An Experience We Will Treasure Forever
Our 8-day journey in Uganda with Kyooma Gorilla Safari was truly unforgettable. From the very first contact, we felt listened to and cared for, with a perfectly tailor-made itinerary designed around our needs.
The accommodations exceeded our expectations, the food was excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully organized. Our guide, Edgar, was not only a skilled and safe driver, but also a wonderful companion throughout the trip: knowledgeable, kind, and always ready to share insights, with very good English.
Meeting the gorillas was an incredibly emotional and once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were especially grateful for the support in arranging a sedan chair for my mother, which made this extraordinary moment possible for her as well. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Well organized and professional
I booked 5 days with Kyooma Gorilla Safaris which included Mount Sabyinyo, one day Bwindi Gorilla tracking, batwa cultural, and Lake Butyunyi lake tour. The itinerary was what I inquired for and every trip flowed int the other with no issues. My guide Muttwezi Shever was instrumental in facilitating the activities, providing information as needed, and driving me everywhere. I always had water and snacks, and had the opportunity to taste obushera along the way. I recommend this business for Uganda hiking and gorilla tracking activities. Everything met expectations and there were no surprises (only pleasant ones).

Amazing
This week just ended and I’m feeling so thankful to Kyooma gorilla safaris. Mwije, the manager, has been the best one. She organize everything in the best possible way. Accomodation were special, the tour has been amazing. Andrew, my driver, has been the best one. She even took me to places that weren't included in the tour, like a local market and a home for needy women and girls. They were wonderful experiences.
I feel compelled to recommend Kyooma 100%. They can make your visit to Uganda the best ever.

Great
Did the one day golden monkey encounter in the volcanoes national park. Shever was the driver, friendly, great communication and stopped at certain places to take pictures on the return trip. Only issue was the vehicle was having issues on the way there.

Highly recomended!
We booked 4 days golden monkeys tracking in Volcano NP and gorilla tracking in Bwindi NP and everything was just perfect. Very well organized, pick up in Rwanda, transfer to Uganda, check out by the Lake Bunyonyi. Despite of our low budget the accomodation, food, transport etc. were of high standard.
And I would like to especially thank to Muhwezi Shever who was our driver and guide - he was carefull driver, educated guide, always with smile. He helped us with all trables we had (money exchange, buying staff ...).

Incredible experience on 2 day gorilla trek
Our experience with Kyooma for a 2 day Mountain Gorilla trek was exceptional! The entire experience was more than we could have hoped for, seeing a family of 10 gorillas up close was unforgettable. Highly recommend taking the 2 day option to visit the genocide memorial and enjoy the lodge and area, including the women's collective.
Mwije (office manager at Kyooma) was so friendly and responsive, planning was easy and seamless. Our guide Robert was knowledgeable and friendly and a great driver. The accommodation at Da Vinci Lodge was excellent - the food was terrific (we chose our menu for each meal and acccomodating a vegetarian diet was no problem) and enjoyed a warm fire in our room and hot water bottles in our beds. Everyone went out of their way to make it a comfortable and worry free trip from beginning to end. Very strongly recommend Kyooma!!

Communication with Kyooma was fast and easy. They sent helpful reminders leading up to our trip. We had a comfortable van for 4 of us and a smooth ride to Volcanoes National Park. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable.

Smooth!
Did a day hike from Kigali with Muhwezi as our driver and main point of connection. He was incredibly helpful throughout the journey, and I felt safe with him around! On the way back to Rwanda, we took a quick short at his favourite local diner for lunch and to the markets to experience local life. It was a pleasure to be in the company of such a caring presence.
