Great One-Day-Safari experience
We had Day-Safari as three of us. The safari car was ideal for 3 people. Unlike the group safari tour vehicles, SUV car was very comfortable and protective against cold while twilight. Sun-roof of the car was very useful. Our excellent guide Mr. Norman was informative all the time.
The restaurant we stopped by for lunch was great. I would highly recommend Mmilo Tours.

great customized experience - reliable operator, kind staff and great value!
We had a wonderful time in Kruger National Park, thanks to Mmilo Tours, who helped to pick us up from another safari location and bring us to the Park - they have great accommodations, almost within walking distance to the Park, and great price. We really enjoyed their package and our compliments to Patrick Hanratty, the Managing Director, as well as our guide/driver - Willem Heckroodt. We travel quite a lot around the world, are pretty discerning about the quality and price of our travel experiences, and happily recommend this company to other travelers.

The best and most professional tour operator in the world
This was our second time in less than 2 years working with Patrick and Mmlo Tours. They've spoiled us for any other operators! We live in the USA, and all it takes is an email to Patrick outlining interests, budget, timing, etc. and he returns a proposal with options and fantastic descriptions about everything he's recommending. Mmlo seems to have an uncanny ability to answer questions before you ask. Really thorough and clear. This most recent trip, we took Patrick up on his offer of a private guide for a safari. My friend and I enjoyed the company and expertise of Mmlo guide Norman Lok. We had the pleasure of being in Norman's care at the start of our safari trip - he took us from the airport to our safari lodge near Pilanesberg National Park, and then again on our 3rd day when he gave us a private, guided safari ride in the park, and got us to our next destination, Hartbeesport for the night. On our final day, Norman picked us up and took us to the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, and shared some lesser known attractions with us where we saw meerkats and shopped at a fantastic craft market. When you book with Mmlo, you must request time with Norman. He is a country-wide certified guide. We learned more about the animals and the South African culture from Norman than from any of the other guides. By far. He's a gentleman, he thinks ahead to what you might need - water, a seat, Internet, etc. We will be going back to South Africa and will only use Mmlo Tours for your adventures. Oh, and I should mention, we got the time wrong for one of our evening safari drives (completely our fault) and I emailed Patrick to see if he could help us figure it out. He called me immediately and was very helpful. And it was a Saturday late in the day. The customer service is impeccable.

Exciting first experience in the wild
Patrick, the guide, came to pick us up on time - 3am - in Jo'burg and drove us to Pilanesberg and through Pilanesberg. We had a very exciting experience through the park viewing 4 out of 5 big 5s (we missed the cats).
The guide is very competent and helpful in explaining peculiarities about animals and environment.

We were fortunate to find Mmilo Tours by searching the Internet. Professional with great integrity!
First impressions were enhanced by the prompt and helpful responses to our many questions. Because we were new to the country we bombarded Mmilo with dozens of emails, all of which were replied to quickly and helpfully. We soon established a 10-day programme for Cape Province where we were ably guided by Charles. Up North in Gauteng we were firstly guided by Wilhelm and then by the boss himself, Patrick Hanratty. Our tours varied from penguin colonies, to wine tasting and from game reserves and conservancy projects to deep-sea fishing. We even managed a historical tour to Robben Island in the wake of Nelson Mandela. Throughout 3 weeks we were enchanted by the country and not least by the guides who are so committed to show the best of their heritage and fauna.
We were not an easy group - early on in the programme, one of us suffered an accident at our hotel, necessitating short-notice changes to the programme - which were handled with the customary professionalism and care.
We do not hesitate to recommend Mmilo Tours to visitors who will be able to rest easy in their hands as we did.

fantastic customised 6-day tour
When I originally sent a request for more information to Mmilo Tours and several others through the Safari Bookings website Jamie was the first to answer and also the one who was right away suggesting a lot of options. so based on that decided to book with Mmilo Tours! and I was not to be disappointed! Since we had limited time and wanted to see a range of different things in SA Jamie packed a lot of things in it: we were picked up at the Johannesburg Airport by Norman who drove us via the Long Tom Pass to Sabie - where we stayed one night. He proved top be a fantastic tour guide who know so much of the history of SA and the area that the time flew by fast!We then stayed at the Sabie Town House - which was fantastic - great room - with bathroom - pool and Jacuzzi! i just wished we could have stayed longer there! Dinner was included and the chef had a great meal prepared! on day 2 we were picked up by Sam - a local tour operator who spend the day showing us the Panorama Route including: Lone Creek Falls, Mac Mac Falls, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls, Bryde River Canyon, Wonderview, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window and the Pinnacle! i was able to take lots of photos and also fly my drone in these locations! after a lunch (included in the tour!) at the Pancake house Sam drove us to the south end of the Kruger Park (crocodile river) where he dropped us off at the Pestana Lodge. we stayed there for 3 nights.
on the next day we started early for our first game drive and where picked up by Lloyd - a Park guide from Sanparks at 3.40 am - very early for us to get up but i was worth every minute ! - in the 3 hour game drive we saw a lot of animals including Buffalo, White Rhinos, Zebras, Giraffes, Elephants, Impalas, eagles, and more! so within the first drive we had 4 of the "big Five"! and then we also saw something very rare - two black Rhinos! After breakfast back at the lodge we were then picked up by another driver to take us to Kwa Madwala Lodge for a flight with a Microlight!! It was fantastic to see the game reserve from above and fly along the Crocodile River! well worth the extra money!
In the evening our second game drive with again lots of animals - this time in evening light - with Leopards (2!) and herds of elephants and everything else. The driver was Oupa - and he was great and would be the driver on our remaining game drives! he went out of the way to find Lions for us - and on the second day of drives we did see 3 male lions! So many thanks to Oupa for gong above and beyond to ensure that we saw everything that the Park has to offer! in total we had 6 game drives @ 3 hours or more- and i loved every minute of it! it is one thing to see the animals in a zoo - but that does not compare to seeing them in there habitat in the wild!
on our last day Jame had organised a trip to Chimp Eden- about 1.5 hours away from the lodge - and t was great to see the rescued Chimpanzees that are being care for at the camp. well worth the extra drive to see and observe our close cousins in their behaviour !
on the last day Norman picked us up again early n the morning to drive us back to Johannesburg in time to catch our plane.
overall t was a fantastic tour where everything was well organised and we did not have to worry about anything! the drivers were fantastic as we learned a lot! i would at time book with Mmilo Tours again and can only recommend the dedication to providing the best possible experience!

Great 5 day Kruger safari
I had booked the 5 day Kruger safari with Mmilo, based on the great reviews. Patrick was very fast in responding to my mails. After arrival at OR Tambo airport, Patrick booked me at the City Lodge. A very comfortable hotel at the airport within walking distance, so no hassle for a transfer. There was absolutely no noise from the busy airport. Next day, I took a short flight to Nelspruit. I have stayed the first 2 nights at the Hamilton Lodge. It is very conveniently situated at the entrance of Kruger Park. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpfull and the restaurant was a topper. I have enjoyed every meal. I had 4 game drives, and there was just one small issue for 1 game drive due to a misunderstanding with the game drive operator. When I reported this to Patrick, he looked into the problem and I got an answer back within 30 minutes. Another 30 minutes later, I got my own private game drive. My guide was very ennoyed with the situation and she didn’t want to accept my tip at first. But she was very lovely and I had a great game drive that day. The next 2 days I spent at the Kwa Madwala lodge. This is just a fantastic lodge with a magnificent private view. I can only say that my safari trip was well organised thanks to Patrick and Jamie and the customer is not a number but a person, so many thanks to Patrick and Jamie. I can certainly recommend Mmilo.

An amazing experiene with a kind and very knowlegeable tour guide
The tour was better than we expected: we were able to see an amazing number of animals, including a whole pride of lions after hunting a buffalo. The park itself is very beautiful, with its special colors. Our guide, Mr. Norman, was kind and very knowledgeable about both South African history and nature/Zoology. We ended the tour with an excellent lunch.
