening to our requirements and wish-list, and from there putting together a very good itinerary, taking in some excellent small lodges to break the long journeys. We chose to do ‘self-drive’ (all arranged by Lilly, and included in the trip) and this was easy to do, particularly as Peter at Classic Cars provides very good cars and we loved having the fridge in the back for cold drinks. The roads are tarmac or gravel, and generally long and straight. If you stick to the speed limits, you will have no trouble, and Lilly provides a very good map as well as GPS. Both Lilly and Peter were readily available by email or WhatsApp whenever we had a query, and any small problems or questions were resolved immediately.
We would highly recommend Lilly at Great Explorations Namibia, and we hope to return next year to see more of Namibia.
The country is very beautiful, with each couple of days offering varying scenery, the Namibian people are very kind and gentle, and the high standards at the lodges for both comfort and food was remarkable. We enjoyed seeing the desert elephants and black rhino, and were lucky enough to see four desert lion at Entendeka as well as a black maned lion at Hobatere!

Magnificent road trip
Great explorations Namibia (Anja) well organized our trip according to our demands. The itinerary was perfect and we managed to do everything that was planned in 7 days. She was very helpful and understanding. Thankfully we did not have any problem during our stay or with our rented car. We would recommand booking with them !

Amazing trip
The company is extremely reliable. Everything was organized perfectly and no problems at all.
I was dealing with Anja van Neel and and I was very happy with her. She follow up on all the bookings along the way as I had to stay in a few places and she was aways available if I had questions. I highly recommend this company if you need to go to Namibia.

Amazing attention and organitzation!

It was an excellent office and the service was impeccable.
He provided us with an amazing stay at all the hotels and camps. They also gave us very informative brochures with information and maps. The staff at the car rental office were also very helpful and always there for us in any difficulties we encountered along the way.

Great experience with a self drive camping tour
We did a 16 day self drive camping tour with Great Explorations Namibia. The itinerary was very well put together, and the choosen accomodations/car rental company were great.
Our travel consultant, Allison, was really nice and managed to plan the whole itinerary very quickly, since we booked this last minute.
Highly recommended.

Great Experience!!
As a traveler that is used to plan trips alone, I was skeptical about using a tour operator, but I can say it was worth the investment. Allison was INCREDIBLE and really helped me find the best options for our preferences. We spoke for weeks before the trip, she adapted the itinerary to what we wanted to do and the period we were staying. They helped us in getting a SIM card and in making last minute changes due to a delayed flight. I can’t recommend them enough! thank you for everything, Allison, and Lili.

Excellent Tour Operator for a worry-free experience in Namibia
We chose to contact Great Exploration Namibia after trying to book our trip ourselves, which was challenging as we tried to do this only 3 months ahead of our trip.
Planning & Booking process;
We heard back from Anja very quickly and the initial contact was really welcoming and thoughtful from the start.
We had agreed on an itinerary per day within a short time through quick communication by email, followed by choosing a list of activities to book alongside the accommodations. Anja isn't afraid to push back on some initial ideas that would not be recommended or would be a bit rushed, this is great as I might be a bit enthusiastic at times. Once all was agreed all got booked in no time and followed up by a very helpful online itinerary with map, accomodations with day-by-day itinerary, and more. Anja sent through all of the vouchers for accommodation and activities separately by email. Payment was smooth and paid by Creditcard online.
Arrival;
We got picked up from the airport by the car rental company Namibia2Go, the driver was helpful and waited while we got cash out of the ATM and bought a SIM-card. Anja met us at the Namibia2Go site and gave us a pouch with all required documents, vouchers, roadmap etc. even 2 books for bird-spotting and animals to spot at Etosha which we've used while exploring Namibia.
During trip;
We've experienced no hiccups during our trip, all was booked correctly and had easy check-ins along the way. Whenever we had a question about an accomodation/activity we had a quick follow-up from Anja through Whatsapp. The accomodations booked were all excellent considering availability within the area.
We really enjoyed our trip and did not have to worry about accomodation/activities, would recommend booking through Great Explorations Namibia

Effective
The agency (our consultant Anja) was very fast responding since the 1st email that we exchange. Suggested the itinerary that we liked and changed it according to our wishes.
Available 24/7, which was useful as it turned out when we experienced some issues during our journey. Good choice of accommodation, also good value for money.
